Based on the past research, there are still limited studies in proving content used on social media, time spent on social media, cyberbullying contributes to the social skills that are deemed unimportant and irrelevant in Malaysia. Therefore, this study is intended to show the variables do have a relationship with one another, determining each of the objectives in this research is proven right. This study applied the Theory of Planned Behaviour as the main theory to fortify and take the relationships at a greater distance between each variable. Quantitative methods were applied in this study and data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 181 respondents who were students at Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA pursuing a Diploma in Corporate Communication. Besides, the findings showed a significant relationship between content used on social media, time spent on social media, cyberbullying to behaviour, and the reaction of an individual. Established evidence between variables that are, content used on social media, time spent on social media and cyberbullying is affecting behaviour and reaction of an individual. Hence, this study assisted the field of communication through the establishment of a more comprehensive variable related to the behaviour and reaction of an individual and supported to Planned Behavior Theory.

Drainage systems play an important role in the development of managing surface runoff water. This is because without proper management of the drainage system, it can cause flooding in the area. Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) has suffered floods and caused significant losses. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to study the types of drainage systems available around the UTHM area. In this regard, semi-structured interviews were conducted with a number of respondents from the Development and Maintenance Office UTHM to study the problems of each existing drainage system around the area and to look at ways of improving the existing drainage system. The types of drainage systems available at UTHM have been identified as conventional drainage systems, Urban Stormwater Management Manual (MSMA), monsoon drainage, main drainage and land drainage. Problems such as drainage system, waste and clogged drainage also being identified. Among the improvements identified are replacing MSMA with open drainage. In conclusion, the study of drainage system implementation at UTHM can provide a clearer picture of the drainage system used around the study area.

: Palliative care is the field of medical care intended to provide comfort to patients who have chronic or terminal disease from the time of diagnosis and throughout the course of the illness. MOH (Ministry of Health) has aimed to establish palliative care units for inpatient and outpatient facilities However, there is no design guidelines for hospice centre due to palliative care is still considered a new field in Malaysia. This study reviews the patients’ perception in hospices in Malaysia based on layout, nature, privacy and social support. As a participatory volunteer of the hospices, this case study is carried out with qualitative observations and interviews on two chosen hospices as case study based on their typology, namely Pure Lotus Hospice, an in-patient facility in Penang and Assisi Palliative Care, a domicilliary facility in Petaling Jaya. The finding shows that there is a strong correlation of user perception to the privacy provided in the hospice. This study infers planning for privacy should be a priority when planning for future hospices as well as policies.

Bangladesh Abstract: Maternal mortality is a global concern, and peaks in developing countries. Adequate antenatal care services (ANCs) are indispensable for the survival of both the mother and the fetus. A global phenomenon leads us to the idea that aboriginal communities are socially more disadvantaged than non-tribal communities worldwide. Hence, the scholarship determines the association of socio-economic standing and adequate use of ANC facilities by Bangladeshi tribal women. This study is a quantitative study using a convenient sampling method. Semi-structured questionnaires were used to obtain data on married women (n=556) between the ages of 15–49 who had children aged one year or under. The data were analyzed using the SPSS (version 20) S/W. Associations were developed using Chi-square testing and regression analysis was used in this research. Significance was determined at p-value <0.10. Results show that only 29.9% of pregnant tribal women sought ANC services, of which 13.5% visited a hospital for ANC services four times or more during pregnancy. A significant association between religion, age at first marriage, and family planning with adequate ANC services was observed. This study concludes that women’s education, occupation, state of economy, residence location, and distance from healthcare facilities all positively influence the adequate use of ANC services. Thus, upgrading socioeconomic status, decentralization of health facilities, strengthening family planning program and ensuring educational opportunities for women are recommended for adequate consumption of ANC services.

A total of 129 secondary schools’ teachers randomly from Kanowit district in Malaysia participated in the study. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the level of the feedback environment practices based on the teachers’ perception is below-average. In terms of school climate, both collaboration and student relation dimensions have gained the above-average level while the school resources dimension, decision-making dimension, and instructional innovation dimension have obtained the below-average level. Specifically, the study also found that the dimensions of feedback credibility, feedback quality, feedback delivery, and encourage feedback-seeking behaviour significantly influence on school climate. Therefore, organizational leaders must emphasize the existence of the feedback environment in the workplace as an injection into the school climate to ensure high performance among employees.

Taylor (1999) in defining ‘message strategy’, relates this concept to ‘how to convey’ certain information rather than ‘what is being conveyed.’ Taylor also explains that the term, ‘message strategy’ is viewed as an approach used by an individual or an organization in introducing a product, service, or the institution itself as one of the techniques of promotion as well as communication. A similar situation occurs in the context of developing the society, as a development agent is the main organization that is responsible to plan a particular message strategy especially in disseminating information about developmental activities. Based on the previous studies, it was discovered that developed countries tended to use more message strategies in spreading information about development to the communities (Taylor & Finley, 2010). However, the agents responsible for changes in developing countries were found to have frequently failed to use the appropriate message strategies to encourage the local society to participate in development programs (Unermen & Bennet, 2004). The inability of the community to understand the messages conveyed had caused the message strategy used to be ineffective (Aldous, 2005). Abstract: Message strategy is a collection, compilation and dissemination of ideas, issues and information by taking into consideration the basics of communication skills in the execution process. In the context of development, the dissemination of information by agents of development is unclear and ambiguous which this results in the information being misunderstood by the public, especially when it involves a diversity of the publics’ backgrounds. The lack of communication strategy arrangements by the development agents has caused the information to be delayed or probably truncated for the public to accept. This paper explains the process included in identifying the items that are related to message strategy in the context of community development. The validation of the items involved two methods; content validity and factor analysis. The analysis of content validity proved that all of the items of message strategy adopted from the previous researchers in the context of development were accepted via Analysis of the Content Validity Index (CVI). In addition, factor analysis also discovered that items were extracted according to the factor as adopted from the previous instrument. Both analyses concluded that the items of message strategy which were adopted for this study in the context of community development were accepted.

The objective of the study is to explore the child welfare network practices implementation. The study which is qualitative in its approach utilised Grounded Theory to gather the data. A series of face-to-face and in-depth interviews have been done among 30 respondents that come from 24 different agencies. The finding show that the operations of the child welfare network system in Malaysia is in conflict with the mixed economy of care approach. The Social Network Development Model was developed to respond to the empirical evidence. This model can be instrumental in developing an integrated child welfare network in Malaysia.
