[Title: Road Damage Detection Using Deep Learning Image Processing in Semarang City] Roads are a crucial necessity in community activities. They facilitate transportation access from a particular place to the destination. Furthermore, roads are important as land transportation infrastructure for both people and goods. However, inadequate road conditions can lead to accidents. Tracking road conditions is challenging due to the large number of roads that need to be inspected. This research utilizes remote sensing principles with Deep Learning Artificial Neural Network technology. YOLO (You Only Look Once) is employed for road damage detection. The detection results are enhanced with precise positioning or location using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), allowing for accurate detection results. This study produces a road damage identification model with an overall accuracy of 88% and a kappa accuracy of 86%, as well as location distribution of damages with positional coordinates accuracy of ±5.6 meters (RMSE).

[Title: Improvement of Teakwood Biomass Energy Quality Using Microwave Torrefaction For Biochar Production] This study focused on upgrading the waste teakwood through microwave torrefaction processes and investigating the critical operating parameters to improve energy density and energy efficiency for better feedstock in producing the quality of biochar fuel. The experiments were carried out in a 250 mL reactor placed in a microwave cavity on two different media, inert and non-inert. The microwave was operated at a frequency of 2.45GHz with power level variations of 540W, 720W, and 900W, respectively. During torrefaction processes, the nitrogen gas flows into the reactor at a rate of 0.125 mL/min, and the air medium (non-inert) is activated naturally. Observations were conducted on the temperature inside the reactor every 0.5 minutes for 20 minutes using a K-Type thermocouple. Changes in the mass and the properties of the torrefied products were observed and analyzed to predict the correlation between calorific value, mass and energy yield, and level power of the microwave. The results showed that with the increased operating power of microwave torrefaction, the calorific value and energy density of product material increased significantly. In contrast, the mass and energy yield tended to decrease. Air has great potential as a substitute media for the expensive nitrogen gas to perform the microwave torrefaction of waste teakwood biomass.

The use of concrete as the primary building construction material caused serious problems in the construction industry. Concrete is not regarded as an environmentally friendly material since the use of cement results in high carbon emissions during the manufacturing process. One effort to replace cement without reducing concrete strength is to use fly ash as a concrete ingredient, which is known as geopolymer concrete. The goal of this research was to determine the basic mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete and compare it to conventional concrete with the same material proportions. The mix design of the three different proportions with the ratio of aggregates to binder as 70% : 30%, 60% : 40% and 50% : 50% was maintained such that the concrete mix has a good workability. As a result, the so-called workable fly ash-based geopolymer concrete has higher compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity compared to conventional concrete, while its Poisson's ratio is slightly lower.

[Title: Single lap-joint Tension strength behavior of woven jute fiber-polypropylene (PP) matrix composites using resistance welding (RW) Method]. This paper examines the tensile strength of resistance welding (RW) joints of jute fibre-based composites polypropylene (PP) matrix (JFRP). The RW method using electric current flowing on nikelin wire carried out. The welding process for nikelin wire is varied, based on the diameter size of 0.3 mm and 0.5 mm. This study aims to investigate the strength of join using the RW method according to variations in diameter of the nikelin wire. Here, 5 times each sample tested repetition based on the ASTM D638 standard. Tensile testing was carried out on a Universal Testing Machine (UTM) with a cross-head speed of 3 mm/min, and a load cell of 5 kN. The experiment result shows that the JFRP in single lap bound with nikelin wire 0,5mm diameter has the highest tensile strength compared to nikelin wire 0.3mm diameter are 213.58 ±0.05 MPa dan 210.34 ±0.05 MPa, respectively. Meanwhile, Young’s Modulus of JFRP single-lap joint by using the nikelin wire 0,3mm diameter has a higher value than 0,5mm diameter of nikelin wire are 8.16 ±0.05 GPa dan 8.44 ±0.05 GPa, respectively. Then, the elongation at break of all JFRP sample have similar values of 4%. The conclusion shows that resistance weld is promising enough to bound the thermoplastic composites. In addition, the nikelin wire diameter is important to factor that influences the mechanical properties of joints.

[Title: Hydrogeological Conceptual Model to Estimate Infiltration Capacity of Coastal Aquifer at Gowa-Takalar, South Sulawesi]. The Gowa-Takalar area is a coastal plain mainly composed of materials of alluvial and coastal deposits. The materials form an unconfined aquifer that has been intensively exploited since the 1990s. Groundwater chemistry data of the last two years indicates the effect of seawater intrusion into aquifers. The annual cycle of the rainy and dry seasons with the properties of the unconfined aquifer may become an essential condition to maintain the sustainability of groundwater resources in the region. Numerical modeling was performed using Visual MODFLOW Flex to evaluate aquifer capacity based on recharge capacity due to the season changes. The simulation results showed that the recharge into the Gowa-Takalar coastal aquifer system was dominated by the recharge from a river in July – September, while October – June by infiltration of rainwater.
