This study emphasizes the importance of student understanding in the implementation of professional learning orientation (PLO). PL requires students as preservice teachers to continue to develop in order to increase their professional capacity in continuing to learn, and this capacity increase is correlated with improving the quality of student learning if the orientation is to become a professional teacher. The number of samples is 100 students of total. This research used quantitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are indirect communication techniques. This study used a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 20 questions. The data that has been collected in this study was inputted and quantified using a dummy value of 1 to 4, After the researcher got the result from the questionnaire, then the data was processed by the researcher using the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) method, to show the pattern of practice factors for pre-service teachers in PL (Professional Learning). The results showed activities in two factors REO (Research, Evaluation, Orientation) and CSCD (Collaborative Social Capital Development) as preservice teachers at PLO (Professional Learning Orientation) at the IKIP PGRI Pontianak Campus. From the finding that has been presented, it is expected that students as preservice teachers can maximize every learning activity in these two factors in order to increase their capabilities as students with level value of high, especially those who will become teachers in the future. The results of this study are recommendations to provide insight into the Professional Learning Orientation (PLO) which can be a learning reference for all students in developing their learning techniques in studying, especially if the orientation is to become a professional teacher.

Speaking in English is a scary thing for students. This is influenced by psychological effects, namely fear of making mistakes in pronunciation and grammar or using the right words. An unsupportive environment also causes students to be afraid to speak. It is therefore necessary to create a pleasant classroom atmosphere for the learning objectives to succeed. This research uses research and development methods adapted from the development of 4D models that consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate.The STAD type learning model used in this study was applied in a virtual classroom using an online learning system to bring the atmosphere of a real classroom into the virtual classroom. In virtual classrooms, students cannot meet face to face with other students so that it will reduce the interaction process and cause individualismThe development of a Cooperative Learning learning model type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) can help lecturers in teaching English speaking pleasantly in virtual classes. The results of expert team tests and product trials show that the learning model is feasible to develop.

Covid-19 emergency online learning requires a simultaneous transformation from face-to-face learning to online learning. The goal of this reseach is to know comprehensively about the perception of Students of the English Tadris Study Program on the effectiveness of online learning during the pandemic at IAIN Pontianak. Based on observations and interviews by several Students of the English Tadris Study Program, online lectures took place with various obstacles. The pros and cons occur among students related to the implementation of online learning. Most students prefer lectures to be conducted face-to-face due to various factors, including: boredom due to lack of direct interaction with friends and lecturers, too much burdened with assignments by lecturers, unsupportive internet access, even to the point of frustration due to lack of finance to accommodate online learning. However, the current conditions do not allow lectures to be conducted offline for all students. Then this should be a more concern for the English Tadris Study Program to evaluate and improve in the future to accommodate the problems faced by students during online learning during the pandemic.

The objectives of this study are to analyze about the different and similar of multiple choice and cloze test in reading comprehension, and about the perception toward the multiple choice and cloze test among students that influence reading comprehension. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In collecting the data, this study used, Observation, Interview, Questionnaire, and Documentaton. The data were taken by test cloze and multiple choice. This study was conducted to there were 21 informants which were 7 boys and 13 girls of Students and a Teacher of SMA 15 Muara Enim. As a result of this study showed that test was able to make the students tested motivated to learn a lot about English. But there were some who do not understand. In essence, the cloze test and multiple choice test were very suitable to be used as learning test references at SMA 15 Muara Enim.

Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan Bahasa Inggris siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam Bahasa Inggris, faktor - faktor penyebab kesulitan tersebut dan bagaimana cara mengatasi kesulitan dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, komunikasi langasung dan tak langsung. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, wancancara dan observasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 1 guru dan 17 siswa. Untuk menganalisis data peneliti melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini mennyatakan keterampilan Bahasa Inggris yang sulit dipelajari oleh siswa mulai dari tingkat paling sulit meliputi; Listening (38%), Speaking (28%), Writing (18%), dan Reading (16%). Faktor penyebab kesulitan ini, terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi kurangnya minat dan sikap belajar siswa, intelegensi siswa, metode dan strategi guru, motivasi belajar siswa dan kesehatan siswa; faktor eksternal meliputi metode dan strategi belajar guru, lingkungan keluarga siswa dan sarana prasarana sekolah yg tidak mendukung. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan memahami metode dan jenis pembelajaran siswa, mengembangkan motivasi siswa, melakukan evaluasi secara berkala serta melakukan pengayaaan dan remedial.

The shifting of classroom instruction from face-to-face to online learning is inevitable due to the Pandemic. The condition has forced teachers to adapt to educational technology, especially digital immigrant EFL teachers who are not, in general, familiar with the digital technology. Not much research has been done regarding the experiences of digital immigrant EFL teachers, the challenges of digital immigrant EFL teachers, and how digital immigrant EFL teachers adapt in the early phase of the transition from offline to online learning. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the experiences and adaptation of digital immigrant EFL teachers in the early phase of the transition from offline to online learning. Qualitative research in the form of a case study was used as a research approach. The researchers took the data from interviews, observations, and documents. There were two English teachers as respondents in this study. The data obtained from the interviews were then transcribed verbatim and analyzed using thematic analysis. The current study shows that there are two main themes as findings to be discussed; Digital immigrant EFL teacher experiences at the beginning of offline to online learning, and how Digital immigrant EFL teachers adapt to teaching online. Most Digital Immigrant EFL teachers had different ways of adaptation. However, the difficulties in online teaching were able to be managed since teachers were constantly learning to improve their digital literacy. This study might have implications for the understanding of the practices of digital immigrant EFL teachers in the context of teachers’ professional development

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan podcast untuk keterampilan berbicara di depan umum yang menghibur dan untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa terhadap penerapan podcast dalam mata kuliah public speaking Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus. Untuk memperoleh data, peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi dan teknik komunikasi langsung yaitu daftar periksa observasi dan wawancara sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester dua IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Untuk menganalisis data, peneliti yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif naratif. Teknik ini ditentukan melalui tiga langkah, Reduksi Data, Penyajian Data, dan Kesimpulan (Miles dan Huberman, 1984) dari hasil checklist observasi dan wawancara. Penerapan podcast memiliki keuntungan bagi siswa, salah satunya ketika siswa berlatih podcast dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa, khususnya dalam berbicara. Kegiatan dengan video live podcast mendukung keunggulan penerapan podcast dalam mata kuliah public speaking, dan penerapan podcast dalam mata kuliah public speaking sangat bermanfaat bagi mahasiswa dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara karena metode pembelajaran yang menarik, sehingga dapat menambah wawasan mereka. dan percaya diri dalam berbicara di depan umum. Ini bisa menjadi alasan bahwa menggunakan podcast untuk mengajar siswa bagaimana berbicara bahasa Inggris akan meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mereka.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran daring terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMP Negeri 1 Mandau. Waktu penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2022. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua variabel yaitu variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Adapun variabel bebas (independent variabel) yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah penguasaan aplikasi pembelajaran daring (X). Sementara variabel terikatnya (dependent variabel) adalah hasil belajar siswa (Y). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan di atas, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran daring yaitu sebesar 82,26. Rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Mandau ketika pembelajaran daring yaitu sebesar 87,15. Terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran daring dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa sesuai dengan hasil pengujian hipotesis dimana thitung lebih besar dari pada ttabel yaitu thitung ttabel (thitung = 3,05; ttabel = 1,67). Besar pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran daring di SMP Negeri 1 Mandau dengan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa adalah 15,20%.

The present study aimed to capture the students' perceptions of their teachers' strategy in teaching grammar to children's classes. The research method conducted in the study was mixed methods. The number of participants was seven students studying at a junior level. The instruments used in the study were interviews and observation.The findings indicated that the students tended to perceive that the grammar lesson was a severe lesson for them. Hence, they preferred a more exciting and less complicated learning process. In sum, the students perceive that learning grammar should be done in a less severe matter but still encourages the students to learn effectively.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur struktural pada cerita rakyat Pak Aloy Berburu Kijang yang berasal dari Desa Sungai Bakah Kabupaten Melawi. Cerita rakyat merupakan salah satu karya sastra yang secara khusus dapat membantu pembaca untuk mengenali budaya-budaya nusantara yang terdapat pada cerita rakyat tersebut. Selain mengenalkan budaya nusantara, cerita rakyat juga berguna untuk media pendidikan dan hiburan juga menumbuhkan kecerdasan emosional. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriftif kualitatif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini yaitu cerita rakyat pak Aloi yang diperoleh dari narasumber yang berasal dari masyarakat Desa Sungai Bakah.
