Blended Humor and Mind Mapping in Improving 21st Century Skills 混合幽默和思维导图提高21世纪的技能

Instructional communication that occurs in the classroom is expected to be pleasant communication for achieving instructional goals and improving 21st-century skills. 21st Century skills include communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. This study aims to enhance students’ 21st-century skills through the application of humor and mind mapping in classroom instructional activities. The object in this study was the 65 freshman in the Professional Education Department of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The results show that learning in the classroom becomes more fun and stress-free to understand through humor applied through humorous, motivating, and ice-breaking videos. Besides, there are communications between students through discussion forums and collaboration between them in the learning process. Other than that, student cognitive in critical thinking about the problems discussed in the learning material improves, as well as their creativity in organizing learning media digitally and non-digitally.

Implementing Physical Learning Based On Momentum and Impulse Stem Materials to Develop Collaboration Skills 基于动力与冲动Stem材料的物理学习发展协作技能

The challenges of the 21 st -century life require that every individual must master 21 st -century skills. The 21 st -century learning and innovation (4C) skills are among the skills that rank first among other skills. Collaboration skills are part of 4C skills that are important for students to develop. The 2013 curriculum policy and STEM-based learning are solutions to the challenges of the 21 st -century development. The results of a survey of 16 high schools in the city of Semarang, show that schools have not applied to learn with the STEM approach and have not specifically developed collaboration skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the development of student collaboration skills through the application of STEM-based physics learning. The research method used was quasi experimental with a form of nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class X MIPA SMA 11 Semarang, class X MIPA 5 as an experimental class, and class X MIPA 7 as a control class. Retrieval of data using observation and documentation methods. Analysis of research data using observation sheet analysis with the help of SPSS and Microsoft Office Excel programs. The results showed that collaboration skills after applying STEM-based physics learning developed in the medium category.

Effect of Public Elementary School Financial Challenges on Student Achievement 公立小学财政困难对学生成绩的影响

The quality of education is often seen from the achievements of students. Meanwhile, student achievement in school is influenced by many factors. The financing factor is one factor that cannot be separated from the teaching and learning process. The relationship between educational funding and student achievement is still being debated. This study aims to reveal the relationship between the number of funding resources in schools and student achievement. This research used qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The collected data were analyzed using interactive model analysis and purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that public elementary schools have limited sources of funding. The amount of money managed by one school differs depending on the number of students and the ability of parents. This study finds that education funding has no direct effect on student achievement. Schools that have significant financial resources do not necessarily have high achievements. The effectiveness of schools in managing their finances also becomes essential. Besides, the role of policymakers, the ability of teachers, and the participation of parents are crucial to increase the education quality.

Oe3r Strategy Implementation as an Innovation on Inquiry Based Learning toward Redox Reaction Mastery Oe3r策略实施:探究性学习对氧化还原反应掌握的创新

The Oe3r strategy is an effort to develop a learning model based on inquiry. Oe3r strategy consists of orientation, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and reflection. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Oe3r strategy on the chapter redox reaction and obtain student responses on it. The research used a quantitative descriptive method. Implementation description is derived from observations on the learning process, while student responses are obtained by capturing responses through questionnaires. The implementation of the Oe3r strategy was carried out in High school students with 35 students. The results of this research indicate that students give good to respond, felling meaningful on the learning process and expect the Oe3r strategy can be applied in other chapters.

Digitalization of Ethno Constructivism Based Module for Elementary School Students 基于民族建构主义的小学生模块数字化研究

This research develops e-module teaching materials by using a digitalized book application based on ethno constructivism and also discerns students' responses to the e-modules. We employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) to create the books. The ADDIE model consists of five steps, namely (1) introduction, (2) planning, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The subjects of this study were 21 fifth-grade students of elementary schools 112/I. The re-sults of this study captured that the product was favored by most of the students with percentages of interest (72.73%), motivation (77.27%), and perception (63.6%).

The Quality of Senior High School National School Examination Questions 高中统考试题质量研究

The objective of this study was to obtain information about the quality of high school National Standard School Exam (USBN) questions in Pontianak in 2018/2019 academic year. To achieve this objective, the information excavated includes (a) the process of compiling questions (b) the test of the feasibility of the questions (c) the eligibility requirements of the questions (d) administering the exam (e) the examination system of the examination scripts (f) the reporting system, and (g) the correlation of values report cards and high school USBN grades in Pontianak with UN scores. This study employed a descriptive method. The selection of high school samples used as data sources was done by random sampling and purposive sampling. Data were gathered through documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data were then analyzed with descriptive statistics and correlational studies. The results showed that, in the high school USBN questions in Pontianak City, (1) there were still stages in the process of drafting "not done", (2) empirical tests before the compilation of the final questions "had not been done," (3) administering the "already" applied exams as UN procedures, (4) manuscript examination system is implemented manually, (5) reporting of exam results by respective subject teachers, and (6) correlation of report card grades and high school USBN scores in Pontianak with "mostly" low "UN scores "and even in certain" negative "schools. It means that report cards and USBN scores cannot be used to predict UN results.

Abstract: The Improvement of Basic Measurement Skills Through Pair Check Type Cooperative Learning Models. Pair check cooperative learning is a learning model of a small group of two students who are responsible for completing academic assignments with peer guidance. This study aims to ex­plore the effect of cooperative learning pair check models on automotive measurement subject matter. Thirty-two students were divided into two groups. One group consisting of 17 students is an experi­mental class, while the other group consisting of 15 students is a control class. Research data is a score of students' skills in reading the results of automotive measurements. Research data was obtained at the final evaluation of learning using a questionnaire. The results showed that the average score of the ex­perimental class was 78.35, while the average score of the control class was 57.73. The difference in the average score of the two groups was tested using t test statistics for independent groups. The results showed that the average score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the con­trol group. This shows that cooperative learning type pair check can improve students' skills in reading the results of automotive measurements.

The results showed that the average score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the con­trol group. Abstract: Developing Learning Materials Based on Training Within Industry (TWI) to Improve the Building Construction Student’s Learning Outcomes.This second study aims to test significances differences between (1) using teaching materials with TWI method and the conventional method; (2) the high achievement motivation students and the low achievement motivation students; and (3) learning structures (TWI method and conventional method) and the high achievement motivation and the low achievement motivation toward the students’ learning outcomes. This study is an experimental research for students who take the Bricklaying and Concrete Practice lesson in an academic year. The hypothesis test uses two-way variance analysis (ANAVA) to find out the differences in the mean between cells (A and B). The results showed that there were significant differences in the students’ learning outcome be­tween (1) the TWI teaching materials and conventional method; (2) the students who have the high achievement motivation and the students who have the low achievement motivation. Furthermore, there were significant interactions between factor of giving the vocational work practices and motivation to­ward the students’ learning outcomes.

UPAYA MEWUJUDKAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN MELALUI PARTISIPASI ORANGTUA SISWA 通过家长参与来提高教育质量的努力

Abstrak: Upaya Mewujudkan Mutu Pendidikan Melalui Partisipasi Orangtua Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) ragam bentuk partisipasi orangtua dalam meningkatkan mutu pen­didikan, (2) strategi sekolah dalam memberdayaan orangtua untuk berpartisipasi dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, dan (3) indikator pencapaian mutu pendidikan yang merupakan kontribusi dari partisipasi orangtua. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, pendekatan fenomenologis, dengan rancangan studi multi kasus pada dua sekolah dasar negeri dan swasta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi peran serta, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan model alir dan comparative constant. Ada tiga rumusan hasil penelitian, yaitu: (1) partisipasi orangtua dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan berbentuk fisik dan non-fisik; (2) strategi sekolah dalam memberdayakan orangtua untuk berpartisipasi dalam meningkatkan mutu pen­didikan melalui pembuatan program yang menarik dan bermanfaat bagi orangtua, menciptakan iklim yang kondusif, pelibatan orangtua dari perencanaan sampai pada evaluasi program sekolah, penerapan prinsip transparan dan akutabilitas, berikutnya melalui intensitas jalinan komunikasi melalui berbagai media komunikasi; dan (3) indikator pencapaian mutu pendidikan yang merupakan kontribusi dari partisipasi orangtua meliput icapaian prestasi non-akademik melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, proses pembelajaran, dan kondisi sekolah.
摘要:通过学生家长参与来提高教育质量的努力。本研究旨在确定(1)家长参与改善教育质量的方式;(2)家长参与提高教育质量的学校战略;(3)父母参与的质量成就指标。本研究方法是一种定性的、多层次的方法,采用两所公立和私立小学的多案例研究。数据收集是通过深入采访、参与者观察和文档研究进行的。流体和比较慢的数据分析技术。研究结果有三个公式:(1)父母参与改善身体和非身体教育质量;(2)学校战略赋予家长参与培养的能力,通过制定对父母有吸引力和有益的计划,创造有利于父母的气候,从计划到学校项目评估,再到通过各种交流媒介的透明和可预见性原则的实施;(3)父母参与的教育质量质量指标通过课外活动、学习过程和学校环境来涵盖非学术成就。

Abstract: Synchronization of the Potential of Industrial World with School Profiles Vocational to Improve Quality and Capability Graduates of Vocational Schools in Indonesia. This study aims to map: (1) the potential of the business and industry that has the opportunity to collaborate with vocational fields; (2) profile of vocational field school (SMK) business in improving the quality of education; and (3) synchronizing the potential of the industrial world with the business profile of the SMK. This re­search was conducted using qualitative methods. The research location was centered in the East Java region with samples divided into three regions, namely the northern region, the southern region, and the eastern region. This study reveals that: (1) the industrial world has the opportunity to establish coopera­tion with vocational schools, namely the handicraft industry, food processing, creative arts, engineering technology, processed seafood, and materials; (2) priority programs for Vocational Schools in East Java include: improvement in special expertise, school-based enterprise programs, demand-market-driven programs, hands on experience programs, production based education programs, on-the-job teacher training programs, on the job programs student training, classical indoor and outdoor programs, training to be entrepreneur programs, and center test recruitment programs; and (3) synchronizing the map of the potential of the industrial world that has the opportunity to establish cooperation with vocational schools with a profile of Vocational Schools is very necessary because it can improve the quality and capability of vocational graduates.
