Learning Alphabets Through Infographics 通过信息图表学习字母

Early stages of reading and writing rest solely on the alphabet.  Learning of letters with infographics in the elementary classes makes learning more easy and meaningful.  The study examined the potentials of infographics in enhancing learning at an early childhood level especially on letters.  The researcher utilized experimental design which including pre and post-test. The package was validated by experts with a reliability coefficient of 0. 77. The findings of this study showed that the experimental group means a score of 30.60 is higher than the control group means a score of 30.50 co-efficient. Moreover, the means score of 30.742 for females and 30.345 for male pupils was obtained. The study concluded that children at the early childhood level could learn better using infographics based approach. It was recommended that incentives should be provided for pre-school teachers to participate in highly effective staff development to help them integrate infographics into their teaching and learning. Also, infographics based approach be used for all subjects in early childhood education in Nigeria

Asessing Parenting Education: Parenting Styles Of Adolescents In Rural And Urban Society 评价父母教育:城乡青少年的父母教育方式

The objective of this study is to find out the differences of parenting styles in rural and urban society toward with adolescent’s involvement in family decision making. This research using a cross sectional survey method and embracing the theories of Montessori, Steinberg and Santrock about adolescent development, and Yusuf in parenting styles. The instrument used was adapted from the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire. It was consisted of 13 questions they were independency, responsibility, honesty, self-acceptance, receiving mistakes, trust, protection, freedom, involvement, and discipline. The result of rural society was the highest maximum value on the acceptance question (59%), namely admitting mistakes. For urban society data showed that the highest score of the questionnaire is about the parenting style of acceptance with a value of 62%. This meant that the result of the parenting style the child receives was the permissiveness style of care. The conclusion based on the area the urban society is more democratic in parenting. It makes teenagers more independent, confident and open minded

Improving Teacher’s Performance Quality in The Freedom to Learn Program Using Zone-Based Lesson Study by Exchanging Teachers 通过教师交换,提高学习自由项目中教师的绩效质量

This study aims to investigate the implementation of the strategy of zone-based lesson study by exchanging teachers in order to improve teacher performance, including (1) designing RPPs in accordance with the Circular Letter (SE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) No. 14 of 2019 concerning the Simplification of RPPs (lesson plans); (2) designing teaching materials such as UKBM (Self-Study Activity Unit) and LKPD (Student Worksheet); (3) implementing Freedom to Learn (FTL); and (4) increasing student participation during FTL. Besides, the strategy can also prepare teachers to become zone organizer teachers. Data were collected for two cycles in which each cycle had two meetings. Data were analyzed through reduction, interpretation, inferences, follow-up, and conclusion. The research subjects were the best quality teachers in their subjects: 1 Biology teacher and 1 History teacher from three schools in cycle 1; and 1 Math teacher and 1 Sociology teacher from two schools in cycle 2. The number of schools where treatments were given in cycle 2 was reduced to follow SK (decree) issued at the end of cycle 1, stating that one of the schools is beyond the target school area. Results showed that the strategy of zone-based lesson study by exchanging teachers can facilitate the improvement of teacher’s performance quality, the path for teachers to become zone organizers, and the work production for professional development as a result of collaboration between supervisors, principals, and teachers

Developing Augmented Reality-based Learning Media to Improve Student Visual Spatial Intelligence 开发基于增强现实的学习媒体以提高学生的视觉空间智能

This article illustrates an effort to create a learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) to improve student visual spatial intelligence. This type of intelligence is important for student to understand such subjects or topics like spaces, because to completely understand the image student should imagine the object’s shape and space. The lack of learning media in many schools caused the lack of student understanding toward the topic. According to the problem above, this research employing Research & Development (R & D) approach to develop AR-based learning media to facilitate 6th grade student to learn solar system more visually. The post-test has shown that there is an increased number of student visual spatial intelligence, especially on solar system topic. So, it can be concluded that AR-based learning media has huge potential to facilitate student to learn such topics related to space and the like.   Abstrak Artikel ini menggambarkan upaya pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan spasial visual siswa. Jenis kemampuan ini penting bagi siswa untuk memahami subjek atau topik yang berkaitan dengan konsep ruang, karena untuk sepenuhnya memahami gambar, siswa harus membayangkan bentuk dan ruang dari objek tersebut. Kurangnya media pembelajaran di banyak sekolah menyebabkan kurangnya pemahaman siswa tentang topik tersebut. Berdasarkan masalah di atas, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research & Development (R & D) untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis AR untuk memfasilitasi siswa kelas 6 belajar tata surya secara lebih visual. Hasil post-test telah menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan spasial visual siswa, terutama pada topik tata surya. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AR memiliki potensi besar untuk memfasilitasi siswa mempelajari topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan ruang dan sejenisnya.

Using Smartphone to Enhance Student’s Digital Art Literacy 利用智能手机提高学生的数字艺术素养

Digital native students need digital art literacy to deal with the contemporary development of art and technology. This article illustrates how smartphone can be used as a powerful tool for that purpose. When student get bored with textual learning approach to study art, simply using smartphone could make learning practice more fun and meaningful. In this article, students in junior public high school 8 in Pare, East Java, grade 8, are directed to create a simple illustration using Sketchbook application on smartphone. It is quite simple, but the process behind the product was made student really enjoy and could express their artistic taste and expression. Thus, smartphone optimazion can be one way among others to encourage student’s digital art literacy which are more enjoyful and meaningful. Abstrak  Siswa yang lahir di era digital membutuhkan literasi seni digital untuk menghadapi perkembangan seni dan teknologi kontemporer. Artikel ini menggambarkan bagaimana telepon pintar dapat diguankan sebagai media yang cukup kuat untuk menunjang tujuan tersebut. Ketika banyak siswa bosan dengan pembelajaran seni yang tekstual saja, cukup dengan menggunakan telepon pintar ternyata dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan bermakna. Pada artikel ini, siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 8 di Pare, Jawa Timur, kelas 8, diarahkan untuk membuat karya seni berupa ilustrasi sederhana menggunakan aplikasi Sketchbook di telepon pintar. Hal ini cukup sederhana sebenarnya, namun proses di balik hasil akhir berupa produk ilustrasi tersebut telah benar-benar membuat siswa menikmati dan dapat mengekspresikan ekspresi dan selera seni masing-masing. Oleh karena itu, optimalisasi telepon pintar dapat menjadi salah satu di antara banyak cara lain untuk mendorong peningkatan literasi seni digital siswa yang lebih menyenangkan dan bermakna.

The Development of Gamelan Learning Media for Android Operating System Android操作系统下Gamelan学习媒体的开发

Gamelan is one of the most important traditional music instruments of Javanese culture, but it is too expensive for schools to have it. In order to enhance student awareness, sense of belonging and skills on playing Gamelan, this research tried to develop a learning media for Android operating system. By employing research and development (R & D) approach the development process of this research refers to Alessi & Trollip (2001). Adobe flash has been used as a basis of the media development and after several process (planning, design, and development) the learning media is ready to use, because the post-test indicated an increased student score on their understanding and beginner skills on playing Gamelan. At least, this learning media become an alternative way to learn Gamelan traditional music instrument by using Android. Abstrak Gamelan merupakan salah satu instrumen musik tradisional yang paling penting dari budaya Jawa, tetapi terlalu mahal bagi sekolah untuk memilikinya. Untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa, rasa memiliki dan keterampilan bermain Gamelan, penelitian ini mencoba mengembangkan media pembelajaran untuk sistem operasi Android. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) proses pengembangan penelitian ini mengacu pada metode yang dikembangkan oleh Alessi & Trollip (2001). Berikutnya, Adobe Flash telah digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan media dan setelah beberapa proses (perencanaan, desain, dan pengembangan) media pembelajaran ini siap untuk digunakan, hal itu karena hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan skor siswa pada pemahaman dan keterampilan mereka sebagai pemain pemula dalam memainkan Gamelan. Setidaknya, media pembelajaran ini menjadi cara alternatif untuk mempelajari alat musik tradisional Gamelan dengan menggunakan Android.

Restoring the Critical Power of Curriculum Studies to Transform the Society 恢复课程研究改造社会的批判力量

Curriculum Studies has evolved for years and already gain its very honorable place in the heart of education studies. Most education scholars said that curriculum is important, curriculum is the heart of education (Priestley & Philippou, 2019), and in so doing curriculum studies. But, how this very important field of studies survive and evolve in this vulnerable and unpredictable era which neoliberal agendas dominating almost educational field around the world? We are witnessing how the culture of positivism, competition ideology, New Managerialism, and even racism and hatred, poisoning and deflect the aims of education. On the other hand, there also a crisis in curriculum studies in which curriculum seems only struggling and focusing on theoretical discourse without any significant influences on the material world. Right in this very difficult position of curriculum studies, the work of Wayne Au is significant. He wrote very important book entitled “Critical Curriculum Studies: Education, Consciousness, and the Politics of Knowing” in 2012. Which Michael Apple in the series editor introduction said that this work is ambitious and provocative, because it seeks theoretical and epistemological foundation of critical curriculum studies that challenges many basic assumptions about curriculum (Au, 2012, p. xv). I am agree with what has Apple said and through this review book article I would say that Au’s work has huge contribution to the development of curriculum studies in this contemporary era, especially in order to become a tool to change or transform the society to be more democratic and just.

PELATIHAN PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN SISWA BAGI GURU SEKOLAH DASAR 基于学生对小学教师需求的分析的学习模式发展培训

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas  pelatihan pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis analisis kebutuhan siswa bagi guru sekolah dasar.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni eksperimen, dalam hal ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini ialah 30 guru sekolah dasar yang bersedia untuk mengikuti pelatihan yang diberukan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala likert  serta wawancara dan observasi.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni statistik deskripif dan statistik inferensial dalam hal ini adalah paired sample t-test. Hasil analisis data pre-test dan post-test dengan menggunakan teknik  paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signfikansi sebesar (0.oo) lebih kecil dari (0.05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan mengenai kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan model-model pembelajaran.
本研究的目的是了解学生对小学教师需求的分析基础学习模式开发培训的有效性。实验使用的研究类型,在这种情况下是实验的quasi。研究的参与者是30名愿意接受指定培训的小学教师。采用利基特量表、采访和观察的数据收集技术。在这方面使用的数据分析技术是最先进的样本测试。通过对前期和后测试技术的测试分析发现,signfikansi值(0.0 0)小于(0.05)。这表明,教师在发展学习模式方面的能力有了显著提高。

PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU BINAAN DALAM MENYUSUN RPPH MELALUI WORKSHOP DI GUGUS PAUD RANTEPAO KABUPATEN TORAJA UTARA

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan rancangan Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah (PTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru binaan dalam menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Harian (RPPH) melalui workshop di gugus PAUD Rantepao, Kecamatan Rantepao, Kabupaten Toraja Utara. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk siklus yang berulang, di dalamnya terdapat empat tahapan kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perhitungan akhir rata-rata mengenai kompetensi guru dalam menyusun RPPH, setelah diberi tindakan ternyata optimalisai kompetensi tersebut baru mencapai  71%  tergolong “baik”, hal ini disebabkan karena ada beberapa komponen yang belum maksimal dicapai oleh guru antara kemampuan memahami komponen-komponen RPPH termasuk kompetensi dasar yang harus dituangkan pada penyusunan RPPH

ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN MAHASISWA DALAM MATA KULIAH STRUKTUREN UND WORTSCHATZ II DITINJAU DARI ASPEK PERSEPSI 学生对结构与WORTSCHATZ II的理解分析是感知的各个方面

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah sturukturen und wortschatz II ditinjau dari aspek persepsi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah sturukturen und wortschatz II. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri atas angket dan wawancara. Angket yang dikembangkan menggunakan skala semantic differential mulai interval 1 (tidak paham) sampai 6 (sangat paham)  yang terdiri atas 10 item dimana setiap item mewakili satu materi dari topik sturukturen und wortschatz II. Jumlah partisipan yakni sebanyak 50 mahasiswa  yang merupakan mahasiswa bahasa Jerman semester 4 yang telah memprogramkan mata kuliah sturukturen und wortschatz II yang berasal dari 3 universitas yang berbeda yakni Universitas Negeri Makassar, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, dan Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Teknik analisis data yakni statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa materi mengenai penggunaan preposisi yang menguasai akkusativ dan dativ, materi konjugasi kata sifat, serta materi tingkat perbandingan kata sifat menjadi kesulitan bagi mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan materi-materi lainnya. Selain itu terdapat beberapa materi yang mudah dipahami oleh mahasiswa seperti penggunaan possessivpronomen, modal verben, dan penggunaan nebensatz.
