En los últimos años, la proliferación y fácil acceso a los vehículos aéreos no tripulados (uav) ha causado un gran número de incidentes en el mundo. Los gobiernos han aunado esfuerzos para regular y controlar la operación de estos sistemas, al impulsar la creación de soluciones que permitan detectar y mitigar posibles ataques mediante estas plataformas. En el presente artículo se describe el proceso de diseño e implementación de un prototipo de inhibición de uav para las bandas gps (L1 y L2), WiFi 2.4 GHz y WiFi 5.8 GHz. Los resultados de las pruebas realizadas mostraron un alcance de inhibición de 150m con una potencia de transmisión por banda menor a 25 dBm.

It has long been taught that democratic strength is the best remedy to gain economic development. In that sense, the broader the social freedoms, the greater the opportunities for the growth of a nation. However, with the rapid development of the Asian tigers, where democracy might not be the common denominator, this vision of development turned not only toward democratic strength but to the structure of institutions as well. Although democracy could remain as the main ingredient to achieve this longed-for and westernized economic development (Lipset, 1959a, 1959b), it is not necessarily the only variable to determine such progress; rather, is the type of institution what becomes essential in establishing incentives and creating better conditions to achieve a political and economic “take-off” of this kind. Hence, democracy, in the long term, would allow opening the way to development, although not without ignoring the importance of history in each country, which in the end determines singularities for the development of nations.

This article examines the space segment as part of the structuring process of an aerospace project, starting from the problem of disarticulation of design processes, the omission of operational factors, and unawareness of the behavior of the space segment in orbit. For this purpose, it is necessary to revisit the steps required in the mission design of a space system, the architecture and the constituent subsystems of the generic segment, as well as the useful operational factors for the development of the mission concept. Hence, different representations of the orientation and translation movement of the space segment are presented as a guide for the modeling of low-orbit observation missions. Based on this, two characterizations of design and representation requirements are provided as practical examples —both for the mission design, with the synthesis of mission objectives of a space program, and the representation of the space segment— against the needs of a close proximity mission with in-orbit maneuvering capabilities that may require not one but several coordinated satellites; all this by using the Electromagnetic Formation Flying method (emff).

Este artículo de reflexión, derivado de investigación, es el resultado de un estudio exploratorio hecho por los autores. El estudio se centra en el uso tanto civil como militar actual de las órbitas satelitales terrestres y la utilización de estas en un posible conflicto internacional que requiera las capacidades espaciales de los países involucrados. El análisis se realiza a partir del marco del denominado Tratado del espacio exterior de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas. Así mismo, este estudio presenta un enfoque tanto jurídico como técnico que permite visualizar un posible conflicto y el incumplimiento del mandato de no militarización del espacio exterior. Para ello, se presentará una recopilación de antecedentes históricos de la carrera espacial centrada en aquellos hitos que han permitido a la humanidad lograr la evolución tecnológica actual. Seguidamente, se presentará un análisis normativo aplicable a las tecnologías satelitales. Además, se mostrarán referentes tecnológicos de sistemas que son usados actualmente para propósitos civiles y militares.Este estudio de contexto permitirá resaltar las amenazas y las posibilidades de un conflicto internacional mediante el análisis de las capacidades institucionales y militares que los países que son potencia en el desarrollo de tecnologías espaciales están desarrollando. Una vez se establezca que es real y latente la posibilidad del conflicto que hace uso de capacidades militares en el espacio ultraterrestre, se analizarán los aspectos principales del concepto de militarización del espacio y su respectiva normatividad. En último lugar, se presentarán las conclusiones del estudio: que a la fecha se encuentra militarizado el espacio y que es necesaria una actualización de la normativa espacial teniendo en cuenta la antigüedad de la normatividad.

En la actualidad, la alta demanda de pasajeros en los diferentes aeropuertos del país, el crecimiento, fortalecimiento y nacimiento de compañías aéreas junto a la necesidad de encontrar un combustible sustituto del combustible fósil y que a la vez, sea amigable con el medio ambiente, ha potencializado el estudio, implementación, uso y optimización de los combustibles alternativos en el sector de la aviación. Hoy en día, a pesar de que no se tienen numerosos ni grandes avances en la industria de la aviación, la implementación de nuevas fuentes de energía es un tema que se ha venido evaluando con el paso de los años. Por ello, surge la necesidad de conocer el estado actual del uso de estas nuevas energías, específicamente en el sector aéreo nacional, ya que se ha demostrado que Colombia tiene un gran potencial en la producción de biocombustibles a base de caña de azúcar y palma, los cuales han empezado a usarse para el funcionamiento de motores de combustión interna alternativos (gasolina y diésel). Por otra parte, la revisión bibliográfica permitió afirmar que a pesar de los escasos intentos por demostrar las grandes ventajas que tiene el uso de combustibles alternativos en la aviación nacional, los resultados han sido satisfactorios, lo cual promueve al desarrollo y empleo de una nueva fuente de energía en Colombia.

The aerospace industry has evolved dramatically over the years, motivating the Colombian aerospace sector to undertake its own efforts regarding research and development. Such motivation promoted the two-phase research project that will be addressed in this work. The first part of this paper explains the methodology that was adapted to effectively conclude the first phase of the project and thus give a start to the second phase. Then, the article introduces the normative framework that supports research projects by international regulatory entities that could be adapted to national initiatives. Afterward, prior research studies on this subject and their contribution will be addressed, spanning over the history of rocketry in Colombia since the first experimental launches carried out about sixty years ago and the development of experimental protocols by Colombian universities and other institutions —including the work by San Buenaventura University (Bogotá) research group GIAS—, to finally connect these experiences with the objectives of this study. The last section presents the results obtained after the first phase of the project and what is expected during the second phase.

Assessing performance is essential when a new aerospace product is being developed. Drones are considered a noble product with enormous potential for the aviation industry in the upcoming years. In this context, certified drone designing is a complex activity that requires the interaction of various areas of knowledge and that is normally approached in phases ranging from feasibility to production. Therefore, this article proposes the use of agile methodologies for the conceptual design of a drone, considering that several studies have shown the potential of this type of methods for addressing similar challenges, as in the case of software development. Scrum was the agile framework selected for the design of the device and thus better manage product complexity and process disturbances. A proposal for the application of this method, showing the different design stages, is presented in the final section of the paper.

The technological knowledge generated by a company can be defined as the set of information coming from the design, analysis, construction and testing of its technological products, innovations, and processes (McGinn, 1991). This type of knowledge entails characteristics that make it difficult to be preserved and transmitted, particularly due to its high tacit component (Polanyi, 1966). For this reason, it is important to investigate the characteristics of this class of knowledge in order to facilitate its creation, management, conservation, and transmission. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the work methodology of activities associated with the design and manufacturing of helicopters, as well as the knowledge management generated and its evolution path over time in a company selected as case study. The practices and roles played by each of the actors within the company are also significant aspects to be considered. The technical analysis of all the helicopters developed by the company Cicaré s.a. has been used as source of information; although, in particular, there are not available records of this company’s activities or financial statements over time. Interviews with people related to the current firm and its history have been fundamental. Cicaré s.a. is an Argentinian aeronautical company working in the development and manufacturing of internationally recognized helicopters. It is considered a benchmark in the industry for the innovations it has developed on this type of aircraft, which are used today throughout the world. The first vertical flight in South America, the development of one of the first ultralight helicopters and a real controlled flight simulator are some of the firm’s main innovations. This study seeks to identify the coexistence of two design and innovation methodologies applied to aeronautical technology by this company. On the one hand, there is a production department that, using standard engineering methodology (Mott, 1995), produces serial helicopters. Besides, a research and development department applies prototype analysis methodology (Gero, 1990) looking for innovations and product improvements.

This research seeks to estimate the incidence of burnout syndrome, also known as occupational burnout syndrome, and its relationship with the administrative and operational workload of th-67 pilot instructors at the Helicopter School of the Colombian Armed Forces. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out in order to identify the presence of burnout syndrome. The study involved the application of the Maslach Burnout Inventory, which evaluates three dimensions: personal accomplishment, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization. In addition, the association with the working conditions of flight instructors in regard to training and flight operations as well as administrative and military tasks were also considered in this study. The results showed that burnout syndrome is not a frequent condition in pilot instructors, since emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimensions reported low levels in most participants, while personal fulfillment recorded high levels. Besides, no association was observed between the studied labor factors (hours of training, time in an administrative position, hours in an additional position, administrative burden, and number of years as a th-67 instructor).

Por lo tanto, la instruccion y la capacitacion tambien forman parte de los estudios en los que se documenta el uso de los Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje (eva) para determinar el alcance de las tecnologias virtuales en todos los niveles de aprendizaje (desde el aprendizaje de un contenido de una materia en la educacion superior hasta la construccion de un barco en la capacitacion tecnica y laboral). Este articulo tiene dos propositos. El primero es analizar el estado de la investigacion sobre procesos de instruccion mediados por herramientas virtuales. Para ello, se realiza un analisis bibliometrico de las publicaciones realizadas entre 1997 y el 2018, indexadas en la base de datos scopus. El segundo proposito es examinar los principales avances presentados en la literatura cientifica revisada para asi determinar los desafios que enfrentan estudios posteriores, principalmente en lo que respecta a procesos de Instruccion, Entrenamiento y Evaluacion en el Puesto de Trabajo (ieept). Dentro de los hallazgos de esta revision, se establecio que el incipiente proceso de investigacion de la instruccion mediada por tecnologia explica la falta de publicaciones sobre el tema indexadas en bases de datos internacionales. Tambien se establecio que, mediante el empleo de las herramientas disponibles para los procesos de instruccion, como simuladores y software, se pueden adelantar procesos de investigacion similares a los documentados en este articulo. portuguesOs avancos tecnologicos tem permeado todas as formas de ensino e aprendizagem.
