All sectors of human life have been affected by the Covid-19 virus, including the media industry. There have been many changes in the media organization. The patterns that have become standard have completely changed due to the pandemic. The media face many challenges because of that. Those are the risk to the safety of workers, the loss of several types of jobs, the dominance of information sources, and threats to the diversity of information that the public can receive. Those were the results of this study. That results were obtained by a research process carried out from May to mid-December 2021. The method was carried out by interviewing and observing journalists who worked in the Surakarta area, Indonesia. Apart from that, it also observed the media work process (newsroom). Technology, the safety of life, dominance of news sources, and diversity of content were challenges for media actors in ethical demands and the fulfillment of basic principles of journalism that have not changed at all.

This study aims to anticipate the loss of learning for students in the geography education field practice in the southern region of Merapi Volcano during the Covid-19 Pandemic era by developing Android-based interactive learning multimedia as a medium as well as teaching materials. The development uses the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Product feasibility was assessed by six material and media expert lecturers and 10 geography education students as users. The result of the development is an interactive multimedia with flipped book combined with Adobe Flash Maker on Android, with the name "Merapi Volcano Imaginary". The contents of the material are geographic physical and socio-economic studies on ten study areas, namely: Tugu Yogyakarta, Lava Breccia, Sambisari Temple, Merapi Museum, Plawangan Hill, Mbah Maridjan Museum, Kaliadem Bunker, Gendol River, Museum of "Sisa Hartaku", upper River Section "Opak". The experts rated the media and material in the Excellent category. The results are the same by users for aspects: readability, cohesiveness, attractiveness, coloring, material understanding, material order, and metacognitive value. All respondents stated that multimedia was very feasible and effective as a medium and teaching material for field practice of geography education in the southern region of Merapi Volcano

The 2020 elections were held for the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic, this also had an impact on campaign activities as it is known that during the pandemic all outdoor activities were limited. This study aims to find out what kind of campaigns were carried out and the media used by the winning individual pairs and their team in the 2020 Local Leaders Election of Rejang Lebong during pandemic. This study applied a qualitative method with a constructivism paradigm. The research subjects are individual pairs and supporting teams. Data collection technique is in the form of interviews and documentation. This research applied Nowak and Warneryd’s campaign model to explain this phenomenon. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the campaign is not much different from the previous Local Leaders Election but the use of social media is very important in the campaign during the pandemic because all activities are limited, therefore social media has an important role during the campaign period and the media used in the campaign, namely: social media such as Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram.

The purpose of this study was to find out how dramaturgy is in the self-presentation of smokers. The research method uses a qualitative with an interpretive approach. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, observations, FGDs, and literature studies. Miles Huberman interactive model data analysis technique. The results showed that smokers among teenagers almost entirely did dramaturgy where there was a difference in smoking behavior on the front stage and back stage. Smokers apply Goffman's self-presentation, for example on the back stage they smoke, but on the front stage when dealing with teachers/parents/leaders/employers/lover – they do not smoke. The self-presentation of an adult smoker who has fully demonstrated himself as a true smoker places himself on the front stage as well as the back stage, using self-promotional tactics and even exaggeration. However, smokers among teenagers, will make a disclaimer by trying to deny and hide their identity as a smoker if they are at home with their nuclear family, namely father-mother-brother-sister. However, on the back stage, the teen smokers both carried out a self promotion strategy as a technique for presenting themselves by opening themselves up, especially when hanging out with their high-frequency friends.

Implementation of the Presumption of Innocence by journalists has implications for the occurrence of trial by the press and potentially impacts social disharmony. This study aims to explain the interpretation of the presumption of innocence in journalism, and the understanding and application of the presumption of innocence by online media journalists. This research uses qualitative methods by utilizing two data collection techniques. Firstly, documentation that collects some related research about the Journalistic Codes of Ethics of the Press Council, PWI and AJI. Secondly, in-depth interviews with four online media journalists. The result shows that the literal interpretation of the presumption of innocence is a principle not to judge someone even though it is side by side with the principle of objectivity, covering both sides, mention of identity, and legal grammar. Online media journalists have a collective understanding of the presumption of innocence. However, the journalists have an authentic understanding that causes the different implementation of the presumption of innocence. Moreover, demands for faster news production, media agency policies, and personal interest from journalists also impact partial implementation. This research contributes by forming a model for applying the presumption of innocence for online media journalists to avoid trial by the press.

The existence of print mass media keeps the quality of journalism. In this case, journalism is not just pursuing new/actual news but presenting deep information that can be accounted for intelligently. The moral responsibility of the print mass media in this context makes the nation enlightened. Society is not easily dragged into the fast-paced news, instant information, and first-to-appear information hunting. Print media journalism presents meaningful journalism.
