The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of work experience and communication on the performance of secretaries at Bali's Five-Star Hotels. This study was quantitative in nature. In this study, the population consisted of 98 secretaries from 50 five-star hotels in Bali that had been registered since 2021. This study's sample consisted of 98 Executive Secretaries and Departmental Secretaries selected using the side saturation or “Sampling Jenuh” technique. The data used were primary data derived from respondents' responses, which were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The strategy for collecting data consisted of a Google Form questionnaire. In this study, it was found that 1) work experience has a positive and substantial influence on secretary performance, 2) communication has a positive and significant influence on secretary performance, and 3) both work experience and communication have a positive and significant influence on secretary performance. As for the guidance that may be given to Five Star Hotels in Bali, particularly the secretarial division, it is suggested that the secretary's excellent performance must be supported by a high level of commitment to performing responsibilities in line with the job description.

The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated technological transformation in education. Online learning has become a new culture in education that brings significant changes in the intersubjective relationship between educational actors, which was originally full of warmth but has now turned into formality due to distance meetings. This research aims to reveal the ways of relationship that occur between teachers and students and their consequences in online learning practices. The study used a phenomenological approach by collecting data through interviews with 11 teachers and 11 students and observing the online learning process conducted through various applications. The results of the study showed a weakening of the intersubjective relationship between teachers and students. Distance meetings have turned into mere formalities and emptiness. The closeness and warmth between teachers and students are diminishing and filled with emptiness. The interactions that exist are filled with deceit and fraud. In online learning, teachers and students negotiate and compromise on the learning to be conducted amidst all the limitations of distance learning. The consequence is widespread pragmatism towards technology, with students feeling lonely and isolated, and academic dishonesty increasing. In the end, there is a restriction of relationships and a tendency to prioritize mechanisms of silence as a compromise for the loss of true reality in the teacher-student relationship.

Technological developments provide benefits for the society in receiving information and entertainment. This has resulted many innovations made by the communication media industry players, one of which is NET. TV by conducting media convergence. Media convergence is a consequence caused by technological developments, which then affects competition in the media industry. Media convergence is gaining momentum in the communications industry, where digital technology is being used more than conventional one. Under the auspices of PT Net Visi Media, NET. TV has now looked at YouTube and over-the-top digital platforms. By looking at the transitions, this research was conducted with a critical paradigm by mapping the problems that occur related to vertical power relations, based on political economy theory of communication media by Vincent Mosco. Interview with NET. TV production team became the primary data, which was then analyzed descriptively. According to the characteristics coined by Vincent Mosco as an analytical tool, the result is NET. TV performs absolute and relative labor commodification during media convergence. Where the Tonight Show Premiere and Match Island production teams are required to be multitasking and work overtime without being paid.

Although it is difficult for the press to move away from many interests, the breath of news should continue to be on a footing of truth and humanity. This breath can guarantee an upright democracy, as one of the functions of the press is the fourth pillar of democracy. However, if the press continues to be in the shadow of certain political parties and candidates, this will alarm the growth and development of a dignified life. The press, which should be a torch of civilization, has instead become a mouthpiece for specific political forces. The power of the press should be for the benefit of life, not just to satisfy the thirst for power seekers.

There was a global pandemic with the emergence of the Covid-19 virus from 2019 until 2022. The pandemic affected all aspects of life, including the press/media world. Media crews had been facing tough challenges during the midst of a pandemic situation. Journalists were required to do work in the field to produce quality content. The business division was required to continue to generate revenue for the company in order to produce quality journalistic works. On the other hand, they had to protect themselves from contracting the plague while carrying out their duties with all the challenges and risks. Since the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, local media revenue has continued to fall. Newspaper sales dwindled, advertising sales slumped, events could not run. While operational costs were not reduced but instead increased. Local media also had to struggle with their own strategies to survive. Mastery of information technology to strengthen collaboration between the editorial department and the marketing department was the key to succeed

The demographic dividen can provide benefits for Indonesia. The proportion of the working age population in Indonesia until 2021 is reaching 205.36 million, which is 68.08% of the workforce. The labor force participation is 93.74%, with the informal sector as much as 59.6%, and the number of unemployed reaches 6.26%. The labourforce structure profile is a challenge for the Indonesian government to encourage the population to participate to industry. The developing of Labour Market Information System (LMIS) is one of the goverment to gather job seekers and employers with the final objective is to reduce unemployment. This study aims to evaluate and analyze the LMIS that has been developed by the Government of Indonesia and to formulate an LMIS development strategy to meets international standards. This study uses qualitative analysis methods. Sampling using purposive sampling technique by taking samples of several provinces that are categorized as densely industrialized and have a high unemployment rate. LMIS owned by Indonesia is still classified as basic level to middle class. Based on the problems that occur in LMIS development and the low level of utilization, the LMIS development method must be based on and pay attention to the needs of stakeholders.

HIjrah is not only limited on human relation with God, but also how hijrah discourse existence is delivered in the media as discourse battle arena. Niqab is a characteristic of a woman going through hijrah. By using multimodality of Gunther Kress and Theo van Leuween, this critical discourse digs deeper on phenomena of woman in niqab and contestation of piety show-off in the media. Based on analysis performed on four accounts of woman with niqab in Instagram, narration found that the most massive show-off action of piety are performed by niqabis, that is in the act of religious activities, such as reading Al-Qur'an, praying, suggestion on sadaqa and five-times prayer. Moreover, piety representation is also performed by using quotes in Arabian language and Arabian woman figure as illustration to legitimate the hijrah journey of a woman in niqab. Piety, not only it displays woman in covering clothes, but also intersection with popular culture. It’s existence is put together with the incidentally profane Korean wave love romance This phenomena shows a paradox where there is incorporation of religious sacredness with the often considered profane Korean wave.

Data journalism is a new genre in journalism that utilizes data visualization to engage the audience in news reporting. This engagement also provides certainty and minimizes the spread of misinformation regarding the COVID-19 vaccination policy in Indonesia. This study aims to explain how data journalism-based media, which is Katadata.co.id, communicates their news and embodies audience engagement through data visualization. The type of research is content analysis with quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. In quantitative data collection, 49 news titles were searched, which were the results of keyword discovery in January-March 2021 in the “Data Journalism” rubric of Katadata.co.id. The data were coded according to indicators from a multimodal perspective in the concept of ergodic work, which are static information graphs, non-interactive dynamic data visualizations, and interactive dynamic data visualizations. Furthermore, in the qualitative step, the data was analyzed in-depth to explore how Katadata.co.id communicated news about COVID-19 vaccination with the showing and telling models. As a result, the COVID-19 vaccination news on Katadata.co.id also involved the audience in communicating it. In reporting the news, Katadata.co.id uses narrative techniques, which is the instance of narrators technique to characterize the narrative through the presence of news writers, the sequentiality technique to show the movement from one event to another by sliding the pages, the temporal dimension technique to describe the changes over the time with the help of dynamic elements, and tellability techniques to describe the worth-presenting COVID-19 vaccination news.

Organizational communication management determines the effectiveness of an educational institution. Good communication in educational organizations will make a school more effective. Conversely, without good organizational communication management, miscommunication often occurs. This article aims to analyze and describe organizational communication management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Yogyakarta as one of the leading schools in the city of Yogyakarta. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that for superior schools, communication within the organization is vital in school management. As a top school, the management of MAN 1 Yogyakarta carries out various ways to improve achievement through organizational communication management. One of them is by creating a healthy flow of information for all components of the school. Leaders also innovate in the form of a special team that acts as a communication "bridge" that specifically handles and improves school performance. MAN 1 devotes all efforts to continuously improve school performance. This is because MAN 1 management assesses that achievement is a very important indicator of the quality and effectiveness of an educational institution.

Currently, Corona is a hot topic of discussion. Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2), better known as the coronavirus, is a new type of coronavirus that causes infectious diseases in humans. The online learning system (on the network) is the answer for universities to continue to carry out academic activities. Online learning is a learning system without face-to-face directly between lecturers and students but is done virtually. Lecturers must ensure that teaching and learning activities continue while students are at home. The solution is that lecturers must be able to design learning activities as innovations by utilizing online media to continue running effectively. Communication between students and lecturers through video conferencing raises several problems: the low creativity of students, the difficulty of achieving communication effectiveness, and generating demotivation and disembodied behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of (1) effectiveness of virtual lecturer communication based on student perspectives, (2) student demotivation, (3) student disembodied behavior, and (4) student creativity. This research uses a descriptive method. The sampling method used is incidental sampling, where the subjects studied are lecturers and students willing to participate in filling out research questionnaires. The number of lecturers in this study was 91 people from 25 universities in the city of Bandung, with a total of 100 courses, so a sample size of 200 sampling units was obtained, where the sampling unit was lecturer-subjects.
