The waste problem can be seen from the significant increase in the volume of waste every year, poor waste management and the low public hygiene habit in big cities, including Jakarta. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Jakarta's waste management policies according to Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2019. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to obtain comprehensive information about the implementation of existing regional regulations. The results show that the implementation of Jakarta's waste management policies has not been implemented well. There are several obstacles such as a large budget but not used optimally, a lack of coordination between the government and private sector to build Intermediate Treatment Facilities (ITF) because there is a regional politic factor. Several programs such as a waste bank, 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle), and “Sampah Tanggung Jawab Bersama (Samtawa) are expected to be able to overcome the waste problem in Jakarta. These programs need to be delivered through socialization to urban villages, schools, and PKK (Program Keluarga Sejahtera).

The peat protection policy has been in place for more than two decades, but fires are still recurring in peatlands. This study examines the peat ecosystem protection policy in Indonesia, before and after 2015. The qualitative research method relies on historical policy data and empirical data. The results show that before 2015 the use of peat was oriented towards economic growth, and after 2015 the policy orientation was towards sustainable use of peat. There has been a shift in the working paradigm of forest and land fire control from extinguishing to prevention. In addition to corrective policy measures, corrective actions have also taken place to protect peat ecosystems in the field (corrective action).

Mandar River is an important cultural entity for the Mandar community in West Sulawesi, in fact, faces threats such as floods and landslides. To support the government's efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the management of Mandar Watershed needs to integrate the ecological, economic, social, institutional, and technological dimensions. This study aims to: (1) measure the status of the sustainability of the Mandar Watershed; and (2) identify the factors that influence the sustainability of the Mandar watershed management. This research used the method of observation, interviews, documentation study, and literature review. Data analysis used a descriptive analysis approach and Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) analysis with analysis tools suc as rapfish / rapDASMandar. The results showed that the sustainability status of watershed management in the ecological dimension was quite sustainable; on the social and institutional dimensions, it is categorized as less sustainable; and in the economic and technological dimensions, the upstream and middle Mandar sub-watersheds are categorized as less sustainable. The multidimensional sustainability status of Mandar watershed management is categorized as less sustainable. There are 13 factors that need attention to improve the sustainability status of Mandar watershed management, especially in the technological, institutional, and social dimensions.

Indonesia doesn’t clearly regulate, adheres to an integrated environmental licensing system or not. This research focuses on three problems, namely examining in depth the concept of integrated permits and their urgency and analyzing integrated environmental permits before and after UUCK. This study aims to examine in depth the concept of an integrated environmental permit which then becomes a benchmark in analyzing environmental permits adopted by Indonesian law before and after the enactment of the UUCK. This type of research is normative legal research with a statutory approach, a historical approach, and a conceptual approach. This research material is sourced from primary legal materials and secondary legal materials, with data collection techniques using library methods which are then analyzed using descriptive and deductive-inductive methods. The results showed that in the implementation before the enactment of the UUCK, namely the regime of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (UUPPLH), there were already several permits that were integrated with environmental permits. Meanwhile, after the enactment of UUCK, UUCK replaced environmental permits with environmental approvals. This change has the potential to sacrifice environmental sustainability and has the consequence of eliminating the integration of environmental permits with other permits previously applicable in UUPPLH.

Pine resin is one of the demanded products to have proceeded into gondorukem. Gondorukem from Indonesia has a competitive advantage compared to other countries because it is stickier, heat resistant, and has a distinctive aroma so its exports are attractive to other countries. Ensuring the quality and quantity of gondorukem requires a smooth pine resin supply chain. This study aims to determine risk events and risk agents in the supply chain of pine resin that inhibit production, and design strategies to reduce the chance of emerging risks. House of Risk (HOR) is used to determine and apply the priority of risk agents and preventive actions. The study identified a total of 15 risk events and 30 risk agents that affect the quality and quantity of pine resin. Eighteen risk agents are prioritized, three of which are weather conditions, tapping personnel, and tree conditions for designing preventive actions. There are 3 priority preventive actions to handle the risk agent, namely (i) improving and controlling the quality of pine resin from the beginning process, (ii) giving a performance-based incentive and special tariff for a local tapper, and (iii) applying a resin tapping system with biogemme program.

National Park Management is faced with conflicts of interest in conservation and community economics. A partnership is one of the answers to this problem. The study was conducted in the buffer area of Ujung Kulon National Park involving 17 respondents who were selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that the communities involved in the partnership gained legal access to harvest wild honey in forest areas, as well as ease of market access and decent prices. The partnership pattern builds awareness of farmer groups to maintain forest sustainability. They realize that if the forest is maintained, it will increase the wild honey harvest and their income.
