This study aimed to analyse the students’ reading ability and to analyse the effectiveness of Arabic game in improving reading ability among the students of Arabic Language Education Department FBS UNM. It employed quasi-experimental method with pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. The results of SPSS analysis showed that the use of Arabic game media was not effective in learning Arabic reading skills. This was evidenced by he sig value (2 tailed) of both class A and B post-test were 0.50, the sig value. = 0.05. So H0 was accepted and there was no significant difference between post-test of both experiment and control class. But this finding proves that the reading ability of the control class students was very good. Whereas in the experimental class, Arabic Reading ability was not good before treatment yet after treatment, the difference in the value of the pre-test and post-test was very significant.

This study aimed to discuss the names of judgment day in the Qur'an through cognitive semantic approach and the values of spiritual education. Through the cognitive semantic approach, the conception of meaning to describe the judgment day in the Qur’an was formulated by mapping the meaning resulted from the source domain (Sd) to target domain (Sd). To show and compare references in (Sd) to (Td), referential technique was used. From organizing (Sd) to (Td) on metaphorical expressions which showed the judgment day in the Qur'an, the conceptions of the meaning of state, time, movement, and change were generated. The studies on the names of judgment day in the Qur'an influence the value of moral education, which is able to increase faith in God, observe nature and its big symptoms, create good character between God and man, and believe in God’s noble character.

This study aimed to: 1) describe the conditions of Arabic learning in the State Islamic university of North Sumatra (UIN SU) Medan; 2) develop the Arabic language learning model based on constructivism theory; and 3) know the level of validation of the Arabic language learning model based on constructivism theory. This research applied Research and Development (R & D) method with Four Ds model consisting of: define, design, development and dissemination. The results showed (1) the Arabic learning at UIN SU Medan needed much improvement because 48.32% of Arabic language lecturers still used a learning approach not encouraging students to learn actively, collaboratively, and confidently. In other words, the learning process was still teacher-centered. (2) The product (Arabic Language Learning Model) produced was an Arabic learning tool characterized by constructivism, which includes: Syllabus, RPS and Assessment. (3) Constructivism learning and Arabic learning experts assessed the products with an average value of 3.37 (very good).

The Arabic language that Malay learns as a second language belongs to a language group other than that of the Malay language, which is the mother tongue of the Arabic language learners in the Malay archipelago. It is well known that the Linguistic Library was filled with many studies comparing the two languages at the linguistic level, and no study compares them to the cultural level. Therefore, this pioneering study was concerned with a comparison between the two cultural languages. The study adopted a descriptive analytical approach; comparing the Malay and Arabic cultures and describing the differences between them in this field. The method of interviewing Malay students who represented the archipelago region and Arab Arabic teachers was also used to identify the most important problems arising from the different cultures that confront the two parties in Arabic teaching. The findings show that the Malay culture was greatly influenced by the Arab-Islamic culture. But there are differences between cultural manifestation in Arabic and Malay languages that, in turn, give some problems in Arabic teaching and learning in the Malay Archipelago.

This study aimed to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in learning Arabic in traditional and modern Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Lebak Regency, Banten. This was a qualitative research. The researcher directly reviewed the curriculum and learning documentsand observed learning Arabic at both pesantrens. The ongoing learning was studied, understood, described, analyzed, and criticized. The results showed that the education system of modern pesantren was more open to study contemporary books in addition to classical books with the main target of being fluent in Arabic (maharah al-kalam). One of the distinctive characteristics of modern pesantren is that the languages spoken by all elements of this institution are Arabic and English as an attempt to meet the challenges in the era of globalization.

This article aimed to discuss the theory of mudzakkar and muannats in Arabic. The classification of mudzakkar and muannats is found in most languages, not only in the Smith-Hmit languages family, but also in the Indo-European languages with varying quality and quantity. This linguistic phenomenon is very powerful and is one of the characteristics of the Arabic language. The most popular theory of word grouping into mudzakkar (male) and muannats (females) is a theory seeing a connection and relationship between the word (lafaz) and the meaning (ma’na). In the historical perspective of ancient society, it is also associated with the myths of public belief based on the nature of the world in general consists of mudzakkar and muannats. These theory - in another perspective - especially the ancient society has the power of argument and reason, but in the perspective of modern society has a deadlock of argument and loses its relevance.

This article discusses a fully-named scientist Abu 'Imran Musa ibn Maimun ibn Abdullah al-Yahudi al-Isra>i>li> al-Qurthubi al-Andalusi> (known as Mûsâ ibn Maimûn or Moses Maimonides). During his lifetime, he runs various professions, such as rabbis, scientists, and doctors, as indeed have randomness in those fields. However, in this article, the author only focused on the discussion of his figure as a scientist and the works he created. The results of the study showed that Ibn Maimûn’s works contain a thick Arab-Islamic influence. One proof is the use of Arabic language, not Hebrew, in most of his work. That’s what makes him categorized as Muslim clerics. His works were incorporated into the Arab-Jewish literary treasures. The results also showed the occurrence of a Jewish-Islamic peace dialogue, high tolerance, and influencing conditions in the field of scholarship. That is what makes it possible to inherit intellectual extraordinarily rich works.
这篇文章讨论了一位全名为Abu 'Imran Musa ibn Maimun ibn Abdullah al-Yahudi al- israel >i>li> al-Qurthubi al-Andalusi>(被称为m sibn maim或Moses Maimonides)的科学家。
