In the traditional design process of auto panels, the structure and functions of the panel are concerned more by designers, but the manufacturability is paid little attention to. Therefore, some problems appear during the manufacturing process. In this paper, a new approach, design for manufacturability using polychromatic sets, is introduced to evaluate the manufacturability of auto panels. And the systemic framework is established. Detailed explanations are given through an auto panel example. The evaluation process is described using polychromatic Sets.

With the accelerating of economic globalization, the effect of foreign factors on Chinese tangerines export is more and more obvious, which is mainly expressed as the fluctuation of Chinese tangerines export price. The article uses SVAR, impulse response analysis and variance decomposition to analyze the interaction between Chinese export price and world import price of tangerines from 1961 to 2007. The research shows that: (1) periodicities of the two prices are obvious; (2) fluctuation frequency of Chinese export price is high and its fluctuation range is low, while that of world import price is just the opposite; (3) changes of Chinese export price are mainly affected by its own fluctuation, while world import price is not only affected by its own fluctuation but also shocked by Chinese export price; (4) fluctuation characteristics of two prices indicate that there is serious price distortion in world tangerines market, so it requires carrying on multilateral negotiation under WTO agreement to eliminate trade barriers in tangerines market and to improve the world welfare.

This paper presents a method of multi-sensor data fusion based on neuron network and reasoning (Dempster-Shafer evidence reasoning). The method can use D-S’s Evidence to deal with the inaccuracy and fuzzy information. And also it can give full play to self-study of neural net, self-adapting and fault tolerant ability. In this way it has doughty robustness to uncertain information and improve the system identification rate. Then the D-S evidence is used to fuse the results derived from the neural network at different time. The result of computer simulation showsthe method is effective and correct.

In CITIS (Contractor Integrated Technical Information Service) collaborative manufacturing project, how the prime contractor reasonably chooses cooperativeenterprises and assigns tasks among them will directly effects on gaining benefit from the project. To solve this problem, in this paper, a new heuristic optimization algorithm is proposed for tasks assignment, which objectives are minimizing costs and reducing the number of enterprises selected based on theminimization of project time. Finally, the algorithm is varied through an example, and the evaluation for it is given.

Image-guided intervention and needle steering for radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the liver is reviewed in this paper. In particular, the concept of active needle is proposed for RFA treatment. Methods and techniques of image processing and modeling are presented for a stereo liver model. The liver model and constituent components extracted from computerized tomography (CT) images can be used to plan the navigation paths of the RFA needle. The system also provides an option for active needles, which are more amenable to those refractory cases of RFA treatment.

In this paper according to the analysis of the manufacturability of aeroengine blade, the manufacturability evaluation is considered a multi-level decision problem, and manufacturability qualitative evaluation method based on production rule and manufacturability quantitative evaluation method based on AHP comprehensive evaluation are established. Due to the complexity of the latter method, the detailed solving steps of the process are present and an example is taken for explanation. Using above research methods, product design can be guided according to feedback information by evaluating the part manufacturability.

In this paper, a proposition about the relationship between path curve and cart motion is proposed and proved. Based on the proposition, the cubic polynomial is provided as a transition path. This is convenient for designing the trajectory and uniqueness for determining parameters of the path curves by the allowable minimal turn radius of cart. Experimental results, performed on the prototype cart, show that the cart tracks given paths with the cubic polynomial as a transition smoothly and accurately.

This paper describes the principle, control method of working attitude of ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle). While the manipulator is reaching out under the water, the change of the center of the gravity will cause the robot pitching. It will take more time to make a maneuver for a pitched robot. A control device was developed to balance the attitude of the robot. A sliding mode controller was designed to control the balance device, with which the disturbance and uncertainties were approached by a fuzzy system. The experiments were carried. The test results were obtained for the control of pitch change of the robot caused by the manipulators and detecting pan/tilt. The availability of the balance device including its control strategy was proved.

Most existing patch-based denoising methods are based on fixed size patch and fixed range of neighborhood, while producing state-of-the-art denoising results, the quality of the algorithm is significantly dependent on patch size. Suppose that patch size is related to image pattern, a structural adaption method for the selection of patch size is proposed in this paper. Due to the mutual similaritybetween the training samples, the simulation results illustrate the original approach can be effectively improved by adopted this method.
