With the decrease of nature forest in all over the world, plantation and improving wood utilization becomes important. The study on forecast of wood properties can provide a scientific basis for intensive farming of plantation and targeted utilization of wood resource. The purpose of this paper is to establish a forecast model of wood properties and to evaluate wood qualities comprehensively. Tracheid aspect ratio was selected as analytical data. The feasibility of wood properties forecasting model was established by the methods of linear regression, time series, and neural network and its forecasting precision were compared and proof-tested. Results indicated that the forecasting model established by neural network method was the best, with the smallest error and best precision.

The theories of phase space reconstruction and Support Vector Machines (SVM) are introduced firstly. A novel time series forecasting model based on wavelet and SVM is proposed. It first performances multi-scaled decomposition on complex time series using discrete wavelet transformation. Then the reconstructed approximate series and detail series are forecasted respectively using SVM. Finally, the outcomes are coalesce together. The forecasting model is constructed and applied to the stock index data. Experimental results indicate that the proposed forecasting model has superiority over simple SVM and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for it has lower forecast error.

while customers are becoming more and more personalization, it has practical meaning to develop an intelligent marketing system with the function of automatic interaction. In this paper, after analyzing the purchase decision process of customers, the primary interaction process between enterprise and customers in marketing are generalized and some special marketing function are encapsulated as the agent, thus marketing is regard as the cooperation process of various agents cooperating focus on demands. Based on that, a multi-agent based marketing cooperation system (MAMCS) is established and the agent ontology is designed according to JADE, finally the negotiation mechanism is built.

The system on a programmable chip (SoPC) based on FPGA has some special characteristics, such as flexibility, customization, programmable hardware and software. The design of user intellectual property (IP) core is an important task in the design of SoPC. This paper presents the design of image data compression IP core based on the standard of processor local bus (PLB). The IP core is based on CCSDS image data compression (IDC) standard which includes discrete wavelet transform module and bit plane encoder module. Furthermore, the interface between PLB and IDC IP core is also designed. The design program of each module is using the language of VHDL, simulated by the software modelsim, and realized by the software EDK. The IP core designed in the SoPC system greatly speeds the encoding and makes the design easier and stronger in expansibility.

Effective disaster response planning covers three activities: (1) development of a realistic damage simulation model, (2) a method to rapidly assess actual damage, and (3) models to allocate limited rescue resources to damaged areas in an optimal way. The emergency resources deployment is a hardcore of emergency management. After the happening of the public emergency, it is important to study how to deliver the emergency resources to scene quickly. Consequently, this article studies the dynamic optimal process of emergency resources deployment planning, making use of Markov decision processes, and wants to discover the optimal deployment planning to guarantee the timeliness. The results of the cases analysis prove that the dynamic optimal method of emergency resources deployment planning, based on Markov decision processes, is available. And we can make important decision about the emergency resources deployment by this method in the future.

A lot of economic data is operated in the basic statistic department. In this paper, we build a statistic data warehouse based on snowflake schema for the local authority. Using the technology of On-line analysis processing, we extract the integrated statistical information from the economic operating data of the basic statistic department. We integrate the data of statistical indicators to form a digital, informational and service platform for the statistical agency. Moreover, we present the results of the analysis with a variety of forms to the decision makers and provide quantitative basis of statistical analysis for the local authority.

Most recent schema matching systems combine multiple components, each of which employs a particular matching technique with several knobs. The multi-component nature has brought tuning problems for domain users. In this paper, we present GATuner, an approach to automatically tune schema matching systems using genetic algorithms. We match a given schema S against generated scenarios, for which the ground truth matches are known, and find a configuration that effectively improves the performance of matching S against real schemas. To search the huge space of configuration candidates efficiently, we adopt genetic algorithms during the tuning process. Experiments over four real-world domains with two main matching systems demonstrate that our approach provides more qualified matches over different domains.

More and more vendors think of blending XML data management into traditional relational database, with the increasingly widespread use of XML. This requires a comprehensive evaluation methodology to evaluate the XML engine on a RDBMS correctly. Through analyzing XML engine on RDBMS from various aspects, the article gets a conclusion that the evaluation on it should be from several major aspects such as storage, query and update. Also, the researcher designs a complete evaluation framework who covers all the provisions of XQuery W3C standard.

In traditional e-commerce websites, social tags are used in product classification only, and not applied in the domain of personalized recommendation technology. In this paper, we propose a personalized recommendation model based on social tags. We build a user interest model for products by reflecting user interest and product features directly through social tags, and optimize the interest model by social tags clustering. We design a personalized recommendation algorithm based on this model in order to find out the high user interest degree products, which can provide personalized recommendation service for users. The experiment results show that the personalized recommendation model based on social tags can effectively improve the accuracy of product recommendation.
