Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) is a form of modulation which is generally used for modulating data signals onto a carrier used for digital communications. QAM, is probably preferred for advance communication as it holds higher data rate compared to traditional modulation scheme. This paper suggested a novel approach of digital communication using 256QAM modulation technique and raised cosine filter. Also, comparative analysis of the proposed model with state-of-art is reported in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) and Symbol Error Rate (SER).

Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) finds application in various engineering domains such as communication systems, image and speech processing, biomedical signal and seismic signal processing etc. A computationally efficient algorithm for computing DFT was given by Cooley-Tukey, thereby reducing the time complexity of DFT calculation from O(N2) to O(NlogN). In this paper, we present an algorithm to compute DFT of specific binary pulse sequences. Here, we demonstrate that for these specific pulse sequences, the complexity of DFT computation is O(N).

Facial Expression Recognition is known for its efficiency and its stimulating job in this automated world. Facial Expressions are the easiest way for human being to express their feelings. Facial expression plays a major role in communicating non-verbally. This paper summarizes the Facial Expression Recognition (FER) techniques based on deep learning. FER technique’s performance is compared based on the amount of expressions recognized and the difficulty of algorithms in CNN. FER 2013 database is been used here. Recently, the CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) has gained the reputation within the field of deep learning owing to their effective design and also the ability to produce smart results without manual feature extraction from the raw information. This paper investigates the effectiveness of CNN with Radial Basis Function for expression recognition. The experimental results shows that the proposed method provide relatively better accuracy for FER 2013 dataset.

Typically, visually impaired community facing difficulties in reading and cannot able to analyze the traffic rules as be fond of a common person. They are using the tradititonal technique i.e. Braille script for reading purpose which is an easy technique for them to study and to understand. In the year 2018 A survey taken by CAGR which announced that the people around 3.9 crore have 90% percent vision loss and people who are facing moderate and complete vision loss problem is around 21.7 crore people. Nearly 25.3 crore people have completely lost their vision. Around, 110 crore people with near vision loss. The popularity of blind people had gradually decreased.Nearly 89% blind people lived in less and moderate economical countries and among that, 55% of vision loss were woman.Because of various difficulties faced by blind community, numerous hospitals were opened by their government for treating and curing them. Around 1,58,000 health care sectors for visually impaired will raise to more than 90% i.e. 3,25,000 by the year 2040. frequently many softwares and equipments has been industrialized and commercialized for reading but, these softwares and equipments need of a network and backup support. They are unsuccessful in usage. In legalize to overcome the hardships faced by the visually challenged, our group has developed a equipment for them to analyze the traffic rules and perform their activities as a typical person.

Giving blind people with great accessibility to their environment is of great demand. People with visual impairments experience a lot of problem in using the modern assistive device that limits their daily basic activities. The level of assistance provided of these special aids does not meet the consumer requirements and not affordable by the every section of the society. To overcome the some of the limitations of the existing visual aids, in this paper we present the work that helps the visually impaired person with smart glasses to identify the medicine. The name of the medicine can be read by the smart glass system that provides audio signal through the ear phones. The smart glass system reads the medicine name using Convolutional neural network

Recent growth in technology has proven the power of cloud computing. The majority of applications are associated with the cloud to execute their instances remotely due to various reasons. With demand in the execution of these instances with low latency, efficient cloud scheduling algorithms get more attention and need for better resource scheduling algorithms. At the same time when instances are executed on remote servers, the security of these instances data is high in priority. In other words, consumers lose their control on instance data when hosted and executed on remote machines. Though the traditional methods provide privacy using encryption technology, these methods do not provide guaranty for the attacks raised within the server. To address this problem, we have designed the Network Attentive Payload Allocation [NAPA] algorithm to split the instance (payload) into multiple sub payloads and execute on multiple servers parallelly. Then we have scheduled these instances to execute parallelly on three different locations, few on local machine, cloud server and fog server to sure the instance data and execute effectively. Using efficient hash function the distribution of instances are done. Through the theoretical analysis and simulation, we have validated our methods and found the proposed methods are fairly protecting the instance data.

Human population is being affected immensely day by day by different epidemic diseases. The West Nile virus outbreaks are epidemic in mainly suburban and urban areas. This paper is a study on various models that can be used to predict the occurrence of an epidemic disease caused by the West Nile Virus (WNV). It is also possible to separate an individual into different compartments like Susceptible and Infectious depending upon the state of infection spread. This paper also discusses different compartmental models that can be used to determine spreading of the West Nile virus. This can be an aid to the health care systems to prevent such deadly viruses to an extent.

The growing need for innovation in software products and an increase in their complexity has demanded an evolution in the software industry in recent years. Domain Analysis assists software developers in understanding the domains leading to significant improvement in their software development. Domain Analysis can be easily carried out using Feature Modelling by identifying the commonalities and variations among attributes of the domain. On the other hand, Home Automation is a developing domain and is now seeing an increase in the number and complexity of products. The heterogeneity of the home automation system elements introduced a lot of complexity to the developers. The commonly observable features and variations arising from HA systems allow us to visualize Home Automation (HA) systems as a Software Product Line (SPL). In this paper, we aim to adopt the Feature Modelling technique for Domain Analysis of the HA system. The efficacy and validity of this approach is evaluated with the help of proof of concepts.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) evaluation is performed by signal processing in majority of the systems. Accurate QRS (r-peak) detection is a vital step for analyzing variations in heart rate. Algorithms based on the differentiated ECG signals can be computed efficiently and are useful for real-time analysis. The data from the MIT database consists of time-domain data of the electric potentials from the heart. In this work the data is processed and analyzed to detect and diagnose cardiac problems. ECG wave is used to detect and diagnose abnormalities in blood pressure, blood cholesterol and blood sugar. Variations in ECG is used in stress analysis and emotional activity. This modified Pan- Tompkins algorithm used in our work achieved a sensitivity of 94.54%.

In the era of smart technology Internet of things interconnect real world sensors to the internet. Today’s cold storages are far more than just a facility to store inventory. In this paper we propose a “smart cold storage” by leveraging the latest supply chain technology and the IOT, which will serve as a hub to improve the efficiency and speedup the process throughout the entire supply chain. This proto type incorporates an IOT based smart cold storage that interacts with the items stored within, collects the information about them and process this information into relevant data. The objects placed inside the smart cold storage will be detected and identified using a web camera. Load cell with HX711 IC driver is used to calculate the Weight of the objects. Raspberry Pi-3 B+ collects data from the ARDUINO and analyze the data using python programming and transmit the stock information to the users through mobile application. It gives an alert to the users to place an order if the weight falls below the threshold value, i.e If there is any shortage or out of stock of the objects. LM35 IC Temperature sensor is used to monitor the Temperature of the storage system. This proto type will reduce the use of manual labour increasing speed and shipping accuracy, and offer retailers an opportunity to obtain unparalleled visibility into inventory and supply chains.
