This paper investigates a capacitated lane reservation problem in a transportation network. The problem is to decide the task paths and select lanes to be reserved in a capacitated network to ensure that each commodity can be transported from its source to destination within a given travel time, meanwhile the lane's capacity is not violated. Its objective is to minimize the total impact of all reserved lanes on other normal lanes. To solve this problem, two integer linear programming models are formulated. The complexity of the problem is proved to be NP-hard. Then an algorithm based on a cut-and-solve idea is proposed to obtain optimal solutions. To evaluate the performance of our proposed algorithm, numerical experiments of randomly generated instances are conducted. Computational results show our algorithm significantly outperforms a well-known optimization software package CPLEX.

The proposed framework integrates Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) system with a well-known multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique, namely Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), to enhance the accuracy and speed in case matching in personalized itinerary search process. The integration of two techniques enables taking advantages of their strengths and complements each other's weaknesses. An application is performed to demonstrate how this approach can facilitate intelligent decision support by retrieving the best itinerary that satisfies the most the user preferences.

We treat a practical application of packing problem in supply chain management. This study was motivated by a real situation encountered in the storage problem of a foam industry in Tunisia. The storage problem consists in allocating, without overlapping, a given set of rectangular items (mattresses) to the minimum number of three dimensional bins with the different bins (rack) dimensions as input variables. Storage problem is a variable - sized bin packing problem that consists in finding an arrangement of set of items that cannot be rotated into the minimum number of variables bins. We develop a new heuristic method and we propose an integer programming model for the storage problem. The algorithm was applied in the case of unlimited number of bins. Numerical results on real-life test instances are reported.

Logistics outsourcing is becoming a common phenomenon nowadays. In other words, an industrial or commercial company is to delegate all or part of its logistic activities to a Logistic Service Provider. It is considered an important factor for competitiveness, flexibility and better responsiveness to fulfill the needs of new economic challenges. This strategy has been growing steadily over the past ten years for both industrial and tertiary activities. Although many reasons are behind this movement, it seems interesting to problematize the lack or even the absence of research on logistics outsourcing in the Moroccan context. Given this criterion, a part of this research will be dedicated to determine the strategic tool on which the managers are going to tap into to make a good decision of outsourcing.

We are interested in models for vehicular traffic flow and their extensions to supply chain. In this paper, we propose the universal graphic language Bond Graph (BG) to describe the dynamic behavior of physical flow on supply chain using the same analogy and the same duality of the traffic flow field. The BG language contributes enormously to clarify the analysis of the several phenomena that occur in supply chain through its graphic vision, its systematic formulation of the analytical models and its universal spirit for all engineering's fields. Adoption of such a universal modelling language in the supply chain represents an asset in the search for a good solution to the great complexity of this chain due mainly to mutual interaction of multi-natural phenomena which are subject to numerous constraints and requirements.

The relationship between economic growth and development of freight transport demand generates generally an increase in energy consumption. Measures are implemented to improve the energy efficiency of freight transport. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of Tunisian policies proposed through the decomposition technique of the intensity of road freight transport.

The objective of this paper is to present the numerical method that generate numerically the graph of states and the graph of state classes for Time Petri nets, based on the matrix that describes Petri nets and based on computing power of machines. The results can be used to search for a desired or not desired state by giving realizable firing schedules.

since 1985, contracts program have been elaborated between Tunisian public authority and public transport monopolies in order to introducing more competition without arraignment contribution of regulation. However, chronic budget deficit of Tunisian public transport industry continues to increase. The objective of this paper is to evaluating the relationship between public transport regulation and cost-efficiency of operators. So, it proposes: first, test of relevant structure of public transport industry, second, evaluation of contribution of regulation in efficiency of operators. To this end, we estimate, firstly, density and size economies of operators in the objective to verify the pertinence of actual monopolistic structure. Secondly, we estimate distortions between regulated and unregulated labour prices and we integrate them in regulated cost frontier to measure real cost-inefficiencies of operators. Our main conclusion is that monopolistic configuration must be retained and the labour price is regulated at a higher level which explains increasing of operating costs and contributes in inefficiency of operators.

With the rapid development of technology and the evolution of multimedia application, the design of a system on chip becomes more and more complex. Indeed, the application must answer contradictory constrains. And integrate new functionalities that require high performance architectures. In this paper we propose a new method for hardware/ software implementation on reconfigurable multimedia system on chip. First, we present two methods for HW/SW partitioning of the application. The first one uses the profiling and the second one uses the design trotter tools. Next we implement this application in the reconfigurable platform. The target architecture is a virtex5 board. The validation of our approach is made through 3D image synthesis. Finally we illustrate the experimental results.

After a presentation of the domain of conceptual modeling of the enterprise and the famous methods used, we present a panorama of methods and tools particularly for the functional and the decisional modeling. Some techniques present hiatuses and they are not precisely coherent or complementary for modeling the functional and decisional system of the enterprise. The objective of this paper is to show the relevance of the methods of conceptual modeling particularly for the methods SADT (Structured Analysis Design Technique), GRAI (Graph with Results and Actions Interrelated) and GIM (GRAI Integrated Methodology) in order to offer a complete and a combined modeling of an enterprise.
