Erken Çocukluk Eğitimi Kurumlarının Dış Mekanları Üzerine Bir Derleme: Tasarım ve Değerlendirme

The significance of play in early childhood is widely acknowledged depending on many empirical kinds of research. However, the play has been perceived as an activity that only occurs indoors till last years. That is the reason why all the arrangements and criteria for play supportive environments were presented for indoor learning environments. As a natural result of this case, the studies investigating outdoor environments and outdoor play presented many dramatic results. To illustrate, the studies put forward that outdoor environments became play environments that include fixed play equipment supporting only psychomotor development and lacking loose parts which allow children to use them creatively depending on their needs and interests. Thus, outdoor environments should be designed in a way that enable children to play different types of play including constructive and dramatic play, games with rules, associative and cooperative play. Yet, as much as the design of the outdoor environment, it is important to determine the factors, which decrease or increase the effectiveness of the design of the outdoor environment, and to make essential arrangements about them. That is the reason why, under the head of current knowledge, this study aimed to synthesize the conducted studies about outdoor play and the outdoor environment. Depending on this synthesize, several major principles were presented for both designers of outdoor environments, researchers and practitioners in the field of early childhood education.

Anababaların Çocuklarıyla İlgili Sosyal Medya Paylaşımları

Social media is increasingly emerging as environments where more and more people are involved. The limited knowledge of parents’ sharing about their children on social media (sharenting), which is a new concept in the world and in Turkey, has been compiled in this study. In the study, the information, photos, or videos of the children shared by parents on social media and the possible reasons for these shares are discussed in a way that includes the phenomenon of reflecting feelings, thoughts and behaviors towards others. Based on the examples in which sharenting starts before the birth of the child, it was emphasized what parents should be careful of while sharing and the responsibilities they should fulfill in terms of sharing. In addition, concepts such as digital footprint and digital abduction were explained, and the drawbacks of the issue in terms of both developmental and children's rights for children and adolescents were discussed. Finally, suggestions were presented on what can be done to raise parents’ awareness towards possible dangers while sharing their children on social media.

Beden Eğitimi Öğretmenlerinin Eğitimde Mizahın Kullanımına Yönelik Tutumları

In this research, it was aimed to determine the attitudes of Physical Education Teachers (PET) towards the use of humor in education and to examine them according to the variables of gender, marital status, age, and year of professional service. In the research, the survey model was used. The data group consisted of 140 volunteer PETs selected according to the simple random sampling method. The Attitude Scale towards the Use of Humor in Education was used. The data analysis of the research includes frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation analysis for descriptive statistics; Variance analysis (One-way ANOVA, independent sample t test) was used to compare mean scores in unrelated measurements and, the Tukey test was used to determine which groups had significant differences. As a result of the study, there was no significant difference in the attitudes of PETs towards using humor in education according to gender. It has been determined that married PETs have more attitudes towards humor deemed necessary in education, PETs who are new to the profession have more beliefs about deemed necessary in education and its effect on language and teaching towards humor, and PETs and who are older have more attitudes to use humor in the effect of maintaining classroom order. The most important result of the study is that PETs' attitudes towards the use of humor in education are at a high level in terms of the effectiveness of education.

Türk Eğitim Sistemindeki Kozmik Yapının Felsefesi

The aim of this study is to describe the concepts, principles and thought systems that affect and direct the structure of the Turkish Education System within the historical development process. For this purpose; the scholastic period, the theories of philosophers who produced knowledge within the scope of the modernism and postmodernism processes and the reflections of the philosophical aspect of these theories to the Turkish education system were researched. For that purpose, philosophers, who were influential in the periods of scholastic, modernism and postmodernism, their ideas and philosophical structures which were valid in that period how to shape the education system were explained by using the concept of the cosmic structure. Therefore, philosophical views that the philosophers in the periods advocated initially, the direction to which movement philosophical views lead, and ultimately the developments in the education system of our country are included. Scholastic period, the theological world view that marked in the period; changes in the social structure of modernism, economic, cultural and political changes; postmodernism, on the other hand, was studied on the basis of the movements that marked the philosophy of education in an effort to understand the other under the influence of the globalization process. It has concluded that the cosmic structure wind that started to blow in the west under these study titles influenced and shaped the educational philosophy and movements in our country.
