Epoxy composites were commonly applied in high voltage field. To improve the electric insulation properties, OMMT was introduced into epoxy resin to prepare OMMT/epoxy nanocomposites, in which the OMMT was uniformly dispersed at nano-scale. The effect of OMMT content on surface hydrophobicity, charge dissipation, surface flashover, electrical breakdown and dielectric properties of the nanocomposite was investigated. The results showed that the incorporation of OMMT could increase the electrical breakdown performance and charge dissipation rate, and reduce the dielectric constant and dielectric loss.

The southern China is located in high-temperature and high-humidity areas with long and high rainfall. Affected by the sea breeze, the salt on the surface of Composite insulators in the area is higher than others. If the insulator is damaged and exposed to continuous rain, there may be a consistent arc on the surface of the insulator due to electric field distortion caused by insulator’s damage. To explore the effect of continuous arc on the properties of silicone rubber materials operating on natural environment, we chose four groups of the silicon rubber samples with different contents of ATH and silica and coat them with kaolin in order to simulate natural pollution. Insulators were placed in the tracking test apparatus, the voltage of 2.5 kV, 3.5 kV, 4.5 kV, 6 kV and the corresponding current velocity were applied to simulate the actual aging process according to the relevant passage. Transverse relaxation time and residual mass were measured respectively, also hardness, lightness and static contact angle of the samples were carried out after the test. The result shows that transverse relaxation time and residual mass of silicone rubber decreased with the increase of accelerated aging time. If the residual mass decreases to a certain value, the silicone rubber material sample cannot continue to run while discharge is concentrated in a certain area on the surface of silicone rubber. After the aging process, lightness and static contact of the sample decreased, and hardness changed little. At the same time, it can find that the higher the relative content of ATH and silica, the better the performance of silicone rubber under the action of continuous arc when the rubber content reaches a certain proportion by comparing the properties of silicone rubber with different component.

The development of energy storage technology and the expansion of market demand have promoted the rapid development of energy storage industry. However, the high investment cost and single operating income model restrict the commercialization of energy storage on the user side. Based on the existing electricity price policy and the operation characteristics of electricity market in China, this paper analyzes the economy of energy storage projects on the industrial user side under different operation modes including peak load shifting mode, demand response mode and user’s capacity cost reduction mode. By quantitatively analyzing the related costs and benefits of the projects, we compared the internal rate of return and the payback period of investment under different electricity price policies and subsidies. The findings indicate the key factors affecting the economy of the energy storage projects, which provide valuable reference and suggestions for energy storage development on industrial consumers.

When a fault occurs in power grid, accurate and timely fault location is of great significance in reducing fault losses. With the rapid development of synchronous phasor measurement technology, the high-precision big data brought by the synchronous phasor measurement brings many possibilities to the on-line fault diagnosis of the distribution network. This paper proposed an augmented state estimation fault location method based on on-line parameter identification. By using the initial and terminal voltage and current phasor measured by PMU, the relationship between voltage and current along the positive sequence network and negative sequence network is deduced. The line parameters and the fault information (the fault distance and the voltage phasor of the fault point) are augmented into the state quantity, and the state estimation is performed together with the original node state quantity to realize on-line parameter identification and accurate fault location. The radial distribution network model is built in PSCAD. The simulation results verify the correctness and high precision of the proposed algorithm.

In this paper, the three phase static inverter coordinates were modeling and analysis, the effect of equivalent output impedance on the parallel system is also studied. and designed based on the virtual inductance control strategy. The realization method and design method of the virtual inductance in the DQ two-phase rotating coordinate system are given. The traditional droop control equation has been modified to solve the frequency distortion phenomenon of the traditional droop control equation and the output voltage drop caused by the virtual inductance. The new control equation introduces the dynamic differential term, the power quadratic term and the voltage peak feedback. Through steady and transient analysis of the system, the ideal experimental waveform proves that the improved droop control algorithm has better dynamic performance and current sharing effect.

With the development of device condition monitoring and evaluating, fault diagnosis and forecast, the condition based maintenance (CBM) has been gradually popularized and applied in power electric system. As a kind of new method of CBM, health index based maintenance decision can flexibly arrange time to repair the distribution device so that it could effectively improve the maintenance efficiency and cost effectiveness. Considering those factors such as the level of load, maintenance category and live working , an optimal maintenance time scheduling model for 10kV distribution network based on health index was put forward in the paper. Modified genetic algorithm was used to find the solution of model. At last, the method was applied to a test system. The result showed that device health index based distribution network maintenance decision can not only enhance the operation reliability of the power grid, but also reduce the grid operational expenses, showing remarkable social and economic benefits.

To improve the small-signal stability margin, this paper proposes an active power dispatching method based on 1-norm. The model adopted in this method is with simple form, less number of iterations, high computation efficiency and strong convergence, which not only overcomes the problem that the traditional 2- norm optimization model often divides the smaller output regulation quantity into too many units, but also effectively reduces the execution time of the dispatching. In addition, a strict deduction derived from the eigenvalue functions with first order expansion of the Taylor series proves that the model is independent of the eigenvalue sensitivity of the slack bus, which is a great advantage. Testing the WSCC 3-machine 9-bus system and the New England 10-machine 39-bus system as the examples, we compare the result with 2-norm model, revealing that the proposed method has good optimization effect, high computation efficiency, feasible computational strategy and wide application prospects.

This paper proposes a novel method to assess the compatibility of transnational grid interconnections, including political, social, economic and environmental aspects. Compatibility refers to the degree to which two countries are suitable for grid interconnections. The paper analyzes each influential factor and proposes a set of compatibility indices to quantitively evaluate the compatibility of grid interconnections of multiple countries. A scoring-based method is proposed in this paper for comprehensive compatibility assessment, in which the weighting factors and scoring criteria are developed. The proposed compatibility assessment can effectively identify opportunities, evaluate the feasibility of transnational interconnections between countries and promote accomplishing the vision of Global Energy Interconnections.

The introduction of filler into the epoxy resin has become one of the most important means to improve the electrical performance. In this work, halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) was modified by a commonly used silane coupling agent KH560, and then blended with epoxy resin to prepare epoxy composites. The successful modification of HNTs was confirmed by TGA and FTIR. The structure and performance including dielectric properties, charge dissipation, breakdown strength and flashover voltage of the as-prepared epoxy composites were investigated to reveal the structure-properties relationship.
