Efficient Calculation of the Radiation by an Electrically Large Slot in a Rectangular Cavity 矩形腔中电大槽辐射的有效计算

This work applies a new efficient method to calculate the scattering of electrical large structures on the subject of the radiation of an electrically large slot in a rectangular cavity, excited by an electrically large antenna in the internal region. Due to the method only the antenna and the slot need to be discretized into small elements, which are then represented as electrically small dipole moments, which radiate in the respective region. Once the equivalent dipole moments are known, the generated fields can easily and efficiently be calculated everywhere. The method and the results are validated with the method of moments for the internal and external region and very good agreement can be noted.

Introduction of Wireless Services and Devices in a Hospital Environment Following a Risk-based EMC Approach 采用基于风险的EMC方法在医院环境中引入无线服务和设备

This paper emphasizes the need for a risk-based EMC approach in the hospital environment. A modern hospital with various kinds of wireless medical electronic equipment especially in the intensive care, operation theatre, neonatology, etc., pollutes the environment by creating electromagnetic interference with other equipment in the vicinity or even implanted equipment inside the patient. Even following the IEC 60601-1-2 product standard for medical equipment which is based on a rule-based approach, suppressing electromagnetic interference effectively is an arduous task. In the upcoming years, the number of wireless devices in a modern hospital will significantly increase and might cause EMC instability in this highly complex system. Hence, an urgent requirement for an advanced and smarter approach leads to the use of a risk-based EMC approach. The detrimental effect of intentional sources causing electromagnetic interference in the hospital environment is briefly discussed. The risk-based EMC approach has been applied in the Medisch Spectrum Twente hospital, where it was discovered that wireless devices such as digital mobile radio, cell phone, and radio frequency identification equipment critically affect equipment pumps and patient monitors.

Prospective Analysis of the effect of Silicon based and Silicon-Carbide based Converter on G3 Power Line Communication 硅基和碳化硅基变换器对G3电力线通信影响的前瞻性分析

The rapid growth of renewable energy applications increases the complexity of the system, followed by the increase of using fast switching converters in the smart grid. Thus, the probability of electromagnetic interference between the system elements may cause a lot of communication problems between smart grid elements. On the other hand, the use of a SiC-based converter gets a great interest due to its fast switching capability and loss reduction. This paper focuses on studying the difference between the influence of dc Si-based transistor and SiC-based transistor on the performance of narrowband G3-PLC. The experimental setup was implemented to emulate a real situation, and tests were performed to show the results at different operating conditions.

Reduction of Conducted Emissions in DC/DC Converters with FPGA-based Random Modulation 基于fpga的随机调制降低DC/DC变换器传导辐射

FPGA became a low-cost platform providing the possibility to design new "EMC friendly" control techniques for power electronics. However, some of the functions required in the power electronic control system are difficult to implement in FPGA. The main challenges are connected to the fixed-point operation, and the need to adjust the dynamic range of numbers. To provide design insights on this topic, the paper presents an FPGA-based random modulation technique intended for DC/DC converter for harmonic reduction. The presented random technique is compared with deterministic PWM in terms of harmonics reduction and FPGA hardware resources. The theoretical algorithms, hardware details, and experimental results are presented and discussed.

EMI Aspects of Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems for Ships 船舶低压配电系统的电磁干扰问题

In many mission-critical systems, such as naval vessels, the power supply system is insulated. An insulated, or unearthed, system has no connection, or via a high impedance, to earth, and often the neutral is not used. An insulated system has drawbacks with respect to electromagnetic compatibility compared to the usual earthed power supply system, mainly due to the limited use of filtering possibilities. This paper provides a qualitative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of insulated power systems and neutral earthing and the impact on electromagnetic compatibility.

Development of an EMI Detector Based on an Inverted Data Pair with Reduced Number of False Negatives 基于减少假阴性数的倒数据对的电磁干扰检测器的研制

This paper proposes a design of an EMI detector, based on an inverted data pair, for the detection of unwanted electromagnetic disturbances on a wired communication channel with the aim to reduce the overall safety risks related to bit errors on such a communication channel. The EMI detector can detect unwanted electromagnetic (EM) disturbances and generate a warning, which can help the system to follow a precautionary procedure. The performance of the EMI detector is analysed by simulating a random pattern of transmitted bits through a wired channel in the presence of (continuous wave) EMI with varying amplitude, phase, frequency and phase difference between the lines in the inverted data pair. This performance itself is determined by two main metrics: (I) false positives, the number of generated warnings when there is no bit error and, (II) false negatives, the number of bit errors without any warning given by the detector. An ideal EMI detector would have zero false positives and zero false negatives. In this paper, the goal is mainly to reduce the number of false negatives. The EMI detector can be made by using low-cost electronics. It works quite effectively in most of the cases and works better than other detectors presented before in literature.

On-Site Waveform Survey in LV Distribution Network using a Photovoltaic Installation 采用光伏装置的低压配电网现场波形测量

Conducted electromagnetic interference has shown to result in misreadings of static energy meters due to non-linear current waveforms. Based on these findings it is of interest to survey waveforms that occur in typical low voltage distribution networks, and to which static energy meters are exposed to. Therefore, complex waveforms in a domestic photovoltaic installation are identified. Furthermore, discrepancies between the generated power, consumed power by the loads and drawn power from the grid are found. This paper aims to correlate these waveforms to the observed discrepancies in the power consumption data and survey the waveforms that occur in these modern installations.

Research on the coupling response and shielding design of cable in compound electromagnetic environment 复合电磁环境下电缆耦合响应及屏蔽设计研究

Laser inertial confinement fusion (ICF) is a kind of nuclear fusion method. The internal environment of the target chamber of ICF facility is compound, including electromagnetic radiation and ionizing radiation; both radiations will produce coupling current in the cable core. Therefore, high shielding requirements are put forward for the composite shielding of the cables in the target chamber under the composite environment. According to the simulation calculation, the preliminary design of compound shielding cable can effectively reduce the coupling response of electromagnetic radiation and ionizing radiation at the same time.

The internal environment of the target chamber of ICF facility is compound, including electromagnetic radiation and ionizing radiation; both radiations will produce coupling current in the cable core. Therefore, high shielding requirements are put forward for the composite shielding of the cables in the target chamber under the composite environment. Worst Case Model for Fast Analysis of Intermodulation Interference in Radio Receiver 无线电接收机互调干扰快速分析的最坏情况模型

A behavioral model for analysis of intermodulation interference that may arise in a radio receiver operating in complicated electromagnetic environment is developed. The model makes it possible to predict the levels of unequal-power multi-signal intermodulation interference (generated by involving the receiver input signals and the local oscillator signal, including its main tone and harmonics) on the basis of information about the levels of receiver susceptibility to mixer-generated spurious responses and to two-signal intermodulation of different kinds and orders. The model combines the worst case nature of intermodulation level prediction (which is a distinctive feature of conventional methods for analysis of intermodulation) with the high speed of computations (which is implemented by the use of the discrete nonlinear analysis technology). The experimental analysis of intermodulation interference in the AOR AR5000 receiver is performed in order to validate the developed model; the measurements were implemented with the use of the double-frequency test technique, which makes it possible to detect all kinds of two-signal intermodulation interference arising in a receiver.

In order to organize interlaboratory comparisons and provide proficiency testing services in radiated immunity testing according to IEC 61000-4-3, a high quality reference device is developed. This device is adapted for the frequency range of 80 MHz to 6 GHz, and it is equipped with appropriate detecting mechanisms that record the required parameters for comparisons. This device is a significant improvement compared to a previous device already developed few years ago. The device architecture and the principles of operation are presented in detail, as well as a preliminary evaluation of its stability and linearity.
