Waḥid ad-Dīn Khān has a profound interest in the questions of faith within the discourse of Kalam with the emergence of challenges in religion and the cognitive explosion in contemporary thought. In this case, Khān is encouraged to defend Islamic theology from challenges, such as the evidence-based questions about the existence of God. Those inquiries are arising among Western atheists, who are seeking scientific, empirical, and rational evidence. Responding to this challenge, Khān defends the theology by introducing a fresh paradigm of Kalam, a scientific theory based on Quranic foundations. This discourse encourages the ramification of Quranic values to remind God’s intention, configures the “scientific” verses with new scientific discoveries, inspires the complete verses of God in the human soul, and integrates Islamic-theological literature with scientific methods. Khān argues that modern scientific discoveries are parallel with the Qur'an, in which the human mind and divine revelation are colliding with each other.

The Qur'an revealed to this world is a guide and a mercy to humans in this world, because the Qur'an is solely to help mankind as a guide for their life. People who read the Qur'anul Karim are expected not only to know how to read it but are also expected to be able to understand the contents of the content, therefore, the methodology of understanding the Qur'an needs to be known and studied in order to have more faith in the Qur'an. 'an is getting stronger. In terms of verse division, the scholars classify the verses in the Qur'an, there are differences in determining the verses and letters that were revealed in the city of Mecca and the verses that were revealed in the city of Medina so that they the scholars define Makkiyah and Madaniyah. Makkiyah is what was revealed in Mecca, even though it was revealed after the hijrah, Madaniyah is what was revealed in the city of Medina so that from this definition the word contains three elements, namely 1) Time, 2) Location and 3) The target of the verses and letters that were revealed. Place criteria as the basis for classification without considering its effect on the text in terms of content and form. In addition to the criteria above, there are other criteria that are used to distinguish between makki and civil. Keywords: Makki, Madani

Among the many commentators who tried to launch a new interpretation model from their predecessors was Bint Shati' who was known for his studies of literature and interpretation of the Qur'an. Among his works, Maqal Fi Al-Insan: Dirasah Qur'aniyyah, this book is a book that applies mawdhu'i interpretation with the interpretation method initiated by the author himself, namely Bint Shati' with the object of his discussion about humans in the perspective of the Qur'an. 'an. From the contents of this book, it can be understood that there are no synonyms in the Qur'an, so that all the vocabulary of the Qur'an which refers to human meanings have their respective meaning entities. Humans as a descendant of Adam are referred to as al-Nas. All humans have a very identical resemblance in al-bashar, and he is a different being from al-jinn as al-ins. Problems among the people never stop at one time. Although these problems have been raised by the salaf scholars. As was the case a few years ago, there was a lot of discussion about the difference in inheritance provisions of 2:1 for boys and girls which were considered unfair by feminists. Starting from this problem, the author took the initiative to thoroughly discuss how according to the Qur'an, and whether the 2:1 division can be said to be fair. To answer this issue, the researchers used a qualitative approach with content analysis data analysis techniques. From the results of this study indicate that: The distribution of inheritance as determined by the Qur'an in Surah al-Nisa' Verse 11, for boys and girls includes an unequal distribution because the division of inheritance listed in Surah al-Nisa ' In verse 11, the boy gets a 2:1 share or in other words the boy gets a share that is double that of the girl. Justice Division 2: 1 due to several things including the burden of the son is greater and the son is obliged to provide for his wealth to his family. Abstract: This article examines the concept of human spirituality as a spiritual being (homo religious) from the perspective of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The aim is to find common ground related to human spirituality in the teachings of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism based on information from the scriptures of each religion. This research uses a comparative study method with exoteric and esoteric paradigms. The results of this study indicate that, in the exoteric realm between Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism about human spirituality, there are different methods. Still, the differences are not contradictory but only systematic. The esoteric realm is generally oriented to the same dimension: the achievement of transcendental union or union with God. Keywords: Spirituality, Human, Religion, Exoteric, Esoteric

Manna and Salwa> is a term mentioned simultaneously in the Qur'an three times in three different letters. For the word Manna it self is repeated 37 times with 27 forms in different letters, while for the word Salwa> it self is mentioned 3 times in different letters. Of course, the word has a different meaning in each letter, so it requires a deep understanding to know the difference. The disclosure of the meaning of Manna and Salwa> will be the author of the analysis using semantics, and the interpretation of the Qur'an and its Exegesis and al-Mishbah tafsir. The process carried out in this study is: the author will present the data in the form of verses of the Qur'an related to lafazd Manna and Salwa> and clarify it. Then the author will analyze using semantic theory with the following stages : The first step is to search for keywords, then find the basic meaning and relational meaning, then look for synchronized concepts with. Tracing the definitions of Manna and Salwa> with pre-Qur'anic, Post-Qur'anic, Post-Qur'anic, then presents the Weltanschauung of the word. After studying using semantic theory, the author will conduct a critical study, namely analyzing the meaning of the words Manna and Salwa> in the Tafsir of the Qur'an and its Tafsir, and Tafsir Al-Mishbah.

Discussing Suhrawardi, certainly, cannot be separated from his concept of thinking about illumination (hikmah isyrâqiyya), which has contributed to the foundation of human knowledge and awareness. The research question in this paper is how esotericism in Shihabuddin Suhrawardi’s Sufism relates to the philosophy of Illumination. The discussion of this study is based on qualitative library research. In each section, this paper is supplemented with an explanation using the methods of description, interpretation, and data analysis to build a consistent and thorough understanding. This paper found that, according to Suhrawardi, knowledge is the presence of an object to know. Knowledge can only be attained by musyâhada and mukâsyafa, not merely through logical reasoning. To achieve the truth of implicit knowledge, Suhrawardi’s philosophy of illumination suggested the combination of reason and intuition, which are complementary to one another. Regarding esotericism, in this case, the soul is interpreted as a part of the realm of light, but it is trapped in darkness, so spiritual training must be carried out in the spirit of soul-giving. According to him, only a clean soul can be connected to the divine light, wherein at that level one can get intuitive wisdom, or in Sufism, it is called laduni knowledge.

This paper describes the phenomenon of hybrid identity among young urban Muslims in the popular da'wah movement in Yogyakarta. This research takes a case study of Teras Da'wah by using an ethnographic approach. This research argues that today's da'wah movement is oriented towards market Islam or market religion. The consequence of this market Islam is that it gives birth to a distinctive da'wah movement, namely the identity of young Muslim hybrids who appreciate various Islamic ideologies. In addition, their hybrid identity also has an impact on how Teras Da'wah appreciates symbols of popular culture such as developing an office or da'wah center resembling a modern cafe, using social media and slang dictions in preaching, and using contemporary da'wah themes. It also uses music, films, futsal and hanging out culture as an instrument of da'wah. This puts da'wah in a form that fits the identity of urban Muslim youths, who are pious and modern
