Muslim countries. Throughout Islamic history's trajectory, waqf has served as a crucial element in the advancement of Islamic civilization. It has substantially contributed to religious, social, educational, economic, and community progress. To ensure the effective preservation and management of waqf assets, the presence of a robust waqf law that serves as a guiding framework is indispensable. In modern times, the legislation pertaining to waqf in Muslim countries has undergone significant evolution and enhancement. However, waqf laws in Muslim countries are subject to change. This paper employed a qualitative research method using secondary data to analyze the evolution and contemporary practices of waqf laws in Muslim countries. The result of this study found that waqf laws in Muslim countries have experienced multiple reforms, with the number of changes varying across different nations. Reforms in waqf laws across Muslim countries demonstrate ongoing efforts to enhance the legal frameworks governing waqf management and administration, addressing the evolving needs and challenges associated with waqf properties. These reforms aim to ensure efficient utilization and management of waqf assets for the betterment of society.
This study examines the attitude of Instagram followers @taulebih.id towards LGBTQ+ content on the Instagram provides information about sexual education based on an Islamic point of view. One of them is the Instagram account @taulebih.id which often provides information about LGBTQ+ to give a complete picture of the LGBTQ+ community from an Islamic viewpoint. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. The information integration theory states accumulate information has latent power and can influence individuals to have certain attitudes. Information Integration Theory focuses on how individuals collect and organize information about accumulate information to act positively or negatively towards attitude objects. Researchers used questionnaire on Instagram with 100 respondents. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test show that the influence of LGBTQ+ content @taulebih.id with the valance and weight dimensions significantly affects followers' attitudes. The results obtained by Ha are accepted, which means that there is a significant influence on the attitude of followers or followers who agree with the statements in the @taulebih.id account. This can be proven from the data results of t count 14.789 which is greater than t table, namely 1.292 so that it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted.
The focus of the research is the development of the subject "Islam and Religious Moderation" in Islamic Education study program at IAIN Kerinci and learning tools, namely Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS, Semester Learning Plan) and course syllabus. In conducting the research, the research and development (R&D) approach is used as a basic reference for developing lecture programs through observation or survey methods, trials and classroom actions. From the results and research analysis, it can be concluded that in the development of a course there are several things that must become the product of development including the course structure, RPS, syllabus, and course-teaching materials of course. In terms of the development of the Islamic and Religious Moderation course based on the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka (MBKM, Independent learning – Independent campus) program, theoretical and practical analysis of the guidelines, instructions, and implementation of religious moderation and MBKM is needed. The product development courses are further refined through validation by curriculum and religious education experts and theoretical validation through journal articles of international repute as comparisons.
This paper discusses the relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in managing the pilgrimage. Hajj is a sector that makes a significant contribution to the economy of Saudi Arabia. However, the increasing number of pilgrims every year makes managing the pilgrimage more difficult and makes Saudi Arabia face regional pressure in the form of internationalizing the management of the pilgrimage. During regional pressure, Saudi Arabia is trying to diversify its economy through Saudi Vision 2030 which contains plans to improve the governance of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. Indonesia, one of the countries that cares about pilgrims, is often faced with facts related to the inefficient management and services of Hajj. Through the concept of national interest, this research shows that the internationalization pressure of hajj has become a stimulus for Saudi Arabia in improving the management of its hajj in line with its 2030 vision which also focuses on hajj issues. The collaboration of these two factors has made Indonesia, a close partner of Saudi Arabia in hajj activities, will have a positive effect in the form of increased aspects of service and mobility that will make it easier for Indonesian pilgrims to perform the pilgrimage.
This article attempts to analyze how Indonesian Muslim scholars, such as Kiai Hasyim Muzadiwith his Nahdlatul Ulama background, not only profoundly understand the term of Moderate Islam but also implement this term within the Indonesian context. Data were obtained from interviews with Kiai Hasyim’s friends, family and documents on his unpublished textual speeches, notes, and comments on media. This study showed that moderate Islam is a term that has different meanings and has raised an intense debate among Muslim scholars. For instance, some Muslim scholars and activists in the United States even try to avoid using this term, and some use it with high caution. Unlike their colleagues in other countries, Indonesian scholars use this term as an icon of their activism and to label their respected organizations appropriated with this term. Using the Qur’anic term of Islam Rahmatan lil Alamin, Kiai Hasyim Muzadi introduces and promotes the moderate Islamic teachings to Indonesian Muslim and global societies. He believes that the core of Islamic teaching is in its moderate teachings and values. He argues that only with this moderate values and teaching, Islam will respond to the contextual problem faced by Muslims in the World.
