Objectives. To assess the caries status of the first permanent molars (FPMs) in a group of 6-9 years-old schoolchildren from general population. Material and method. Cross-sectional clinical study performed on a group of 268 schoolchildren (139 boys) (mean age = 7.78±1.27 years). Clinical oral examination was performed in the classroom, in daylight, according to WHO recommendations (1997). The FPM dental status was recorded: sound, decay, treated. FPM prevalence caries index (Ip FPM ), mean values of carious experience indices (DMF-T FPM , DMF-S FPM , SiC FPM ) and their components were calculated and the values were assessed according to age and sex. Caries distribution according to topography, depth and treatment methods was assessed. Statistical analysis was performed with ANOVA and t-test (p < 0.05). Results. Ip FPM = 46.26%; Ip FPM boys = 50.35%, Ip FPM girls = 41.86% (p < 0.05). Ip FPM = 29.16% – at 6 years, 33.82% – at 7 years, 50% – at 8 years, 61.7% – at 9 years. DMF-T FPM = 0.93; DMF-SFPM = 1.1; SiC FPM = 2.43. FPM dental status: 69.4% – caries-free, 4.58% – non-cavitated caries, 20.51% – uncomplicated cavitated caries, 0.09% – complicated caries and 5.37% – filled. The most frequent lesions were uncomplicated occlusal caries – 88.88%. Conclusions. Approximately half of the examined children had at least one FPM decayed on at least one surface. Regular dental check-ups are required shortly after the FPM eruption, which would allow the application of preventive methods or the detections of lesions at an early stage and the use of minimally invasive treatment methods.

Impacted canines represent an increasingly frequent anomaly, of particular importance for the functionality of the dentomaxillary system and aesthetic appearance. Aim. To present the incidence and the degree of impacted canine in a group of children aged who need an orthodontic treatment. Material and method. We conducted a study in 18 patients, who requested a treatment plan in the period 20142017. The materials used in the study were: patients’ medical records, the orthopantomographic radiographs, study models and photographs of each case. Results. The frequency of canine impaction following the study was 8 % ,more frequent involvement of the male sex, with a percentage of 56% compared to the female sex, with 44%. The most frequent degree of impaction found in this study was 2nd degree , followed by 3rd degree , and 1st degree Conclusion. In the great majority of the cases, impaction was located in the maxillary arch. the most frequent location was palatal, 78%.

topicality. In the complex treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the etiology and pathogenesis of dystrophic-inflammatory periodontal diseases. Conditionally pathogenic microorganisms of the dental biofilm can exert their pathogenic effect only in case of a slight decrease in the local or systemic immune defense of the patient's body. The presence of stress has a significant impact on the resistance of the organism and, accordingly, on the development, course and treatment of periodontal diseases. This should be taken into account in the complex treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis. Considering this, a medical scheme for the preparation of patients with generalized periodontitis with the presence of psycho-emotional stress using a complex of adrenoblockers has been proposed. Aim of the study. To determine the clinical efficacy of the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in the complex treat- ment of patients with generalized periodontitis of the chronic course in the presence of psychoemotional stress. Material and methods. For this study, 40 patients were selected with a generalized chronic periodontitis with the presence of psychoemotional stress. Medicamental treatment was performed using the proposed premedication with a complex of adrenoblockers. A comprehensive survey of the condition of the periodontal tissues of patients before treatment and as soon as possible after treatment was carried out. To assess the clinical efficacy of treatment, a test of Schiller-Pisarev (1962), PMA index by C. Parma (1961), hygienic index OHI-S (1978), index PBI (H.R. Mühlemann, S. Son, 1971), periodontal index PI (A.L. Russel, 1956) were used. The level of psychological stress was assessed using the DASS-21 and Spielberger-Khanin questionnaires. results. As a result of the investigation it was found that the usage of the proposed complex of adrenoblockers in the complex therapy of patients with chronic course of generalized periodontitis with the presence of psychoemotional stress can effectively inhibit the dystrophic-inflammatory process in periodontal tissues. This confirms by the decline in the index PMA, OHI-S, РВІ, PI at nearest observation terms. conclusions. Usage of the proposed complex of adrenoblockers increases the effectiveness of treatment of chronic course of generalized periodontitis in patients with the presence of psychoemotional stress.
Parma(1961)的PMA指数、卫生指数OHI-S(1978)、PBI指数(H.R. mhelmann, S. Son, 1971)和牙周指数PI (A.L. Russel, 1956)。

Aim. Our study focused on the analysis of the degree of kwowledgetof the dental colour's characteristics, by the dentists regarding the hue, chroma and value, for dentures wearer edentulous patients, and their knowledge in this field, in correlations with some factors. Material and method. 50 dentists, with a variable number of years of professional experience, between 24 and 54 years old, feminine in majority, formed the lot of study, to which an online questionnaire was applied, with 18 questions with one single option of answer. The results were statistically analysed. Results and discussions. The obtained data show statistically significant results. The results regarding the knowledge about The Munsell Coloristic System show that the majority of the doctors are aware about this system. (85.7%). The correlations between the doctor' s age and his knowledge about this system, using the Fisher’s Exact Test show statistic significative differences (p = 0.029). Using the same test, for the question regarding the most important colour characteristic from the 3 of them, statistic significative differences were obtained (p = 0.042), doctors from the smallest age groups were the most well trained. Conclusions. The selection of the tooth colour is process influenced by subjective and objective factors (tooth colour knowledge) that can be improved.
