Indonesia should be able to provide inexpensive solar dryers due to the availability of sunlight all year round throughout the country. This study proposes a passive direct solar dryer as it is the simplest one to construct, with aluminum mesh sheets as a heat-absorbing material, and glass fiber as an insulating material. For the cost-effective transparent cover, this study proposes 0.8 mm clear polycarbonate (PC), 2 mm clear glass, and 2 mm clear acrylic. The experimental test results of the solar dryer model showed that the highest heat efficiency value for polycarbonate (PC) is 16%, whereas the heat efficiency value for glass and acrylic is 10% and 8%, respectively. Through these findings, the construction of solar dryers is simple and low cost by using glass fiber as insulation, aluminum mesh sheets as heat absorbers, and PC instead of thin glass as transparent covers.

Penerapan Metode Waterfall Pada Aplikasi Tracer Study Berbasis Website 基于站点的轨迹研究应用程序的窗口方法

Tracer study is a method used by several Vocational High Schools (SMK) to collect alumni data and monitor alumni progress. The problem is in monitoring the alumni who do not only stay in Cilacap but outside of the city as well. Moreover, the data collection method is still simple by only using a questionnaire form filled out when they take their diplomas. This condition is less effective because many alumni are still looking for a job, therefore it is difficult to check up on them all the time. This study aims to create a tracer study application using the waterfall method. The testing phase uses the Blackbox testing method. Based on the test results, the application can make it easier for BKK administrators to collect alumni data and help monitor the alumni progress by checking the percentage of alumni status and making it easier for alumni to fill out questionnaires. The results of the overall usability test conducted on 30 respondents resulted in the predicate "Very Good" with an average of 85.51%.

Human dependence on motorized vehicles is getting higher and uncontrollable. This actualization will certainly have an impact on reducing fuel stocks and air pollution with soot emissions. Combining diesel fuel with jatropha and alcohol is predicted to reduce dependence on diesel fuel and air pollution. Supplying the combustion chamber with exhaust gas/Exhaust Gas Recirculation/EGR is also predicted to reduce soot emissions and reduce fuel consumption. This study aims to observe the effect of using the EGR system on the use of mixed fuel jatropha and ethanol exhaust gas temperature/EGT as an indication of performance and soot/smoke opacity as exhaust emissions. The experimental results show the use of the EGR system increases EGT and Smoke opacity decreases the diesel engine in each fuel variation. D100 fuel EGT increased 1.67%, DJ10 increased 0.71%, DJ10E increased 0.67%, DJ20 increased 1.45%, DJ20DE increased 1.07%, DJ30 increased 1.50%, and DJ30E fuel EGT increased by 1.47%. While on the emission side, the smoke opacity of D100 fuel decreased by 1.84%, DJ10 decreased by 1.71%, DJ10E decreased by 2.21%, DJ20 decreased by 0.96%, and DJ20E decreased by 2.33, DJ30 decreased by 2.99%, and DJ30E fuel decreased 1.30%.

Pengembangan Model Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Picohydro Tipe Turbin Cross Flow Head Rendah

The provision of food, energy supply, and the provision of information are The food provision, energy supply, and information delivery are controlled to improve people's welfare. The availability of independent PhPP has been built by many communities. PhPP with a waterwheel drive provides a capacity of about 100 watts thus it is only enough for home lighting, whereas the hydro energy potential of the area is quite abundant. The development that has been carried out has several weaknesses; PhPP plump turbine type requires a high head which becomes a constraint for agricultural irrigation, in the other hand PhPP waterwheel type has low efficiency. The research was conducted to develop PhPP low head cross-flow turbine type, which is more efficient. The development begins with the experiment of the PhPP cross-flow turbine model to optimize the ratio of the diameter and width of the runner. A preliminary case study provides experimental results for a cross-flow turbine's torque and power parameters at a flow rate of 0.053 m3/s. Changes in the turbine diameter and width ratio are optimum at a runner width of 10 cm.

Effect of Cutting Parameter Toward The Surface Roughness Applied In Turning Tool Steel Material 切削参数对车刀钢材料表面粗糙度的影响

In this study, the effect of the tool-tip radius and cutting process parameters on the quality of the machining process experimentally on the use of SKD 11 tool steel material. Several radius (0.80 mm, 1.20 mm, 1.60 mm) and the parameters of the cutting process, specifically feed rate, cutting speed, and depth of cut. The ANOVA method used in this study aims to analyze the cutting process parameters on the surface quality of the workpiece and the cutting force. The analysis of this research results in certain conditions in which the feed rate significantly affects surface quality. However, this is contrary to the depth of cut parameter, which affects the cutting force. This study also observed the effect of the tooltip radius on the optimal surface quality when using a 0.80 mm radius. The second-order regression modeling used in this analysis shows a very good level of accuracy, with the correlation value of accuracy ranging from 96% to 98%.

Efek Penambahan Butanol Terhadap Emisi dan Temperatur Gas Buang Mesin Bensin EFI Menggunakan EGR 添加丁醇对废气排放和气温废气的EGR治理效果

Diterima: 12 Januari 2022 Tingginya angka oktan dan kandungan oksigen pada butanol dapat memperbaiki pembakaran lebih sempurna dan gas sisa hasil pembakaran mesin lebih ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menguji efek penambahan butanol 5% sampai dengan 15% dengan interval 5% pada mesin bensin dengan sistem EGR berbahan bakar premium terhadap emisi dan temperatur gas buang. Alat ukur analisis gas buang digunakan untuk mengukur gas hasil pembakaran. Temperatur gas buang diukur menggunakan termokopel yang terpasang pada exhaust manifold. Campuran P85B15 menurunkan kadar CO sebesar 68,11% dan HC sebesar 37,50% dibanding P100. Namun, emisi CO2 dan temperatur gas buang meningkat. Penggunaan hot dan cold EGR secara umum meningkatkan emisi gas buang mesin. Namun, temperatur gas buang menurun sebesar 4,72% saat mesin menggunakan cold EGR dan 1,33 % saat mesin meggunakan hot EGR.
