. The article examines the duration of introductions in contemporary Bulgarian pop and rock songs, created between the 90s of the XX century and the 20s of the XXI century. A total of 44 hits from this period and from the previous one were explored. The songs have occupied the first places in the music charts of specialized Bulgarian media. The hypothesis investigated is that there is a tendency for short duration and even lack of introduction in the works. A comparative method and analysis were used to prove or reject this assumption. They confirm the hypothesis of an evolving process of weakening the function of introduction in contemporary Bulgarian pop and rock songs. The study found a new pattern - the minimized form of instrumental introductions led to changes in their content, requiring them to be extremely bright and impactful in a very limited time span. The short and missing instrumental introduction in contemporary Bulgarian pop and rock songs proves to be a new structural technique and a composite tool for aesthetic suggestion. The result of this is manifested in the liking of these songs from the first listen and turning them into hits.

. The article analyzes the formation of the content training of future doctor of philosophy for research and innovation activity, which needs new approaches in view of increasing academic competition between scientists in national and international formats. The purpose of the research is the disclosure of the essence and structure of the content-operational component of postgraduate students’ disposition for research and innovation activity. The paper uses a descriptive research method based on a literary review of foreign and domestic experience in preparing future specialists for research and innovation activity in the process of professional training. As a result of the theoretical analysis, a content-cognitive unit and an operational-activity unit were isolated in the structure of the content-operational component. The content-cognitive unit is a complex of knowledge about the essence, types, features, mechanisms and functions of research and innovation activity, its place and role in the modern university and external innovation processes; the legal bases of scientific and innovative activity, including issues related to creation and protection intellectual property objects, licensing and business agreements; basic forms and ways of research and innovation, in particular, the presentation and dissemination of scientific information using oral, printed and electronic means; procedure for preparation, submission and implementation of research and innovative projects, including conditions for participation in academic mobility programs; knowledge of principles of academic integrity and research ethics.
