The current market development is very dynamic and it is necessary to adapt to it. Based on several studies, new trends applied in business management were identified. The most significant influence on management trends was the coronavirus pandemic, which in the first months of 2020 had several unexpected socio-economic global effects, forcing governments around the world to take urgent measures. The most common restrictions were strong social distancing and changing the daily routine of millions of office workers around the world. Lockdowns imposed in most countries have led to a sudden shift of corporate activities from offices to employees’ homes, with office buildings either legally inaccessible or businesses choosing to do so in line with official guidelines and prioritizing employee well-being. Reactivating the economy is a key challenge for policymakers. The article points out the impact of crises on current trends and directions in company management, evaluates work from home, and points out its advantages and disadvantages in the Slovak Republic and selected companies. The main research method was questionary research. The aim of the questionnaire survey was to find out the state of home office use in the Slovak Republic, and employee satisfaction with this type of work. Opening the market in developing countries for companies and multinational companies and the form of homework office, made possible by the internationalization and decentralization of businesses, are characterized by different ways of working. The work is a product of various historical, political, and social elements, and as a subject of study, it is in various fields of knowledge that are subject to the interference of changes in all its areas. Therefore, workers and organizations must adapt to new ways of performing tasks.

Marketing effectiveness evaluation is crucial for creating a marketing strategy that delivers a competitive advantage; however, it is a challenging process for organisations. A comprehensive literature review on various metrics used to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities is presented in this study. The research discusses the importance of evaluating marketing effectiveness in the current business environment. Different metrics used to evaluate marketing activities’ effectiveness, such as return on marketing investment, customer satisfaction, market share analysis and other significant metrics are explored. By applying the alignment of each metric to specific marketing activities, the classification of the compelling marketing metrics is presented. The discussion on the selection of relevant evaluation techniques is based on relation to business goals and objectives, shaping its marketing strategies and impact on budget al.ocation. Theoretical investigations in the research field propose that emphasising the significance of regularly evaluating the success of marketing efforts, employing appropriate effectiveness evaluation metrics, helps to make informed decisions and enhance future marketing activities.

The present paper explores the CSR informational asymmetry of the Romanian banking sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, using multiple case studies. The research results outline that the CSR activity was not properly exploited by the banks during the pandemic, strengthening the increasing visibility of the economic performance as part of the corporate social responsibility approach. The research methodology was organised in a three-step process: a content analysis, computation of a CSR scorecard based on Global Reporting Initiative guidelines and testing the effect of the CSR disclosure on the banks’ resilience during pandemic. The regression analysis positively relates the CSR score to the banks’ performance, suggesting that 29.8% variation in total net assets is explained by the independent variable CSR_score. The main findings of the paper are significant in the banks’ transition to digital banking, assisting decision makers from banks in implementing appropriate CSR disclosure mechanisms.

Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) are important and recognized facilitators of a competitive economic environment and its development. However, they are under continuous demand to adjust their role in the business ecosystem and determine their strategic development directions. BMOs performance, their existing connections, advantages and benefits are challenged by changing business cooperation patterns, digital transformation, generation change and other emerging factors. The paper analyses how BMOs can sustain in delivering business value to their members and stakeholders (individual firms or other BMOs, government, public institutions) through existing and new service ranges, evaluate their business model and continue to be resilient organizations. It demonstrates with a benchmarking analysis across different BMOs how these organizations are important actors with significant benefit for sustainable and competitive business and its environment development. The findings add that reviewed and adjusted BMOs service ranges are among key success factors for BMOs to continue gaining an important role and remain resilient organizations in changing business ecosystems. The paper provides an insight of demand- and supply driven service approaches to meet business and public sector as well as BMOs to be development policy drivers and help determination of business development directions.

A debate among researchers that employee voice and employee silence are distinct constructs is going on for two decades. Furthermore, since 2021 studies are challenging, claimed, and demonstrated through empirical research that voice and silence are independent constructs. In addition, the idea of strategic silence was also presented in the year 2022, supporting this narrative. Hence the main aim of the current study is to provide a holistic picture of all those studies published in the last two decades (2003–2023) claiming voice and silence as unique concepts. For this purpose, the systematic literature review has been developed to know broadly used methodologies, theories, and concepts used in these studies. Furthermore, research gaps have been highlighted where future research is needed. Data were collected through two research databases, Scopus and Web of Science. This paper has expanded the literature in organizing the factual and theoretical knowledge through a systematic literature review for the first time. Thus, it will provide a roadmap for future researchers, human resource practitioners, and managers to understand the concept of voice and silence being unitary constructs and will open future avenues to work on in this sphere.

The ability to lead and effectively manage change is one of the most critical factors in leadership. In today’s changes in the economy and social well-being, various leadership styles are being used, which are applied in the context of the processes of today’s globalization. Leadership has become a highly significant concept in the twenty-first-century context. The scientific literature presents and analyses various leadership styles but does not sufficiently provide practical tools to identify the possibilities of human potential and ensure sustainable management. To improve the microclimate and interpersonal trust of the institution, the most crucial role is played by leadership style, change management, creativity, and giving feedback. The article formulates tasks: to reveal the transformation of attitudes toward leadership by comparing the factors of different leadership styles that influence the team’s focus on achieving the sustainable goals set by the organization. The results of the paper show sustainability could be reached in the organization if the organization’s managers apply sustainable leadership practices.

Nowadays the data-driven approach has become a leading initiative in the context of digital transformations based on the widespread adoption of Internet of Things (IoT). The aim of the research is to estimate the impact of the IoT-related data inputs on the marketing effectiveness within the business-to-business (B2B) environment under the prism of internally involved teams on the way to customer loyalty and satisfaction. The research outcomes highlight the opportunity for maximisation of marketing effectiveness by improving the quality of the acquired lead proceeding towards customer retention. The sample data represents responses from 541 customers of the leading digital platform in Europe within the last two years. The study employs confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and exploratory factor analysis (EFA). A Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) model connects the constructs to the outcome variable.
