The dynamics and complexity of the environment make the ability to build adaptation processes by anticipating negative consequences a priority firm’s capability. Among the solutions indicating the attempts of enterprises to resist threats is the search for the designations of building and strengthening resilience, which would enable strategic revitalization of contemporary enterprises. Based on the methodology of a systematic literature review, areas of empirical exemplification were identified that emerge a cognitive gap in the field of building and strengthening enterprise resilience. The article presents a conceptual framework for a dynamic model of resilience that takes into account the impact of absorptive and adaptive resilience capacities over time. The agenda of the planned research project is also presented.

Design for Six Sigma – DFSS – approach through the years has proven to be effective in development of products and processes. Method has originated in industry being successful in automotive, aviation, machine construction and other sectors. However, the paper describes usage of design for Six Sigma methods and tools in a unique field – to develop successful and effective product training. IDDOV approach, applied with this regard, helps, among others, to understand and classify customer requirements, select proper design, verify the results from pilot testing and recommend process owner optimized service. Presented material provides evidence that Design for Six Sigma is an effective tool also in the case of training development. Moreover, the universality of DFSS methodology makes it relevant for any application area with this regard. Described approach, proving universal usage of DFSS methods and tools, is relevant for any development team in the field of training design.

Purpose. The purpose of this paper is to highlight opportunities for logistic service providers Baltic states accordingly to the recent situation in the region. Transit cargo-flows east-west direction rapidly decreases giving potential to develop logistic industry competitiveness. The purpose of the article should give concise information about the content of the core idea of the paper, and present scientific problem and objectives. Research methodology – scientific literature and public data review. Empirical synthesis of conclusions, suggestions. Findings. The Baltic states have historically been used as locations for transit operations in Northern Europe, serving cargo in the east-west direction. As the geopolitical situation deteriorates rapidly, the volume of cargo for transit operations also decreases. In this situation, regionally, logistics service operators has to provide optimal conditions for ensuring transit cargo flows. Research limitations. In order to be able to look at transit flow as closely as possible, the authors focused on the dynamics of cargo turnover in the largest ports of the Baltic states, assuming that the amount of local consumption in them is an insignificant part. Practical implications. Research data and conclusions further will be used as part of PhD thesis: “Business logistics process model for increasing competitiveness”.Novelty/value of research. Transit logistics creates significant value in the GDP of Baltic states, hence all events to improve competitiveness of industry are supportive.

This study aims to advance knowledge on innovation processes and destination resilience in the post-pandemic world, adopting a systematic literature review through Bibliometrix software. Based on an abductive analysis, this work shows the findings of peer-reviewed studies published in leading hospitality and tourism journals between 2005 and 2023. The data was subjected to thematic analysis and clustered under five main categories based on the distribution of articles by publication year, research topic, author contributions, articles by journal, and articles by country. The original value of this study lies on the identification of innovation forces able to enhance destination resilience.

The global digital transformation increases availability and integrates digital technologies into all economic activities and at all business levels. Thus, digital transformation has evolved from a competitive advantage to a current necessity. The role of scientific research centers in the field of digital transformation is to guide a society in the implementation of this transformation, to find the most reliable, flexible, efficient solutions and methods to deploy, implement, and use it. This study aims to examine the relationship between the activity related to the digital transformation of scientific research centers and The Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) in the European Union. For this analysis, a bibliometric analysis is used, based on the Web of Science database, the number of researchers and articles on digital transformation. The results will be correlated with the level of digitalization in EU economies, considering the value of the DESI for EU countries.

In the era of the COVID-19 epidemic, where industry is doing its best to get through this very difficult moment, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is playing a critical role. The purpose of the article is to demonstrate if there is any association between company debt level and CSR performance measured by ESG score. To proclaim the importance of this strategy, the cartogram maps, Pearson’s correlation and Friedman’s two-way analysis of variance were used. It was proven, that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need of CSR initiatives. In this situation, CSR offers a mechanism to preserve investor confidence, employee loyalty, and customer trust.

Frequent and ongoing changes in organisations that are instigated by external factors can be a significant obstacle, but they can also spark transformations in the sustainability of the business model, unveiling fresh prospects in terms of technology or operations. The inevitable part of each company’s existence is the capability to adapt to the changes and use it to strengthen its competitiveness. Due to the increasing relevance of change management, it is necessary to analyse and accumulate the existing literature on this topic. The objective of the study is to identify the trends of impact and influence of scientific sources on the topic of change management. The research involved two tasks: to analyse the performance of activities in the scientific sources of change management and to create and analyse scientific networks in order to determine the impact and influence of publications. To understand the deeper approach of the publications in the scientific field of change management, the two main bibliometric analysis methods were performed: performance analysis and science mapping. It included the selection of the Scopus database, filtering scientific sources by the main keyword “change management” in the fields of business, management and accounting, and the use of bibliometric indicators. The results showed that the topic of change management started to become popular around 2000, and the most productive source is the Journal of Organisational Change Management. The general performance of the authors and publications was identified; furthermore, the impact and influence of the publications were determined. As can be seen from the research results, the change management topic is studied worldwide by scientists and business representatives.

Porto and São João da Madeira are cities in the metropolitan area of Porto – Portugal. They are quite different regarding dimension and number of inhabitants. Nevertheless, they are considered as attractive for businesses, workers, and tourists. This study aims to analyse how the internal stakeholders of both cities relate to the place brand. An extended literature review of place branding was pursued to select the most relevant variables. Interviews and questionnaires were conducted. Findings concluded that the adopted place branding strategy influences the quality of life of the internal stakeholders, their level of engagement and their relationship with the local institutions.

This study aims to investigate the evolution and the professional and organizational impact of female leadership over the past few years and focuses on the importance of creating an environment more conducive to organizational identification, speaking with the community orientation to act in favor of the organization aspiring feminine leadership positions. A qualitative methodology was applied, and an interview survey was carried out. The results show a remarkable evolution of women in the labor market, specifically in leadership positions. There is also a clear difference, at the behavioral level, between female and male leadership and a subsequent professional/organizational impact.

Over the last few years, a significant number of studies have examined the concept of Industry 4.0 and its impact on business operations. As current business digitalization processes provide a significant opportunity for SMEs to enable the newest marketing tools and customer-oriented approaches, this study aims to investigate the enablement of Industry 4.0 technologies in marketing activities within SMEs for fulfilling customer needs for personalization. The study was based on a systematic analysis of 8 core databases, which generated more than 1400 articles published during 2016–2020. Using PRISMA steps, 50 articles were used for the qualitative content analysis. The findings of this research confirmed that 4th Industrial Revolution technologies enablement impacts all elements of the Marketing Mix and provides the chance to increase customer needs for personalization: it enhances the co-creation opportunities and enables a higher customized shopping experience. This study deepens the understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies’ impact on marketing and identifies potential unexplored research gaps in this area.
