A new method of pedestrian gait classification 一种新的行人步态分类方法

Gait classification is one of the hottest but most difficult subjects in computer vision. In order to identify pedestrian movement in an Intelligent Security Monitoring System, moving body is detected and the boundary is extracted. The paper proposes a complex number notation based on centroid in order to indicate a pedestrian's postures. And according to the different sorts of gaits, a set of different standard pedestrian posture contours is made. Different gait matrices based on spatio-temporal are acquired through Hidden Markov Models (HMM). A Procrustes distance analysis method is presented in order to get the degree to which two contours are resembled. Finally Fuzzy Associative Memory (FAM) is proposed to infer behavior classification of a walker. In this paper, an evaluation of ten kinds of different gaits is given with a 76.7% recognition rate.

Autonomous learning has been widely applied nearly in all courses due to the great contribution of constructivist learning. Blackboard Academic Suite (Bb) is under use in many universities nowadays throughout the world, due to its marvelous functions as to provide rich recourses for study, to create context, to establish collaboration between students, and that between students and teachers etc., which lead to meaning construction finally. The great functions of Bb set good foundation for autonomous learning. This paper puts forward a model of autonomous English learning model based on Bb.

Exploration on electrical and electronic teaching reform by information technology 利用信息技术进行电工电子教学改革的探索

This paper deals with how to use information technology to promote the teaching reform in electrical and electronic courses, so as to improve students' comprehensive ability. Firstly, the situation of electrical and electronic education, electrical and electronic curriculum and the teaching reform in electrical and electronic courses are given. Then, the relationship between information technology and electrical and electronic teaching reform is discussed. Finally, the ways to improve electrical and electronic teaching are proposed. This effort is to improve students' comprehensive innovation ability by means of information technology and putting the proposed methods into practice.

Research on human resource allocation optimization based on genetic algorithm from the perspective of two-way choice model 基于双向选择模型的遗传算法人力资源配置优化研究

This rational and efficient allocation of human resources is a prerequisite to improve overall efficiency of the organization. This article analysed and evaluated the related elements of organization, and then it proposed a two-way choice model of optimal allocation of human resources form the maneuverability. We used the genetic algorithm to solve the model and desgined detail process of the algorithm. That method provided a new specific quantitative management tool to optimal allocation of human resources. Finally, a numerical example is calculated to proved the effectiveness of the method.

Real-Time approximate soft shadow rendering with bidirectional penumbra map 实时近似软阴影渲染与双向半影地图

The present traditional penumbra map method can only render the outer part of the penumbra, which breaks down when the umbra region significantly decreases because of the large light sources and the large distance between the occluder and the shadowed objects. This happens for very large area light source or as the occluder moves away from the objects it shadows. This paper proposes a real-time soft shadow rendering method based on bidirectional penumbra map generated in image space. It first extracts the edge of the shadow in the shadow map without rendering the whole scenes again. Then it extends the edges both inside and outside to obtain the inner and outer penumbra region, and calculate the change of lighting intensity along the two directions to generate the bidirectional penumbra map. Lastly, the final image is rendered with this penumbra map and the shadow map. This method solves the distortion problem of the traditional penumbra map method when the umbra region significantly decreases. It has only two rendering passes and approximates the soft shadow in image space, thus can be design to run entirely on GPU. The result of our experiments shows the efficiency of our approach.

Applying simulation teaching method to Numerical Control machining practice 模拟教学方法在数控加工实践中的应用

Applying simulation method to NC (Numerical Control) machining practice can achieve real operation training goal, and can greatly reduce the expensive equipment and risk. The paper introduces the connotation and process of simulation method, describes applying process of simulation method in numerical control practice with examples. And characteristics, application scope and notice of simulation teaching method are analyzed.

Rock mechanics is not only a basic theoretical course of civil engineering specialty, but also an applied subject, closely contacted with engineering practice. It's very difficult to lecture this curriculum in a traditional way because of its complicate context and subject investigated. Combined with author's years of teaching method and exploring experience, this article hold that rock mechanics teaching should be strengthened on the basis of classroom teaching theory, closely linking to experimental teaching, strengthening practical teaching, improving the students' ability to solve practical engineering problems through the basic theoretical knowledge they acquired, and attaching the importance to cultivating student's ability of exploring and innovation.

In many Chinese universities, senior students majoring in geology engineering and civil engineering are offered the optional course of engineering geology numerical method. They find this course extremely difficult since it involves a great deal of recondite contents and knowledge points. During over a decade's teaching practice, the author of this paper has summed up some experience and methods. He suggests the use of the multiple objective teaching. More specifically, the teacher can assign different learning tasks to different students in practice and after-class instruction based on their different capacities and interests, allowing them to give play to their learning and studying potentials.
