Palestinian Universities Faculty Members' Assessment of Obstacles Hindering the Use of Future Study Methods in Educational Research 巴勒斯坦大学教师对阻碍在教育研究中使用未来学习方法的障碍的评估

: The study aimed to assess the opinions of a sample of faculty members in Palestinian universities regarding the obstacles that hinder the use of future study methods in educational research . To achieve this , the researcher followed the descriptive analytical method by administering a questionnaire consisting of obstacles distributed over three dimensions : ( methodology , knowledge and desire and convictions ) to 65 participants from Colleges of Education in Palestinian universities ( Islamia – Al - Azhar – Al - Quds – Al - Aqsa ). The results showed that the overall degree of the faculty members ' assessment of the obstacles facing future study methods in educational research was ( 72 . 81 %). The dimension ( desire and convections ) ranked first with a relative weight of ( 78 . 97 %), followed by the ( methodology ) dimension with a relative weight of ( 73 . 81 ). The dimension ( knowledge ) came in third place with a relative weight of ( 73 . 56 %). There were no statistically significant differences at the level ( α ≤ 0 . 05 ) between the mean scores of the participants ' evaluation of these obstacles due to two variables ( nature of work and age ); while there were differences attributed to the factor of specialization in favor of curricula and teaching methods . The study concluded that the efforts of researchers in the field of future studies do not exceed the research achievement , without believing in the feasibility of its results . The study recommended enhancing the attitudes of graduate students towards future studies in the colleges of education .

The Present Situation of Academic Guidance for New Students in the Palestinian Universities: A Case Study of the Islamic University – Gaza 巴勒斯坦大学新生学业指导现状——以加沙伊斯兰大学为例

: The study aimed at assessing the present situation of academic guidance for new students in the Palestinian universities and the ways to improve it . The researchers conducted this study in the Islamic University as a case study . Thus , the researchers followed the analytical descriptive method and used a questionnaire and an interview as tools for data collection . The study sample consisted of ( 285 ) students . The main results of the study were as follows : The present situation of the academic guidance for new students in the Islamic University had a high degree with a relative weight (% 75 . 80 ), and there were no statistically significant differences between the means of the sample ratings on the present situation of the academic guidance for new students in the Islamic University due to gender variable except the dimension of social guidance which was in favor of female students . However , there were statistically significant differences due to major variable for the students of humanities , as well as due to a cumulative mean variable for students who have ( 85 % and more ) except for the dimensions of study guidance and vocational guidance . Finally , the researchers presented suggestions to improve the present situation of the academic guidance for new students in the Islamic University .

The Effectiveness of Flipped Learning in Developing Current and Postponed Achievement among Students of the Study Skills Course at the University of Jordan 翻转学习在约旦大学学习技能课程学生中发展当前和延迟成就的有效性

The present study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the flipped learning in developing the current and postponed achievement among students of the Study Skills course at the University of Jordan. The study sample consisted of (49) female students of educational sciences students, enrolled in the Study Skills at course at the University of Jordan in 2017/ 2018. The study sample was divided into two groups by the purposive sampling method. The first group (the experimental group) consisted of (23) students who studied using the flipped learning, while the second group (the control group) consisted of (26) students who studied using the traditional method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the semi-experimental method was used and a test of 15 items was developed and checked for its validity and reliability. It was used to measure the current and postponed achievement. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) level in the development of the current achievement of the subjects of Study Skills between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. In addition, there were statistically significant differences at (α≤ 0.05) in the postponed achievement of the subjects of Study Skills between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group.
本研究旨在确定翻转学习在约旦大学学习技能课程学生中发展当前和延迟成就的有效性。研究样本包括(49)名2017/ 2018年在约旦大学学习学习技能课程的教育科学专业女学生。采用目的抽样法将研究样本分为两组。第一组(实验组)由23名使用翻转学习的学生组成,而第二组(对照组)由26名使用传统方法学习的学生组成。为了达到研究的目的,采用半实验的方法,开发了15个项目的测试,并对其效度和信度进行了检验。它被用来衡量当前和推迟的成就。研究结果显示,实验组与对照组在学习技能科目的当前成就发展上存在(α≤0.05)水平的统计学差异,实验组表现出明显的优势。此外,实验组与对照组在学习技能的延迟成就上差异有统计学意义(α≤0.05),实验组优于对照组。

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في تنمية مهارات القراءة والكتابة، ومهارات التعلم الذاتي، في مادة القراءة والكتابة، لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية، ولتحقيق هدف هذه الدراسة قامت الباحثة ببناء برمجية تعليمية محوسبة، وإعداد دليل استخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، واختبار تحصيلي يقيس مهارات القراءة والكتابة، واستبانة لقياس مهارات التعلم الذاتي. وقد تم التأكد من صدق أدوات الدراسة وثباتها. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (60) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة الجامعة الأردنية في الفصل الدراسي الثاني 2017/2018، تم توزيعهم إلى مجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية مكونة من (30) طالبا وطالبة، والأخرى ضابطة مكونة من (30) طالبا وطالبة، وتم استخدام المنهج شبه التجريبي الذي عمل على تقسيم العينة إلى مجموعتين: ضابطة درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية، وتجريبية درست باستخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة. أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05) في مهارات القراءة والكتابة لدى طلبة مادة القراءة والكتابة، لصالح طريقة التدريس باستخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، وإلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05) على أبعاد مقياس مهارات التعلم الذاتي الأربع: المهارات التنظيمية، والتحكم والتوجيه، واستخدام مصادر التعلم، والتقويم الذاتي، وعلى المقياس ككل تعزى لطريقة التدريس ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بتعميم تجربة استخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة التي تم تطبيقها على طلبة مادة القرراءة والكتابة على مختلف المواد الدراسية في الجامعة الأردنية، والاستفادة من الأثر الإيجابي لاستخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في تنمية مهارات التعلم الذاتي لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية، وإجراء دراسات أخرى جديدة بتصميمات وأدوات قياس مختلفة، لبحث أثر استخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في مواد منوعة ولمستويات دراسية مختلفة. الكلمات المفتاحية: البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، القراءة، الكتابة، مهارات التعلم لذاتي.

{"title":"The Impact of Instructional Software in Developing Reading, Writing and Self-learning Skills in Reading and Writing Curriculum for the Students of the University of Jordan","authors":"Ayesha Khalfan Almuhairi","doi":"10.20428/AJQAHE.12.39.3","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20428/AJQAHE.12.39.3","url":null,"abstract":"هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أثر برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في تنمية مهارات القراءة والكتابة، ومهارات التعلم الذاتي، في مادة القراءة والكتابة، لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية، ولتحقيق هدف هذه الدراسة قامت الباحثة ببناء برمجية تعليمية محوسبة، وإعداد دليل استخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، واختبار تحصيلي يقيس مهارات القراءة والكتابة، واستبانة لقياس مهارات التعلم الذاتي. وقد تم التأكد من صدق أدوات الدراسة وثباتها. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (60) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة الجامعة الأردنية في الفصل الدراسي الثاني 2017/2018، تم توزيعهم إلى مجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية مكونة من (30) طالبا وطالبة، والأخرى ضابطة مكونة من (30) طالبا وطالبة، وتم استخدام المنهج شبه التجريبي الذي عمل على تقسيم العينة إلى مجموعتين: ضابطة درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية، وتجريبية درست باستخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة. أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05) في مهارات القراءة والكتابة لدى طلبة مادة القراءة والكتابة، لصالح طريقة التدريس باستخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، وإلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (α=0.05) على أبعاد مقياس مهارات التعلم الذاتي الأربع: المهارات التنظيمية، والتحكم والتوجيه، واستخدام مصادر التعلم، والتقويم الذاتي، وعلى المقياس ككل تعزى لطريقة التدريس ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وقد أوصت الدراسة بتعميم تجربة استخدام البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة التي تم تطبيقها على طلبة مادة القرراءة والكتابة على مختلف المواد الدراسية في الجامعة الأردنية، والاستفادة من الأثر الإيجابي لاستخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في تنمية مهارات التعلم الذاتي لدى طلبة الجامعة الأردنية، وإجراء دراسات أخرى جديدة بتصميمات وأدوات قياس مختلفة، لبحث أثر استخدام برمجية تعليمية محوسبة في مواد منوعة ولمستويات دراسية مختلفة. \u0000الكلمات المفتاحية: البرمجية التعليمية المحوسبة، القراءة، الكتابة، مهارات التعلم لذاتي.","PeriodicalId":346972,"journal":{"name":"The Arab Journal for Quality Assurance and Higher Education","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122331082","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Level of Application of the Governance Principles in Yemeni Universities: A Comparative Study between Private and Government Universities 也门大学治理原则的应用水平:私立大学与公立大学的比较研究

The study aimed to identify the level of application of the governance principles in Yemeni universities from the point of view of faculty members and academic leaders. The research followed the descriptive / analytical method, and the questionnaire was used as a research tool. The sample consisted of (94) academic leaders and faculty members of the Universities of Sana'a and Science and Technology: (36) participants from Sana’a and (58) from Science and Technology. The results showed that the sample’s degree of assessment of the level of application of governance principles at Sana'a University was low with an average of (2.1056); the dimension of fairness came first and the dimension of participation received the last rank. Further, the sample’s assessment degree of the level of application of the governance principles at the University of Science and Technology was high with an average of (3.8198); the dimension of responsibility received the first rank, and the dimension of participation received the last rank. There were statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members in favor of the University of Science and Technology in all areas of governance. The study recommended that government universities should strive to implement the governance principles in order to increase their efficiency, effectiveness, competitiveness and quality of services. Also, private universities should strive to apply the governance principles to ensure their continuity, competitiveness and quality.
这项研究的目的是从教师和学术领袖的角度确定也门大学管理原则的应用程度。本研究采用描述/分析方法,以问卷调查为研究工具。样本包括(94)名萨那大学和科技大学的学术领导和教职员工;(36)名来自萨那的参与者和(58)名来自科技大学的参与者。结果表明,样本对萨那大学治理原则应用水平的评价程度较低,平均为(2.1056);公平维度排在第一位,参与维度排在最后。此外,样本对科技大学治理原则应用水平的评价程度较高,平均为(3.8198);责任维度排在第一位,参与维度排在最后一位。样本成员在支持科技大学的所有治理领域的平均得分之间存在统计学上的显著差异。研究建议,政府大学应努力落实管治原则,以提高效率、效益、竞争力和服务质素。此外,私立大学应努力运用治理原则,以确保其连续性、竞争力和质量。

The Quality of Work Life for Faculty Members at Jordan University of Science and Technology 约旦科技大学教职员工的工作生活质量

This study aimed at identifying the quality of work life for faculty members at Jordan University of Science and Technology from their perspective. To achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire was developed, which consisted of (35) items and was divided into six dimensions: leadership style, stability and job security, career promotion, salaries and remuneration, the balance between university work and social life, professional development (training and education).The questionnaire was distributed to the sample of the study, which consisted of (420) faculty members during the first semester (2018/2019). After conducting the statistical analysis of the data, the major results of the study were as follows: The quality of work life of the faculty members at Jordan University of Science and Technology was very high for all dimensions and the questionnaire as a whole. There were statistically significant differences due to the gender variable for all the dimensions of study and the tool as a whole in favor of (females) except for the dimensions of stability and job security and balance between university work and social life. There were also  statistically significant differences due to the academic rank for all dimensions of the study and the tool as a whole in favor of (the associate professor, and assistant professor). The study recommended further studies on the subject of quality of work life of the faculty members in other Jordanian universities with other independent variables. 本研究旨在从约旦科技大学教师的角度来确定他们的工作生活质量。为了达到研究的目的,我们编制了一份问卷,共35个条目,分为六个维度:领导风格、稳定性和工作保障、职业晋升、工资和报酬、大学工作与社会生活的平衡、专业发展(培训和教育)。该问卷被分发给了研究样本,其中包括第一学期(2018/2019)的420名教职员工。在对数据进行统计分析后,研究的主要结果如下:约旦科技大学教职员工的工作生活质量在各维度和问卷整体上都很高。除了稳定性和工作保障以及大学工作与社会生活的平衡外,由于性别变量的影响,研究和工具的所有维度总体上都有利于(女性)。由于研究的所有维度的学术排名和工具整体上有利于(副教授和助理教授),也存在统计学上显著的差异。研究报告建议进一步研究约旦其他大学教师的工作生活质量问题,并提出其他独立变量。关键词:工作生活质量,教职员工,约旦科技大学
