The research article tried to highlight the impact of microfinance on women’s empowerment in the context of Nepal and the impact of COVID-19 on the business and economic sustainability of microfinance in Nepal. In this paper, the history of microfinance and the link between microfinance and women’s empowerment has been discussed comprehensively. Apart from that in the wider phenomenon of women empowerment, the theories on woman empowerment have been explained. The research gap here is stated as the effect of COVID-19 on these two topic variables. The methodology here was a descriptive design and conceptual framework to discuss the basic links between these two research variables. The challenges of human empowerment in Nepal, the influence of microfinancing in increasing the living standard of women, the economic effects of COVID-19 on females and the performance of MSI with rising Covid 19 effects have been discussed.

The significant role of human resources creates a necessity for organizations to formulate and develop the human resource management practices in the best interest of the employees. It is observed that human resource management practices pose significant impact on the job satisfaction and retention of talented employees in the industry. HRM practices proclaimed as a system that attracts, develops, motivates, and retains employees to ensure the effective implementation and the survival of the organization. The present paper is undertaken to study the perception of employees in the selected textile units of Punjab.The paper is an attempt to document the impact of different human resource management practices on the job satisfaction of employees in the textile industry and to find influential HRM practices as per the perception of the employees.It further examines the influence of human resource practices on the job satisfaction of employees. The results showed that Compensation and Promotion, Organizational Culture, Selection and Training, Performance Appraisal, Grievance redressal and Support and Development are the major HRM practices that leads to job satisfaction in textile industry.

KNOWLEDGE CREATION PROCESS FOR ORGANIZATIONAL CREATIVITY AND PERFORMANCE IN NEPALESE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY 尼泊尔酒店业组织创造力和绩效的知识创造过程

This paper analyses the relationships between the knowledge creation process and organizational creativity; organizational creativity and organizational performance in the hospitality industry such as hotel, travel and trekking agencies in Nepal. The study is based on primary data with 382 responses. The self-administered questionnaires were used to collect the perceptive opinions from the respondents. The study concludes that the key knowledge creation process such as socialization, externalization, combination and internalization do influence to the organizational creativity positively and organizational creativity influences to the organizational performance positively. Managers should promote socialization, externalization, combination, internalization and creativity for employees to get better organizational performance.

THE EFFECTS OF REMITTANCE ON ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NEPAL 汇款对尼泊尔经济增长的影响

The cross-border movement of workers has increased with the enactment of economic liberalization policy, especially after the 1990s in Nepal and increasing globalization in the world. It opened the door to the Nepalese workers in abroad, making their remittance one of the prime sources of foreign exchange earning in Nepal. Consequently, solving the problem of unemployment, remittance become the major contributor in Nepalese economy accelerating overall economic growth of the country; it is the major source of financial savings and thereby investment and growth. Despite the increasing importance of remittance in Nepalese economy, the overall impact of remittance on economic growth has not been adequately explored yet. This paper analyzes the effects of remittances on the economic growth of Nepal. Previous studies have found mixed results regarding to impact of remittances on economy- i.e. positive effects as well as negative effects of remittance on economic growth. So, this paper examines which effect is predominant in Nepalese context. The multiple regression model (OLS) is employed in the study in order to identify the effects of remittances on economic growth of Nepal. The time series secondary data for 20 years, 2001-2020, are collected from various published sources. This study concludes that there is positive and significant relationship between remittance and economic growth in Nepal. The impacts of other control variables, government expenditure and export trade are also positive for growth. However, expenses made on human capital has lagged effect, making insignificant in short run. The government of Nepal and concerned agencies should provide skill development trainings for the Nepalese migrants to increase their income in host countries. Government should encourage migrants to send remittances only from formal banking channels. It even helps for capital formation, investment and economic growth. It also solves the liquidity crisis and foreign exchange constraints in the nation, promoting the infrastructure development on the nation.

This study examines the effect of talent management practices on the employee performance of the commercial banks of Nepal. The author examines the mediating effect of employee engagement on the relationship between talent management practices and employee performance. A stratified simple random sampling technique was employed to enable select the respondents from the three strata and data were collected from 300 employees working in Nepalese commercial banks. A structured questionnaire containing standard scales of talent management practices, employee engagement, employee performance, and some demographic variables was used. Harman’s one-factor test was conducted to test the common method biased. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling approach were used to analyze mediating effect. Three factors, namely talent attraction, talent development, and talent retention were identified as the talent management practices in Nepalese commercial banks, predicting the positive relationship of talent management practice to employee performance. Employee engagement mediates the relationship between talent management practices and employee performance. This study contributes to the resource-based views and social exchange theory and attempts to fulfill the gap in empirical research on personal psychology, human capital/ and organizational management in developing countries.
