The research article tried to highlight the impact of microfinance on women’s empowerment in the context of Nepal and the impact of COVID-19 on the business and economic sustainability of microfinance in Nepal. In this paper, the history of microfinance and the link between microfinance and women’s empowerment has been discussed comprehensively. Apart from that in the wider phenomenon of women empowerment, the theories on woman empowerment have been explained. The research gap here is stated as the effect of COVID-19 on these two topic variables. The methodology here was a descriptive design and conceptual framework to discuss the basic links between these two research variables. The challenges of human empowerment in Nepal, the influence of microfinancing in increasing the living standard of women, the economic effects of COVID-19 on females and the performance of MSI with rising Covid 19 effects have been discussed.

Customer satisfaction is an emotion a person experiences when comparing the perceived overall performance of a product to their expectations. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of convenience, cost, privacy, security and responsiveness of mobile banking in customer satisfaction in Commercial Banks in Nepal. This research adopts a quantitative design wherein primary data were collected through a survey in the form of structured questionnaire distributed among 201 respondents having access of mobile banking services offered by Commercial Banks in Nepal. Pearson Correlation Matrix suggested by Levin et al., (2014) was used for statistical analysis; the results derived from the research showed Convenience, Cost, Security, and Responsiveness are significant drivers of Customer Satisfaction of Commercial Banks in Nepal. This research will be useful to higher management of the banks in developing effective strategies for mobile banking services as well as to retain their customers. Furthermore, Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank of Nepal) might be enthusiastic to identify the prevailing problems and technical as well as non-technical barriers concerned with the adoption of the mobile banking on customer satisfaction which will facilitate them to take necessary steps to eradicate barriers and to implement effective policies accordingly.

The research has used primary sources of data. A well-structured questionnaire was designed to collect data from 250 respondents. The convenience sampling technique was used to select a sample for the study. Moreover, Cronbach’s Alpha was assessed to test reliability. The correlational and casual research designs were used. The findings revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between peers’ influence and parents’ influence on the saving behavior of Nepalese youth and peers’ influence and parents’ influence have a significant impact on the saving behavior of Nepalese youth. This study is useful for those saving behavior seekers as parents’ influence is a major factor in many facets of life in Nepalese communities. Children are taught to respect their parents and they have the power and obligation. Since parents have such a big impact on young people, they should seize the chance to let their kids watch them practice good saving habits as a way of preparing them for life in the adult world.

This research highlights the issues, negotiation and consensus process of a local community confrontations with the commercial as well as development projects that are to be started in a particular location, especially in the places where there are lots of conflicts and misunderstanding between project holders, development entrepreneurs and local communities. This research is based on a case study of the 7.5 MW ‘Bhujung Hydropower Project’ located at Lamjung district, Gandaki province of Nepal. Data collected through primary survey, focus group discussion and personal interviews of purposively contacted samples are deeply analyzed applying qualitative, descriptive and narrative methods. This study result shows that it is necessary to pre-allocate the budget that would be necessary in the future to develop secondary mini-project for local community beneficiary development activities of that community to address issues based on economic development that would arise during FGD period in order to execute primary entrepreneurial or development projects properly through consensus. This study concludes that the best strategy to execute community consensus in the society by any development or entrepreneurial project based organizations is to look after basic community needs as well as factors influencing the path of community consensus while undertaking any project based developmental activities.

Start-up Entrepreneurship is crucial for the promotion of research, innovative systems, and self-employment. Entrepreneurs with high potential and calibre are scarce and precious human resources for the country. This paper examines the role played by the Indian start-ups for innovation and economic development, opportunities, and challenges considering start up survival. This research is descriptive in nature, we have studied the need, significance, and impact of start-ups on economic and innovation development, and also will investigate the causes and obstacles of the start-ups in India. Our analysis uses statistical techniques to examine the start-ups as the major success factor for an entrepreneur in India. We have evaluated the positive impact of start-ups on the economic and innovation development of the nation. There were larger policy implications for the promotion of this important sector. Start-ups are basically open organizations, certainly engaged in innovation processes. Research at the intersection between start-ups, innovation, and economic development is in demand. This study examines the impact of ethical behavior on employee performance in Nepalese commercial banks. Based on primary data, the study examined relations of ethical behavior with employee performance in the sample banks. Structured questionnaires on quantitative data were used to gather data from 150 respondents selected by using the random sampling method. The regression model was used to test the significance and effect of ethical behavior on employee performance in Nepalese commercial banks. The correlation and regression results of the study have shown teamwork and leadership style, reward and punishment, discipline having positive impacts on employee performance. However, the results show racial discrimination related negatively to trigger low employee performance in the commercial banks of Nepal. Similarly, corruption has a negative impact on employee performance. In this way, the study argues significant relations and impact of ethical behaviors on employee performance in conclusion.

The COVID-19 pandemic has spread to nearly every nation around the world. As governments struggle with lockdown measures to control the virus spread, national economies and businesses are affected by loss. Nepal also suffered from corona virus and has surpassed all the expectations. As sanitizer demand increased many sanitizer manufacturing companies were facing difficulty in supplying adequate sanitizers in market which create panic hoarding. Also newly emerged sanitizer companies were taking undue advantages of the spiked market demands by selling low quality hand sanitizers and exposing consumers to buying such products. The main purpose of this study was to find out how a pandemic affected brand preference in purchase decision of hand sanitizer in Kathmandu, Nepal. For collecting empirical data, PMO Model was built on basic of branding theory and the consumer behavior theory. Qualitative approaches were used for research and analysis where sixteen semi-structured interviews were conducted with Nepalese customers. The findings indicate aspects of price, quality, risk and loyalty were tied to the pandemic within the context of the health aspect of the COVID-19 virus. While large shifts have been preferred in sanitizer brands due to unavailable of stocks, there are also large changes in health consciousness and qualitative demands on sanitizer brands due to the pandemic affecting brand preference
