This text is an answer to Daniel Garber’s article. In the reply, I challenge the idea that the dynamics is a parallel project, incompatible with the monadological project. To criticize this position, I present the importance of the conceptualization of action from Dynamica de potentia (1690) and its implications for the monadological metaphysics itself.

El agua como derecho humano 水是一项人权

Las guerras de agua en Bolivia en el año 2000 por los contratos de Bechtel para privatizar su suministro en la ciudad de Cochabamba impulsaron a la Conferencia Episcopal Boliviana a responder con dos importantes aplicaciones teológicas del pensamiento social católico a las cuestiones del agua como un derecho humano y a la administración ambiental. El carácter sacramental del agua, así como su importancia para la vida misma, se aplican de manera única en estas declaraciones que sostienen con argumentos teológicos que nunca se puede permitir que el agua sea una mercancía. La nueva constitución de Bolivia y las leyes de la madre tierra buscan aplicar aún más el principio del agua como un derecho humano a los derechos colectivos de los pueblos indígenas del país a poseer sus tierras ancestrales e incluso a otorgar personalidad jurídica a la naturaleza misma. This article presents humor as enacting an intra-personal communication particularly apt for the philosophic (self) education that lies at the heart of the practice of philosophy. It explains the epistemological and ethical outcomes of a systematic use of self-referential laughter. It argues for the benefits of a worldview predicated on acknowledging human ridicule, Homo risibilis, comparing it with other approaches to the human predicament.

This is a translation note on the ecdotic process that supports Leibniz’s Spanish translation of the epistolary manuscript Apocatastasis Panton. First, Leibniz’s concern for trans lation will be exposed, then what ecdotics is and what its scope is in terms of interpretation to legitimize both a translation and a reading. Finally, the philological route of the manuscript and its translations is shown, as well as the philosophical route.
