Traffic accident causality analysis is an important aspect in the traffic safety research field. Based on data survey and statistical analysis, a Bayesian network for traffic accident causality analysis was developed. The structure and parameter of the Bayesian network was learnt with K2 algorithm and Bayesian parameter estimation respectively. With the Junction Tree algorithm, the effect of road cross-section on the accident casualties was inferred. The results show that the Bayesian network can express the complicated relationship between the traffic accident and the causes, as well the correlations among the factors of causes. The results of analysis provide the valuable information on how to reveal the traffic accident causality mechanisms and how to take effective measures to improve the traffic safety situations.

People spend a lot of money to keep healthy. So health problem has affected investors’ earnings and their decision of asset allocation. By means of thinking about the relative effect of health problem this paper proposed an optimization model and solved it in single period. Meanwhile an empirical demonstration about the relationship between life expectancy and social cost was adopted. After discussion we believe that health factors may increase the volatility of wage income, thereby reduce investors’ allocation ratio on risk asset; but when wage income risk is independent on investment return, investors will increase investment ratio. The main innovation of this paper is that decomposing the cost of health, building a model of asset allocation by the way of health factors and solving it in single period.

In this article, spatial coordinate system is established to analyze the measured data. It is of great significance for us to research security problems in the power system. After choosing static security, related theories and methods to be main research object, we calculate power flow and use transferring load as safety countermeasures for power restoration at the same time. Here, we select the Newton method. Then, making the static analysis module of PSASP as the electric power system simulation software to apply in analyzing power flow and N-1 open circuit, which is under the biggest operation in petrochemical system. At last, we get related overload information in order to inspect whether the operation method and the connection mode of SINOPEC network is safe, and facilitate the ability of risking given accident, and take corrective actions at last.

A math model on planetary gear is built based on deterministic optimization method. The minimum volume of planetary gear is chosen as optimization objective. Teeth number of sun gear, face width, module and gear number are chosen as design variable. Applying Monte Carlo method robustness on the planetary gear is analyzed. Robustness analysis is included in probability distribution of objective and constraints, while design variables are considered as independently random variables of normal distribution. It is shown that planetary gear based on the deterministic optimization method is not robust when design variables show a slight variation. Precise of design variables is set up again based on the robustness analysis conclusion, and robustness on planetary gear is improved to meet design requirements.

A metagraph is a graphical construction that has been shown to be very useful to graphical visualization and quantitative analysis. In this paper, a Metagraph–based supply chain modeling method for discrete manufacturing industry was proposed. Then a set of metrics of the supply chain overall risk was given, and the algorithms for calculating the risk based on Metagraph model was proposed. Finally, a case study was given to validate our method. The calculating results show that it is a very effective quantitative appraisal method before the supply chain has actually been constructed.

Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) study on the tyrosinase inhibition activities of hydroxy- or methoxy-substituted benzaldoximes and benzaldehyde-O-alkyloximes was performed using support vector machines (SVM) method. The predictive power of the models was verified with the leave one out cross validation test and independent test methods. The cross validation squared correlation coefficient value for optimal SVM model was 0.6880. Compared with stepwise multiple linear regression and back propagation artificial neural network models, the SVM model was the most powerful with a square of predictive correlation coefficient of 0.6117 for the test set.

With the rapid development of computer, insecurity factors(such as computer virus, hacker) influences the development of MIS, safety risk evaluation has been an important task. This paper describes a risk evaluation method for MIS based on fuzzy set theory which uses linguistic variables and respective fuzzy numbers to evaluate the factors. The primary weights of factors and evaluation of alternatives are determined by applying linguistic variables and fuzzy numbers. The notion of Shapely value is used to determine the global value of each factor in accomplishing the overall objective of the risk evaluation process, so the primary weights are revised, thus the importance of factors can be reflected more precisely. A major advantage of the method is that it allows experts and engineers to express their opinions on safety risk evaluation in linguistic variables rather than crisp values. An illustration is presented to demonstrate the application of the method in risk evaluation. The results are consistent with the results calculated by conventional risk evaluation method.
