The traditional Cascaded Integrator Comb (CIC) filter is introduced at first, and its pass-band attenuation and mirror-aliasing can not meet the requirements of the GSM radio remote unit (RRU) system. Then a compensation technique, Interpolated Second Order Polynomial (ISOP) method, is studied to improve the frequency response of the traditional CIC filter, which can enhance the performance in pass-band. However, this kind of filter will reduce the attenuation in stop-band at the same time. In order to deal with this problem, this paper proposes Cosine filter, which is cascaded before CIC-ISOP to implement pre-filtering. By analyzing frequency characteristics, this cascaded filter enlarges the attenuation in stop-band and sharpens the transition band. With this method, we can obtain the improved and ideal magnitude response, and the results of this approach come up to the requirements of GSM RRU system.

In order to improve the performance of 16 V280 diesel engine, the three-dimensional numerical models of the flow field in the nozzle which belongs to the injection system was built, and different detailed flow structures was captured under different pressure conditions. Through the analysis of the flow field, the unsuitable position of the nozzle was located, and the methods which combine CAD / CAM / CFD were used to optimize the structure of the nozzle. The analysis results indicate that with the increase of the injection pressure; the flow turbulence intensity increase; the more energy get lost, which caused by turbulence; the coefficient of flow decrease. After the spray nozzle structure was changed into sphere pin valve, the current capacity under the same level of injection pressure was improved greatly.

In order to improve the performance of 16V240ZJB diesel engine, the method of steady flow test and CFD numerical simulation was adopted to do intake port structure optimization study. The previous design model of intake port was tested in the steady flow experiment system which provided the boundary condition for simulation calculation. The three-dimensional CAD model of intake port was built and then it was putted into AVL–FIRE platform to do CFD simulation with appropriate turbulence models and calculation methods. The detailed information of air flow field and discharge coefficient, swirl ratio of intake port was obtained by CFD simulation. Then the previous intake port structure was optimized to improve intake port performance. The research shows that CFD simulation is an efficient way to design engine intake port; Air flow condition is complex in the intake port and the parts nearing valve seat. Two improvement programs were discussed in this paper that can increase the air flux and improve the air flow condition.

In this paper, a new robust corner detection method is proposed for detecting and localizing corners of planar curves. First, edges are extracted using a canny detector. Then, a local line detector is developed, and edge-pixels are labeled on the basis of the information provided by the local line detector. After egde labeling, the approximate location of the corners are determined. Finally, the minimum moments of the phase congruency information is used at a local window to determine the accurate location of corners. The advantage of the proposed method is that it does not involve calculation of the curvature and the threshold value. Experimental results demonstrate it is particularly effective for natural images, and possesses a high detection rate than the present methods.

Ground source heat pump (GSHP) technology is regarded as an effective technology for energy saving in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, which is being boosted greatly in China. The sustainable development of GSHP system requires to quantitatively analyze from the aspects such as economic, social and environmental benefits. In this paper, as the cases of 3 different cooling and heating systems such as GSHP, air source heat pump (ASHP) and air-cooled chiller for cooling and boiler for heating for an office building in Guangzhou, China. The emergy analysis of the each case was conducted and its emergy sustainability indices were established. The results show that the competitiveness of the GSHP system is no advantage to the air-cooled chiller for cooling and boiler for heating system and ASHP system, but its pressure to the environment is obviously smaller. The GSHP system has more sustainable performance than the other two systems due to make use of the renewable energy of geothermal heat.

A frame-level synchronization (FLS) algorithm for the UWB differential transmitted-reference (DTR) receiver is designed and analyzed in this paper. In DTR systems, the detector computes the decision statistic by correlating pulses from adjacent frames and summing the contributions from the entire frame of a symbol. Symbol-level synchronization is not enough for data modulation single the position of low duty cycle signal in each frame is still unknown. The algorithm which we proposed has a moderate accuracy but a very low complexity and fast synchronization speed compared with conventional approaches requiring subnanosecond-level accuracy. Detailed analysis of the algorithm is carried out based on our in-depth analysishis.

To improve the quality of the self-lubricating spherical plain bearing, a new technology of Two-way neck forming process for the manufacture of the self-lubricating spherical plain bearing was brought out. The shape of the bearing out ring blank was optimized by the parametric finite element method to minimize the necking force in the bearing neck forming process. The two-way necking die was designed and the necking experiment was carried out. The result shows that two-way neck forming process can produce the spherical plain bearing successfully and avoid the defects caused by One-way neck forming process in finished bearing. The shape optimization method for the bearing can decrease the necking force during the neck forming process dramatically.

This paper presents design principles of a low-power and portable bioelectrical impedance analyzer. Based on the low-power and portable notion, It uses a low-power computer as the core, adopting MSP430F149 chip as the processor and utilizing AD5933 which is launched by Analog Devices and is highly integrated to measure and collect the multi-frequency impedance information.
