Shortening Effect in Near Point Distance by Using RGB Color LED Lighting 使用RGB彩色LED照明缩短近点距离的效果

2014年に我が国の科学者がノーベル賞を受賞した青色 InGaN 系 LED の発明により,LED は高効率長寿命の照明光源として 普及している.現経済産業省の主導で2003年度まで実施された「高 効率電光変換化合物半導体開発」プロジェクトにおいては, InGaN 系 LED のエネルギー効率 WPE が14~40%以上にまで向上 し,今日では国を挙げて LED 照明の普及が推進されている.照 明用 LED 光源の性能は,今日まで高い発光効率と自然光に近い 演色性と色度の実現に注力した開発が行われてきた。現在,照明 用 LED 光源には青色 LED チップの青色光と YAG:Ce 系蛍光体 の黄色光との混色による擬似白色の高効率白色 LEDが主に用い られている. 白色 LED には赤・緑・青・黄橙色の LED チップを搭載したマ ルチチップタイプも開発されているが,発光スペクトルが狭く欠 落波長域が広いことに起因して演色性が低いので,照明光源には 不向きと考えられてきた.しかし,各色を細かく制御すること でフルカラー発光が可能になるため,赤・緑・青の RGB 色 LED のマルチチップタイプ白色 LED や各色 LED を個別搭載したモ ジュールが,LCD のバックライト用光源や LED ディスプレイ, 道路表示板などの表示装置に多用されている. 本稿では,RGB 色 LED を用いた照明の照射光の下においては, 焦点調節できる最短の視距離である近点距離を短縮する効果が得 られることを,実験結果により報告する.近点距離は老視によっ て伸長するので,高齢化社会においては RGB 色 LED を用いた照 明の活用が有効であると考えられる.また,近点距離の短縮要因 についてはいまだ明解な答えが得られてはいないが,解析を試み た結果について報告する.

Estimation of Discomfort Glare Rating for Automotive Red LED Lamps 汽车红色LED灯不适眩光等级的估算

To examine the quantitative relationship between the degree of discomfort glare and a number of photometric quantities, experiments were conducted using red LED lamps for automotive lighting devices. Illuminance at the observer’s eye and effective glare luminance proposed by Tashiro et al. were employed as photometric quantities. The results show that the illuminance at the observer’s eye denotes the same tendency as the results of previous study. However, the results of effective glare luminance show different trends. Using a discomfort glare evaluation formula with effective glare luminance, the results of this study and Tashiro’s study were compared. The results showed a strong correlation between the evaluation and estimation values of discomfort glare. This means that the discomfort glare rating for any LED sources can be satisfactorily estimated.

Establishment of Highly Accurate Linearity Evaluation Method for Array Spectroradiometer Using Flux Addition Method 用通量加法法建立阵列光谱仪高精度线性度评价方法

A Linearity measurement of array spectroradiometer is of great importance in the fi elds of photometry, radiometry, and thermometry. An accurate linearity measurement system with the flux addition method has been developed to evaluate linearity characteristics of array spectroradiometer. A nonlinear behavior of 4 % for an array spectroradiometer in the visible light was measured with reproducibility of less than 0.2 %. This result enables us to correct the nonlinear behavior of the array spectroradiometer and contributes to highly accurate optical measurements.

This study aims to explain as quantitatively as possible the readability of Japanese characters in terms of certain elements in the multidimensional, and rather qualitative, space of font design. Based on a review of previous studies, two main dimensions have been selected as the most infl uential on readability; the relative character size in the bounding box, which we call style, and the stroke width, which we call weight (when discussed in a categorical way). The Gothic fonts were chosen as the target because they are well known to be the most legible. Behavioral evaluations of readability were conducted instead of subjective judgments. In accordance with the reading acuity measurement MNREAD-J, short and easy-to-read sentences were presented to participants, and the time required to read them aloud was recorded along with any reading errors; this provided three readability indices. Sentences were rendered in one of 12 different fonts consisting of four kinds of style-Old, Standard, Modern, and UD-times three weight levels-Light, Regular, and Bold. Findings for the style suggest that the enlargement of relative size represents a tradeoff with narrowed inter-letter spacing. This means that good legibility of single letter design may not result in good readability of letters in sentences. However, the weight had a notable effect especially in small sizes. Two readability indices were predicted relatively well by participants’ acuity and stroke width. The effect of stroke width had a ceiling between 10 and 15 % of the letter size.

Spectral Dependence of Nonlinearity for Silicon Photodiodes 硅光电二极管非线性的光谱依赖性

The nonlinearities of two silicon photodiodes (Si PDs) in visible and infrared light were experimentally measured in an optical power range from nanowatts to milliwatts. Spectral supralinearities for a Si PD were clearly observed in visible and infrared visible light. This resulted from a decrease in the recombination loss of the generated photocurrent ratio in the silicon-bulk region or the interface between the Si bulk and the silicon dioxide. These experimentally measured results are adequate for correcting the responsivity of Si PDs in a wide optical power range and predicting the spectral supralinear behaviours.

夜間道路などの薄暗い,いわゆる薄明視レベルの環境下におい て,ヒトの目の網膜上の錐体と桿体が同時に働くため,分光感度 は短波長側にシフトすることが知られている.これはプルキンエ 現象とよばれている. 現在の測光技術は,錐体の分光感度である明所視分光視感度に 基づいて,輝度および照度を定義している.そのため夜間道路な ど薄明視環境下において,既存の測光技術を用いると,白色 LED などの短波長放射を多く含んだ光源は,その照明効果を過 小評価される危険性がある. この問題を解決し,薄明視レベルの分光視感度に合わせた薄明 視測光技術を国際標準化するために,CIE は2010年にそれ以前に 提案されていた Unifi ed system of photometry (USP)と Mesopic Optimization of Visual Effi ciency System (MOVE)とを統合した MES2を標準化した.上述の薄明視測光技術は,薄明視輝度を計 算する際に,薄明視レベルの光源の有効性を代表する指数として, 明所視輝度に対する暗所視輝度の比(S/P 比)を用いる.この S/P 比が高い光源は薄明視レベルでの有効性が高い.このため, S/P 比の高い光源を選定することにより,空間の明るさを向上さ せること,路面の障害物を検出しやすくすることが可能である. このことは,交通の安全性の向上あるいは照明システムの効率の 向上につながる. しかし,一般に短波長放射を多く含むと光源の S/P 比は高くな るが,一方で光源の相関色温度は高くなるため青白い光色になる. その結果,道路空間に違和感を持つ場合がある. そのため,本研究は,相関色温度を抑えながら S/P 比を高める ように試作した LED 光源を用いて,その光源を道路照明に用い た時の空間の明るさ感,光源のまぶしさ,色や白線の見やすさな どに関する有効性を実環境で実証することを目的として,その試 作光源と S/P 比および相関色温度がそれぞれ異なる2種類の LED 光源とを比較する実験を行った.
据悉,在夜间道路等昏暗的,即所谓的薄明视水平的环境下,由于人眼视网膜上的视锥细胞和视杆细胞同时工作,光谱灵敏度会向短波长方向偏移,这被称为plukiner现象。目前的测光技术是根据视锥细胞的光谱灵敏度即明所视光谱灵敏度来定义亮度和照度的。因此,在夜间道路等薄明视环境下,如果采用现有的测光技术,就会出现白色LED含有大量等短波长辐射的光源,其照明效果有被过度评价的危险。为了解决这一问题,使符合薄明水平光谱视灵敏度的薄明视测光技术成为国际标准化,CIE是在2010年之前提出的Unifi photometry ed system (USP)和Mesopic Optimization of Visual Effi ciency将整合了System (MOVE)的MES2标准化。上述薄明视测光技术在计算薄明视亮度时,作为代表薄明视水平光源有效性的指数,采用暗处亮度与明视亮度之比(S/P比)。S/P比高的光源在薄明视水平下的效能高。通过选择S/P比高的光源,可以提高空间亮度,便于检测路面障碍物,从而提高交通的安全性,提高照明系统的效率。但是,一般来说,如果含有大量短波长辐射,光源的S/P比就会变高,但另一方面,由于光源的相关色温变高,就会产生青白色的光色,结果在道路空间中会产生违和感。因此,本研究采用了在抑制相关色温的同时提高S/P比的试制LED光源,将该光源用于道路照明时的空间亮度感、光源的耀眼度、颜色和白线的易看性等。为了在实际环境中验证度相关的有效性,对试作光源与S/P比及相关色温分别不同的2种LED光源进行了比较实验。
