This research was conducted in order to evaluate the technical and managerial procedures practiced by a company that carried out the bauxite mining, according to the reference coordinates 23S 343200/7587100, in the municipality of Poços de Caldas – Minas Gerais, with regard to its proposals contained in its Degraded Areas Recovery Plan. The methodology adopted was carried out in four distinct phases: bibliographic research, field data survey through technical visit, analysis of its Degraded Area Recovery Plan and use of geoprocessing techniques for the preparation of two maps: Digital Terrain Model and Slope Map, both prepared by ArcGIS, version 10.3. In addition, aerial images were used in order to compare over the years 2005, 2007, 2015 and 2017. The results obtained recommend topographic leveling actions. The smoothing of the area was not effective, which caused erosive processes present in certain cultivated areas, directly affecting the development of local vegetation. In relation to the techniques of exploitation and reforestation, it was noted that the company adhered to extremely common procedures in the region, such as the use of the method of open pit mining and reforestation with eucalyptus plantations.

The field research of this paper was developed at the end of 2018 to survey EV mobility. Qualitative trends were based on indicators developed by consulting firm research reports, quantitative figures were developed using fuel cost values of 4,5 R$/liter. The analysis was divided in three steps: a) evidence of public planning, b) evidence of industry and industry 4.0 systems, and c) evidence of market. Main results of the research are: a) no electric mobility planning was found form institutional evidences. No planning for Smart City initiative in Brasilia, b) no evidence of electric systems and innovation are developed or planned (i.e Industry 4.0 automated drive systems). c) opportunities in market found are: main metropolitan area is worth some three million inhabitants, almost seven including surrounding metropolitan areas with millions vehicles to be converted to ev, public transportation and urban delivery most interesting niches of market; threats: no fiscal incentives and infrastructure of electric posts able to sustain car supply, no offer for electric/hybrid cars and conversion kits. This part of an external strategic analysis give the orientation to develop urban transportation vehicles and buses (public transportation) taxi, buses, vans, light trucks and motorcycles ,used for delivery, offers. These are interesting segments mostly because of increasing operational cost mainly due to gasoline costs.

Porang flour is known to contain high glucomannan so that it can be beneficial in health. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of porang flour absorbing on decreasing sugar absorbent in the digestive system. The study was conducted through two experimental studies, the first through the Meal Tolerance Test (MTT) and the second through the reverse intestinal test. Giving porang flour consists of 3 doses of 0,3 g, 0,4 g and 0,5 g / kg BW respectively and using Wistar strain white rat test animals. The results of research through MTT found that increasing the consumption of porang flour consumption can significantly reduce rat blood glucose levels at the end of the observation time of 120 minutes. While in the reverse bowel test, the results showed that an increase in the administration of porang flour in rat jejunum succeeded in reducing the absorption of reducing sugars in rat jejunum.

Gede catchment is the part of Bromo Volcano System. It is located in the Malang Regency, East Java Province. The wide of Gede Catchment is around 17 Km2. Landslide prone area mapping shows this area has high potential landslide around 52,9%. There were several landslides which had been occurred in this area. Based on the physical condition, this area is rather not appropriate for living. The aim of this research is to elaborate geomorphology approach as landslide assessment in the Gede Catchment. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative with survey technique. We assessed landslide based on the geomorphological approach and combined with the survey of landslide site. Based on the result shows that geomorphology is necessary factor for considering landslide assessment. Geomorphological approach is consist morphology, morphostructure, morphocronology, and morphoarrangement. The component of morphology is slope, component morphostructure and morphoarrangement is geomorphic process and for the component morphocronology is surface material and lithology. The four aspect of geomorphology become the keys for explain of landslide potential assessment. Geomorphology is the appropriate approach for landslide assessment in the Gede Catchment as the prone area for landslide. Otherwise, the potential of landslide will be difficult to determine if triggered by human activity or extreme rainfall.

A new method using PSO algorithm and skin color for the location and segmentation of face and facial features is proposed. In the preprocessing stage, segmented face image is obtained from initial color image. To achieve this goal, PSO algorithm is applied to search for the best face region. Then, based on the edge density of face image, eye region is located with PSO. Then, lips region is located using color component of skin segmentation. Finally, nose region is segmented based on the result of eyes and lips. The Simulation results show that this hybrid method is accurate and effective.

Background: Today`s fast-changing world and developments in health care system have indirect or direct effects on communication ethics. More and more unethical situations are faced by health care workers in their professional work. Thus, it is important to address the ethical aspects more seriously already in the learning environment. Objective: To describe and analyze students` opinions on ethical aspects in their learning environment, behaviours considered unethical by them and possible reasons behind it. Methods: The methodology combines theoretical and empirical parts, semistructured interviews conducted with 47 students were analysed. Results: Students emphasized lecturers' personal qualities to be more important than general learning environment and the importance of respectful communication was also considered essential. Unethical behaviour is seen as lack of respect and manners from all parties involved. Conclusions: Ethical behaviour and its various aspects should be included into the studies and discussed starting from the first course to ensure ethical learning environment and comminucation between academic staff and students.

This paper presents the potential use of interactive environments as learning and teaching tools for use in the therapy of children. It is expected that a new generation of children will increasingly use computer technology in a variety of contexts, including interactive robotic toys, digitally enhanced objects. New interactive systems and novel interfaces are also likely to impact on methods of therapy and rehabilitation. In particular, the physical shape and behaviour of socially intelligent agents, that display aspects of human-style social intelligence teach social intelligence to humans who have difficulties in understanding and displaying social behaviour. Toys are a major component in every child’s life and the need to develop toys that encourage communication is a common trend today. Toy companies in conjunction with technology giants are at the forefront of developing”intelligent” toys for the current and future generation. The purpose of the research is to understand the designs, effects, and consequences of using Artificial intelligence in the manufacturer of toys. artificially intelligence toys would be the perfect solution to monitor kids to keep them safe
