This article presents the definition of non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) proposed in 2023 by an international scientific society, the Non-Pharmacological Intervention Society (NPIS). The article specifies the scope of these prevention and care practices, based on a standardized ethical and scientific evaluation framework established in 2023 under the coordination of the NPIS. This framework makes it possible to establish a universal heritage of intangible, evidence-based prevention and care protocols, complementary to other conventional healthcare practices. A register of accredited protocols entitled normalized person-centered intervention will gradually be made available to physiotherapists.

Introduction
Discussion
NA.
Background
Postpartum perineal rehabilitation has shown its effectiveness to treat incontinence problems or dyspareunia. In France, it is carried out by physiotherapists or midwives. Currently, there are very few studies describing the choices of women regarding this rehabilitation. This project aimed to understand French mothers’ expectations and choices regarding their rehabilitation (realization or not, therapists).
Methods
This study combined a distribution of a survey questionnaire to French primiparous and multiparous women, followed by semi-structured interviews with women, who realized postpartum perineal rehabilitation within the previous two years.
Results
Among the 416 women who answered the questionnaire, 80% who had perineal rehabilitation consulted midwives. The seven women who took part in an interview expressed the importance of comprehensive care.
Discussion
These results are discussed in light of the literature and open up perspectives for improving the care of women in the health system.

Everyone sees the opening of the healthcare system to prevention, personalized medicine, digitalization and a global approach to health (OneHealth). It forces each health profession to point out its weaknesses and potentially to reinvent itself. For health professions working mainly through services such as physiotherapy, this opening has revealed an ambiguity between the notions of approach, method and technique. The article illustrates how the standardized model for evaluating non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) called NPI Model will be important to remove this ambiguity. Examples in the fields of respiratory rehabilitation and oncology will help to define the issues. Research in physiotherapy, digital platforms, ethics, initial and continuing training at NPI, multi-professional collaborations and the rating of protocols will be the pillars of response to these challenges for the discipline.
