The main purpose of this study is to characterize teaching strategies around family participation from the teacher's perspective with a cross-eye look between assistant principals and parents. The narrative method is used and data are gathered by using a semi-structured interview and an opinion survey. The sample consists of 17 teachers, 2 assistant principals, and 54 parents from two institutions. The results highlight three strategies: 1) collaboration with the school, 2) communication with the school, and 3) support for learning. It is suggested to generate effective alliances between teachers, parents, and principals through interaction spaces that allow sharing ideas, opinions, and experiences with input from families. It is concluded that teacher disposition to favor parental involvement in schools is key to accomplish the strategies used and that teaching actions are meaningful when they are aimed at enhancing parental involvement to improve student academic performance.

This study presents the design of a massive collaborative software development course by adapting web tools. The course integrates teaching software development and agile methodologies with project-based learning, allowing students to relate theory and practice. A case study is conducted with the participation of 475 students enrolled in a Node.JS and agile methodologies course. The results for the course and for the use of the tools applied are satisfactory, given the students’ final products, their perception of learning, and their effective completion rate of the massive course. In conclusion, the massive course designed here enables web development teaching in collaborative work teams, emulating an authentic environment by using project management platforms and repositories mediated by a learning management system.

The main objective of this study was to validate a questionnaire to measure organizational innovation in assembly companies (maquiladoras). Using a quantitative methodology with a non-experimental design, a measurement instrument was proposed with three types of organizational innovation: management innovation, commercial innovation, and process innovation. All of which were measured according to 17 indicators. The questionnaire was administered to a sample of 139 employees occupying administrative and managerial positions in 12 manufacturing companies located in Ciudad Obregón, Mexico. The results showed favorable values for Aiken's V, exploratory factor analysis, average extracted variance, and the Fornell-Larcker criterion. It is concluded that the indicators of the proposed questionnaire comply with content, construct, convergent, and discriminant validities, which denote an adequate initial validity to measure organizational innovation in manufacturing companies.
