The authors of this article use the concepts of agrilogistics (Timothy Morton) and the Plantationo-cene (Anna Tsing, Donna Haraway) to trace the connections between the development of civiliza-tion and the labor of human and non-human actors. Using the example of wheat and its entangle-ments with human history, they show how agrilogistics has enslaved human and non-human bod-ies, harnessing them to work for the development of patriarchal civilization, private property, cap-ital accumulation, etc. The proposed way out of agrilogistics is queer ecology, which transcends the heteronorm and establishes a different, communal, interspecies, positive biopolitics based on intersectional entanglements of humans and non-humans. The authors co-think these issues with several poets and artists: Marcin Ostrychacz, Szymon Szwarc, Edward Pasewicz, Iga Szczepanska, Alevtina Kakhid, and Teresa Tyszkiewicz. Key-words: agrilogistics, Plantationocene, wheat, queer ecology, interspecies intersectionality

This article offers a creative reading of the classic composition Imagine (1971) by Yoko Ono and John Lennon from the perspective of theoretical propositions associated with speculative realism, and in particular, with the concept of hyperobjects by Timothy Morton. As a result of the artistic-theoretical collaboration, the text includes a discussion of Rafał Zapała’s word and music works, which were created as part of a joint practical-theoretical workshop. They illustrate the titular practice of tuning, the idea of which is to change the visual perspective of interaction with the world – understood as the dominant way of experiencing reality – to a sonic one, allowing for a different participation in the surrounding environment. The project encourages the readers to re-spond creatively to the content of the article with instructions and tasks to perform on their own. We live in a time of planetary climate change. One of its elements is the sixth great extinction of species. The article talks about how difficult the relationship between humans and nature is in these times, citing the examples of three species from the Bovidae: the cow, the aurochs, and the bison. Critical issues of nature conservation in the Anthropocene are presented: restoration of extinct species, wildness, and capacity of ecosystems. Combining elements of scholarly discussion with artistic speculation, this article is an extensive story about the need to recognize the subjectivity of non-human beings for understanding current ecological problems. The readers are invited to participate in five speculative journeys with the Last Female Aurochs, and the guide is Golem – an open interpretive figure, a contribution to reflections on advancement, decline, and the struggle to reverse the world order. This article is a critical analysis of the representations of peasant men and women at the #heritage exhibition (National Museum in Krakow, 2017). It reflects on the exhibits displayed in the “#citizenry” section along with the descriptions included in the exhibition catalog. The author analyzes the presented images of the peasantry in a broader socio-cultural context, contradicting curatorial theses about the attractiveness of Polish culture to the peasantry and its presumed sense of citizenry, while demonstrating that the exhibited images contained other visions of citizenry than those described. The social character of the genre of the portrait and the “folk type,” through which most of the analyzed cases were presented, is also discussed. keywords: #heritage, peasant history, visual arts, photography, folk type, portrait

Using the examples of three performative shows created in line with the perspective proposed by the Polish right, this article discusses the right-wing condoned practice of discursively reinforcing national ideology. Orzeł i krzyż [The Eagle and the Cross], Wolność we krwi [Freedom in Blood] and Popiełuszko promote a particular vision of Polishness, suggesting that its traditional characteristics, still relevant today, are the ludic idyll, brave heroism and – inspired by religious ideals – self-sacrifice. The national narratives presented in the text are juxtaposed with the category of turbopatriotism described by Marcin Napiórkowski. A critical look at the politics of memory, implemented through the discussed artistic activities, allows the text to propose a diagnosis of “memory manipulation” (Marcin Król), which in the name of political interests that subordinate national narratives to the practice of retrotopia – through references to tradition, history, and religion – legitimizes conservative power. Keywords: nation, politics of memory, patriotism, retrotopia, power, discourse

This article describes the practice of entering mindfully into a relationship with plants, formulated by the Warsaw-based herbal studio Chwaściarnia [Weedshop]. It presents a several-stage herbal speculative method, developed with reference to the assumptions guiding contemporary posthu-manism. In the first part, the article addresses the practice of conscious breathing with plants, challenging the traditional anthropocentric paradigm of herbalism. It then discusses the successive stages of the method: sensory familiarization with the plant, the role of voice (including call and response), and the importance of performative incantations and murmurs. The problem of the rela-tionship between people and plants in contaminated areas is also addressed. An important part of the method described is speculation, which involves weaving a narrative about the plant and col-lectively creating its imaginative depiction. The practice ends with collating speculation with bo-tanical facts. This method combines mindfulness practices with the development of an approach based on knowledge and care. Key-words: herbal practice, postsecularism, mindfulness, relationality, knowledge and care

This article problematizes the interdisciplinary project Musica Posthumana in the context of Ka-ren Barad’s philosophy of agential realism. Using selected terminology proposed by the philoso-pher, the creators of the project describe the process of permeating the agency of the phenomena that comprise it and include reflection on the agency of non-human elements in the creative pro-cess. The motion capture technology used in the project will be analyzed through the prism of a research tool as understood by Karen Barad. Its status will be expanded from creating representa-tions to actively making sense and participating in the process of materializing relationships and meanings. The interlacing agency of the project’s sound, motion, and technological phenomena will be presented and described through intra-actions. The onto-epistemological status of the body in the technological environment will also be discussed. This paper proposes a mobile multimedia metropolitan area network (MM-MAN) which provides IP-based VPN connections between mobile terminals on business activities around metropolitan area, and LAN in their own home office. To make VPN circuit handed over on cell-by-cell traverse, a VPN agent exists in MM-MAN access networks, and VPN server in each office network. Tunneling between VPN server in LAN of home office, and VPN agent in the MM-MAN is used to support macro-mobility. To support high level business activities, all information which can reveal business activities should be hidden from the third party. To be neutral, private address is used as a source and destination in each VPN connection even to designate IP terminals in its own office, and is used even during the VPN setup to terminals in the Internet. Micro-mobility support for high-speed and high-bit rate terminals is a role of PON (passive optical network) as an access network. Multicast communication is used in a PON access network to construct logical macro-cell in order to allow smooth handover for high-speed terminal.

A novel call admission control (CAC) scheme using fuzzy interference for a wideband code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular system is proposed. The fuzzy CAC first estimates the newly arriving mobile station's (MS) effective bandwidth and its mobility information, and then makes a decision to accept or reject the MS's connection request based on the estimates and the system status. Numerical results are given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed fuzzy CAC scheme in terms of new call blocking probability, handoff call dropping probability, outage probability and resource utilization.
