In the work, a simulation model of a street lighting system with LED lighting was prepared. The model emulate the operation of the installation in a normal mode and when dimming the light flux. The development has a wide field of application - both for the study of energy efficiency under different control options, and for the evaluation of the distribution of current harmonics generated by the lighting installation.

In the first part of the report, a charging/discharging model of a Li-ion battery powered by an ideal DC voltage source is presented. The model allows the operation of the battery in two modes - grid to vehicle $(mathrm{G}2mathrm{V})$ and vehicle to grid $(mathrm{V}2mathrm{G})$. Switching between the two modes can be done at any time in both directions, while simultaneously adjusting (setting) the charge/discharge current of the battery. In this second part of the report, a brief overview of the technical parameters of EV batteries and charging stations, as well as the trends of their development and use, is made. In addition, the Li-ion battery charging/discharging model has been further developed, with the power supply being from the medium voltage grid and a transformer substation. A reversible inverter is added to the elements of the charging station, and a conventional load is also included to the substation. The model allows the station to operate in two modes: $mathrm{G}2mathrm{V}$ and $mathrm{V}2mathrm{G}$. The results of the simulations are presented.

This article aims to present possible criteria for evaluating scenarios for energy development, gives a discussion on their significance and proposes their qualitative descriptions. On the bases of an extensive literature review we prove that long- term energy planning and multi-criteria decision-making are enriched with using the scenario analysis.

This paper presents an overview of the Low Voltage Direct Current (LVDC) networks classification, paradigms, schemes, main technical solutions, equipment and technologies. Based on a literature survey, some of the most significant hindering factors for the widespread implementation of LVDC are outlined. Taking into account the current state of the art LVDC networks and gaps present, an analysis of the main future trends is performed. Furthermore, this study identifies difficulties and potential trends for LVDC adoption.

The report presents a simulation study of a hybrid SAVe CUBE marine power system that is parameterized with an existing ships architecture. Hybrid marine power systems are a new technical solution that raises new questions about power quality, electromagnetic compatibility and estimation of power and power losses. Their main purpose is to limit the spread of higher current and voltage harmonics, but the implementation of additional units is related to the use of advanced methods for analyzing electricity consumption. The results of the study can be useful for specialists in the field of operation of ship electrical power systems.

This article presents an analysis of the possibilities of using a hybrid system consisting of a photovoltaic installation and energy storage in the form of hydrogen, used only in off-grid mode. This system to be implemented in buildings with an irregular energy profile to maximize the utilization of the generated solar energy and increase the share of green energy in buildings with non-standard energy consumption.

A new approach of tripping single-phase faults in networks with an isolated star center to preserve the operation of compressors in the event of a fault is considered. A solution was found for tripping compressors by the protection relay in case of external damage to the plant's power supply network.

The article presents analysis of the potential for increased household energy efficiency, diversification of suppliers and renewable hydrogen production, as potential drivers towards greater European energy independence. It is a companion piece to an article [1] that we presented at the 14th BulEF conference on the Russo-Ukrainian conflict and its implications for a deepening of European energy integration. In our upcoming work, we present the relevant statistical data and develop projections, regarding the likelihood of achieving energy independence only through these three strategic approaches. Our conclusion is that it is highly unlikely that gains in these areas alone would be sufficient to offset the loss of Russian energy imports by the year 2030, as pledged by the Commission on March 8, 2022.

The paper presents a comparison study of electrical insulating materials produced by two different manufacturers. Materials were tested according to the standard IEC 60243–1. The compliance of the materials to the manufacturer's specifications was tested. Comparisons between the materials were made through statistical hypothesis testing. Conclusions have been drawn for the procedure described in the standard for interpreting the test results.
