It is indicated that the Sustainable development of Goals are laid down by the UN in the "Agenda for the XXI century" are being successfully implemented in Kazakhstan. The methodological basis of the research was the methods of abstraction, scientific analysis, synthesis of the information received, system analysis, expert vision of the problem, as well as empirical methods: observation, comparison, identification of cause-and-effect dependencies. It is noted that the tourism industry in Kazakhstan has begun to recover after the pandemic. In the global ranking of tourism competitiveness, the position of the country is improving, Kazakhstan has received a high rating on such indicators as "price competitiveness", "seasonality of tourism", "natural resources", "number of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites". However, the industry needs significant investments, the growth of income rate of the industry lags behind the GDP of country, and the pace of investment in the tourism industry lags behind the pace of investment in the country's economy as a whole. Digitalization and marketing of the industry are being actively implemented to solve problems, online platforms are being created, resources of popular social networks and platforms of world-famous information portals are being used.

Professional tourism education in the field of tourism has recently entered the problematic area of pedagogical research, but it should be noted that by now clear results have been achieved. An important and significant feature of educational activities at a university with a tourism profile is innovation and creativity. Educational learning activity is characterized not only by a certain dynamics, a set of alternatives, but also qualitatively new functions that are not only found in the world, but also confirmed personally in the educational process. When studying and researching the educational process, the motivational direction, orientation and aspiration of the subject to activity are taken into account. The processes of regionalization in modern Kazakhstan have created the need to apply and introduce a national and regional component in the training of specialists, which, of course, is aimed at determining the self-determination of students, the formation of national identity and education based on the cultural traditions of their peoples, understanding and knowledge of the peculiarities and specifics of the region where their work will be carried out.

This paper touches upon one of the current problems – the involvement of numerous monuments of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan in the tourism industry. Cultural and educational tourism has a significant prospect for further development, being a tool for raising people's awareness of the history and culture of the peoples of Kazakhstan, establishing a dialogue between representatives of different nationalities and religions. The purpose of this work is to show the importance of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan for the development of tourism on the example of such objects as Ak Bauyr, Berel, Issyk. The authors come to the conclusion that these monuments, as well as similar ones, have a further prospect of use in the development of domestic and inbound tourism in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The tourism industry has undergone a remarkable transformation due to the advent of digital technologies. This has led to a complete revolution in tourism enterprises, products, and experiences, as well as the entire business ecosystem and destinations. Digitalization has also reshaped the conventional roles of both tourism producers and consumers, giving rise to new roles, relationships, business models, and skill sets. The emergence of digital platforms has significantly expanded the array and quantity of tourism offerings, services, and experiences. The on-demand functionality of these platforms has accelerated the pace of economic transactions, market awareness, and feedback mechanisms, further fueling the growth of the tourism sector. Kazakhstan, a vast and diverse nation, is increasingly positioning itself as a sustainable tourism destination. In this article, we delve into the opportunities and challenges presented by the integration of digital technologies in the context of sustainable tourism development in Kazakhstan. Referring to relevant studies and data, we draw attention to the fact that digital tools can increase government revenue, marketing and development methods.

The article describes the history of the discovery and study of two monumental sites of Tibetan Buddhism of the 17th –18th centuries, the study of which began in the 19th century, but continues today. The “Tekeli stele” (Kelinshektas stone) with images and inscriptions engraved on it dates back to the end of the 17th century is one of the earliest cult monuments that appeared in the Semirechye during the existence of the Dzungar state. “Kegensky Arasan” is a healing mineral spring, which originally also served as a place of worship for Oirats-Buddhists in the late 17th – mid-19th centuries, later acquired the significance of a sacred place in the culture of the Kazakhs. The beginning of the scientific study of both sites is associated with the name of the famous orientalist and amateur archaeologist N.N. Pantusov (1847–1909).

In the modern realities of independent Kazakhstan, local history research is of considerable interest in theoretical and practical terms. The topic is particularly relevant to the adopted State Program "Rukhani Zhangyru", which states that in order to develop the spiritual and educational sphere, it is necessary to recreate and research significant historical, cultural and architectural monuments of particular importance for the study of the region. This article presents the history of regional museums, the stages of formation, development and activities of the museums of the Ulba Metallurgical Plant and the Department of Emergency Situations. The role of these museums in the objective study of the historical and cultural appearance of the native city and in the formation of feelings of love and respect among students for the "small homeland" is shown.
