Several designs have been introduced to implement a microwave sampler. However, the approach to this issue has been almost completely empirical. This paper provides an effort to simulate an SPD (sampling phase detector) and illustrates the difficulties encountered in this process. The simulation and measurement of the constructed module, accompanied by a brief theoretical investigation give a new insight into the performance of the sampling device.

This paper first gives a general outline of mechanisms for human recovery, including rest, diet, and therapeutic starvation. It then goes on to describe the use of low intensity microwave and mm-wave radiation for biological/biomedical applications. This includes: radiation therapy; cancer treatment; growth enhancement in the fish industry; and microwave treatment of seeds for increased viability and growth.

Considered in this work is the microwave heating of a semi-infinite dielectric layer at a known surface distribution of microwave power. The paper presents calculation results of the temperature in a dielectric layer for a single microwave radiator, as well as for a multi-element radiator system. We present an analytical discussion of the 2D task concerning the non-stationary thermal conductivity for a semi-infinite dielectric layer, when the plane electromagnetic wave is incident on its surface. For the wave, the power surface distribution is assumed to be known. The basic requirement, specific to microwave heating plants, is temperature field uniformity for the whole volume of processed material or some of its parts. In order to obtain uniform microwave heating of the object, we used a multi-element radiating system, located above its surface. The experimental results show that multi-element radiator systems allow us to obtain a more uniform temperature distribution, compared with single radiators.
