Objective: This study sought to investigate, from the perspective of Game Theory, the reasons for the “non-cooperation” of certain groups that depend on a specific reservoir for water supply, considering the influence of economic incentives.
Method: Public good game experiments were carried out with 60 recyclable material collectors, 63 indigenous people, 55 university students and 68 professional fishermen. Subsequently, semi-structured interviews complemented the data collection strategy.
Results and conclusion: Among the main results, we can mention the opportunistic behavior in the group of collectors, sociocultural issues in the indigenous context, the perception of inequality of earnings among students, individual work and independence from the group, in this case of fishermen. It appears that understanding this multiplicity of factors involved in the decision not to cooperate can encourage new discussions regarding the formulation of policies aimed at preserving public goods, going beyond the mere use of punishment and reward based on inspection actions.
Originality/value: The need to understand the context of these groups, and others equally benefiting from certain public goods, would be valuable to reduce non-cooperative behavior.

Purpose: In the present work, the 2D design of H-Darrieus turbines with a diameter of 900 mm and NACA blades 0018, 0025, 2415, and 4415 has been carried out for the solidity values of 0,5; 1 and 1,5. In order to know its maximum performance. Method/design/approach: The 2D simulations were developed with the ANSYS® FLUENT package in the transient state, varying the angular velocity (ω) for a peak velocity ratio (TSR) of 1 to 7 and the SST K-ω turbulence model, for a constant water flow rate of 1 m/s. This in order to know the results of the torque (Nm) generated and thus calculate the power coefficient (Cp). Results and conclusion: The NACA 0018 blade reached a power coefficient of 0,604 for a solidity of 0,5, followed by NACA 2415 blade at the same solidity with a maximum Cp of 0,594. On the other hand, the NACA 0025 blade for solidity of 1 reached a maximum Cp value of 0,570, while the NACA 4415 profile with a solidity of 1,5 obtained a maximum value of 0.495. Research implications: These results of maximum Cp values were given in a TSR range of 2 to 4 with a mean value of 3,5 for NACA profiles 0018 and 2415. Thus, evidencing the behavior of this type of turbine reaching maximum values to then begin to decrease. Originality/value: The present work contributes to the understanding of the impact of geometrical parameters on the operating coefficient of H-Darrieus.

Theoretical benchmark: Starting from a theoretical framework that addresses the multiplicity of roles inherent to the Social Educator, we wanted to understand the work developed by five undergraduate interns from the Social Education course at a higher education institution in Portugal, who stayed for four months, February to May, in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years in various institutions, in São Tomé and Príncipe.
Method: Qualitative study, informed by descriptive and interpretative characteristics, seeks to understand and describe behaviors, feelings and ways of thinking and acting of the subjects participating in the study.
Results and conclusion: The paths followed by the interns, in their multiple roles, were an added value, making visible the importance of the role of the Social Educator in developing countries and, in particular, in the exercise of full citizenship in demanding and complex contexts that are aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is called for an increase in internships in the context of international cooperation, in developing countries.
Research implications: Need for the Social Education technician in developing countries, and especially in São Tomé and Príncipe.
Originality/value: Research carried out in São Tomé and Príncipe to highlight the valorization of the role of women, since this group was only female, in order to contribute to the reduction of socio-educational problems, associated with female and child poverty, which they still have a lot of expression on the Island of São Tomé and Príncipe.

Objective: Determine to what extent environmental education workshops mitigate the environmental problems of the Madre de Dios region - Peru. Theoretical framework: The currents that stand out most in environmental education are: conservationist, naturalistic, systemic, scientific, decisive, humanistic and moral-ethical. Methodology: Applied quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design and explanatory level, the units of analysis were two independent samples (control and experimental group), made up of students from a regular basic secondary institution in the Madre de Dios region, the The technique was observation and the instrument was the checklist. Results and conclusion: The environmental education workshops significantly mitigate the environmental problems of the Madre de Dios region, since the p-value associated with the Mann Whitney U statistic (Sig. Asymptotic) is 0.000; This value is less than 0.05, then at the 1% significance level; The total scores are different in both groups after carrying out the environmental education workshops with the students. Implications of the research: Environmental education in regular basic education contributes to the practice of environmental values, since it seeks through problematic situations to make the relationship between the learning contents and the reality of the context that surrounds the students. These, in turn, build their representations of reality and begin to commit more consciously to their individual and collective actions in the environment in which they live. Originality/value: The article offers results from the application of environmental education workshops to mitigate environmental problems in the Madre de Dios region of Peru.

Objective: This article aims to understand the process of setting up the GMCCS and its prospects for the sustainable development of the communities living in the territory. The following research questions are posed: a) How did the prospecting of UGGps take place in the LAC region? b) How did the process of recognition and approval of the GMCCS take place? c) How has the GMCCS contributed to the sustainable socio-economic development of the towns that make up the territory?
Method: In order to achieve the above objectives, the state-of-the-art methodology was used, together with bibliographic and documentary research, to understand the conception of the idea of geoparks in the international context and their dissemination around the world.
Results and conclusion: As a result, it was found that the territories that have been recognized, including the GMCCS, have proved to be effective and sensitive tools for the socio-economic development of their respective communities, although the prospecting of geoparks in LAC is still happening slowly and gradually.
Research implications: UGGps (UNESCO Global Geoparks) aim to promote the sustainable development of local communities. The GGN (Global Geoparks Network) currently has 177 accredited territories around the world, ten of which are in the LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) region. The research shows that the territory of the UNESCO World Geopark Caminhos dos Cânions Sul is moving towards promoting sustainable development in its territory.

Objective: Diagnose the perception of education professionals, members of an education research group, about the initial training of teachers for the development of environmental practices in basic education.
Method: This study is qualitative and descriptive in nature and constitutes a field research; having as a data collection instrument the use of a semi-structured questionnaire, containing 10 closed questions, guaranteeing the ethical anonymity of the responding subjects (15 responding teachers). In view of this, qualitative analysis was adopted as a method of scientific articulation between data and foundations of scientific-academic literature.
Results and conclusion: The results point to the value of guiding environmental practices in the initial training of teachers, since this is a contemporary cross-sectional theme, subject to a plurality of interdisciplinary knowledge to be worked on in the school context, which provides opportunities for the link between different educators and areas of knowledge, elucidating the appreciation of the environment.
Research implications: In this perspective, the respondents consider the value of including the environmental theme in the initial training of teachers, contributing to the rise of environmental education in basic education.
