Primary intracranial malignant melanoma is an extremely rare tumor. Most of the intracranial malignant melanoma aremetastatic from skin. Diagnosis needs multidisciplinary workup to exclude metastatic melanoma. We are reporting acase of young girl with decrease consciousness and tetraplegia. CT scan revealed a solitary tumor mass in the brain.Histopathological examination and confirmed by immunohistochemistry showed that the type of tumor was intracranialprimary malignant melanoma and by excluding metastatic melanoma. Tumor excision was performed in patient andadjuvant chemotherapy was given, but residual tumors were present multiple.

Ischemic-reperfusion injury is defined by a condition of hypoperfusion in the spesific organ followed by reperfusion(reoxygenation) inducing tissue damage. Tissue damage produces reactive oxygen species (ROS) leading to oxidativestress condition. Oxidative stress mediate the lipid peroxidation reactions, harm the cell and finally facilitate the celldeath. The aim of this study was to evaluate the histopathologic feature of white rat’s pancreas post renal ischemiareperfusion.This study was an experimental laboratory research with post-test-only control group design including 20male white rats. Rats were divided into 5 groups, control, treatment 1 (45 minutes ischemia), treatment 2 (45 minutesischemia followed by 1 hour reperfusion), treatment 3 (45 minutes ischemia followed by 2 hours reperfusion) andtreatment 4 (45 minutes ischemia followed by24 hours reperfusion). We found the change of the histopathologicalcharacteristics of white rat’s pancreas in term of edema, leukocyte infiltration and vacuolization.

Allergic rhinitis should be considered as a serious condition because it can affect the quality of life of patients. In manycases, the most common allergen is house dust mites (HDM). The purpose of this study was to describe the density ofhouse dust mites as triggers of allergic rhinitis in Pekanbaru orphanage children. This is a descriptive study with across sectional approach. Data obtained from interviews using the modified International Study of Asthma and Allergiesof Childhood (ISAAC) questionnaire to know the allergic rhinitis status and examination of house dust samples toidentify HDM in the parasitology laboratory. Sampling was carried out in 4 orphanages Pekanbaru. Allergic rhinitissymptoms were experienced by 81.2% of children in the orphanages and HDM was found with the mean density 9.11/g of dust. HDM was found in all four orphanages and was found to have a high incidence of allergic rhinitis.

Communication in the health sector plays an important role in the context of educating people and the society. Theemphasis is rely primarily on promoting health so that behavior changes occur. One of the example is a governmentprogram “GEMARIKAN” which was designated to increase fish consumption in the community. Unfortunately, thetriumph upon this programme is overshadowed by the potential transmission of zoonotic infections of the nematodeworm named Anisakis spp. This worm can caused a potentially fatal and deadly disease called anisakiasis. This risk canbe reduced by re-conducting numerous education in the community regarding these parasites, their life cycles, its hostbehaviors and lifestyles that can facilitate transmission such as eating fish in raw conditions and the need of goodhandling practices of fish to avoid transmission to occur.

Immune function will decrease with age. The weakening of immune system is known as immunosenescence.Macrophages that play a major role in carrying out innate and adaptive immune functions have potential to undergoaging (macrophaging). Some potential mechanisms that can affect the aging of macrophages include telomereshortening, oxidative damage and impaired DNA repair processes. The impact of macrophaging can be a decreasenumber of macrophages in bone marrow, changing cytokine secretion, decreasing class II MHC expression, changingmacrophages polarization, decreasing ability of phagocytosis, and decreasing ability of wound repair and tissueregeneration.

Data dianalisis dengan one-way ANOVA (p<0,05).

Ada juga perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrolstres dan kelompok CeA600 (p <0,05), tetapi tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok perlakuan (p> 0,05).Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun C. asiatica meningkatkan ekspresi SOD-2 pada sel Purkinjecerebellar tikus setelah stres kronis.","PeriodicalId":385518,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmu Kedokteran","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132736256","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
