Abstract This study adopts a research model founded on multiple theories to investigate potential influence of source credibility (SC), argument quality (AQ), self-efficacy (SEF), tolerance of ambiguity (TA), locus of control (LOC), and perceived usefulness of information (PUI) on individuals’ information-seeking behavior (ISB) of disaster information from social networking sites (SNSs). The structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis of 312 global responses reveals that, overall, individuals infrequently seek behavior about disaster information from SNSs. In addition, the source and content quality (SAQ) and SEF that emerge are significant antecedents of PUI, which in turn is a significant determinant of ISB. These findings and their implications are further discussed in the paper.

Abstract One of the promising directions for the development of open access is the conclusion of Transformative Agreements, information about which is registered in ESAC. Signed Agreements are systematized and analyzed according to the following criteria: publisher, country, university consortium, and Number of Annual Publications. Universities of Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, the UK, Ireland, and the USA are the most active in concluding ТА. The application of the agreements allowed for September 2020–October 2021 to increase the Number of Annual Publications by 1.8 times. The research results allow to assess the impact of Transformative Agreements on the open access movement.

Index (SCI) revolutionized the organization and discovery of scientific information through indexing and linking. SCI and Journal Impact Factor (JIF) are still the main pillars of indicating the weight and importance of scientific information published which as a result exhibits the quality of the published work. Driving Science Information Discovery in the Digital Age provides an overview of the current scientific publishing trends as well as the practical concepts and tools that librarians can employ right away. This book is highly recommended. H. Chris Chang Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL hcchang@tiu.edu

Abstract The rapid shift to online instruction at academic institutions due to the COVID-19 pandemic increased demand for streaming media resources offered by academic libraries. This shift prompted many academic libraries to employ new methods to provide access to streaming content. The authors sought to survey academic libraries with the purpose of assessing activities libraries participate in regarding streaming video acquisitions. This article examines the results of a survey the authors created and distributed to academic libraries in the United States. By sharing these results, the authors aim to provide useful information for others who manage streaming video collections.

tional approaches toward data literacies. This book is written for researchers and students in higher education, data professionals, and academic librarians. It is a good compilation of the current challenges and issues related to research data management, and provides the technical and theoretical underpinnings of the research life cycle, data in its many forms, and the various data literacies necessary as part of any data professional’s or academic librarian’s toolkit.
