Strengthening Writing Skill Using Duolingo and Grammarly Di Panti Asuhan Tat Twan Asi Denpasar 在登巴萨 Tat Twan Asi 孤儿院使用 Duolingo 和 Grammarly 加强写作技能

This Community Service Activity aimed to improve English language mastery skills, especially the acquisition of vocabulary and grammar and continued with the Grammarly application to enhance grammar to a more advanced level.  This activity was carried out at Tat Twam Asi-Denpasar Orphanage and was attended by 22 participants who were children from the orphanage who were middle and high school students. The Duolingo and Grammarly applications were chosen because these two applications are quite easy to use and can be downloaded and installed on cell phones and personal computers. This activity can be carried out on the spot because of the stable internet network at PKM partners. This activity was carried out for 2 days, where the first day was the Duolingo application activity and the second day was the Grammarly application. The results of this activity show that the participants have enthusiasm for learning vocabulary and grammar which the participants need at school and will then use when the participants have jobs in the future.

Menyediakan Panduan Pengambilan dan Penanganan Contoh Air Plankton Bagi Mahasiswa dan Peneliti Pemula 为学生和研究新手提供采集和处理浮游生物水样的指导

Menyediakan Panduan, Pengambilan dan, Penanganan Contoh, Air Plankton, Bagi Mahasiswa, dan Peneliti Pemula
Tujuan dari penulisan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah menyediakan panduan  pengambilan contoh air plankton bagi mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah planktonologi dan peneliti pemula tentang plankton. Metode penyediaan panduan pengambilan dan penanganan contoh air plankton dilakukan melalui studi pustaka.  Pustaka yang diperlukan merupakan semua pustaka yang mempunyai kaitan dengan atau seluruh atau sebagian isinya  tentang pengambilan dan penanganan contoh air plankton. Berdasarkan studi pustaka diperoleh sumber plankton net berasal dari buatan pabrik dan buatan lokal. Jenis plankton net buatan pabrik terdiri dari Nansen, Norpac dan Kitahara. Pengambilan dan penanganan contoh air plankton dilakukan dengan cara horisontal, miring, vertikal dan penyaringan. Contoh air plankton diambil sebanyak 1 – 25 L tergantung lokasi perairan  dan disaring dengan plankton net. Contoh air plankton yang tertampung di bucket plankton net dipindahkan atau dituangkan ke dalam botol sampel. Contoh air plankton di dalam botol sampel agar tidak rusak dan bertahan dalam jangka waktu yang lama maka harus ditambahkan dengan bahan pengawet. Bahan pengawet yang digunakan harus salah satu dari lugol, formalin dan alkohol.

Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat kali ini berfokus pada peningkatan kinerja UMKM melalui pemanfaatan digital marketing dengan pelatihan penggunaan marketplace dan sosial media. Mitra dalam pengabdian ini adalah Usaha Tahu Pong Pak Sumantri yang terletak di Binjai, Sumatera Utara. Harapan dengan adanya pelatihan pemanfaatan digital marketing ini dapat meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi masayarakat, khususnya pada ketrampilan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam kegiatan marketing secara global. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah peningkasan area pemasaran, pemesanan produk dari konsumen dan peningkatan manajemen pemesanan produk dengan implementasi teknologi informasi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pembuatan aplikasi marketplace dan sosial media. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendampingan, penyuluhan dan pelatihan penggunaan marketplace yang meliputi desain iklan, upload konten iklan di aplikasi marketplace, dan manajemen pemasaran.

Electrical installation learning is the process of understanding how to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems. This includes an understanding of basic electrical principles, safety codes and standards, and best practices in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment. This study aims to evaluate the effect of using media trainers in practical learning of commercial electrical. Installations on the learning outcomes of electrical engineering education students. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent design. The samples for this research were two groups of students, each consisting of 10 people. One group received learning using trainer media, while the control group received conventional learning. Learning outcome data is collected through a final test which includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. The results of data analysis show that the use of media trainers significantly improves student learning outcomes in all aspects measured compared to conventional learning. The implication of these findings is the importance of using technology in supporting practical learning in the context of electrical engineering education.

Food Additives in general are to increase the nutritional value of food, improve the aesthetic and sensory value of food and extend the shelf life of food. There is abuse  of food additives which can endanger consumers, such as adding borax and formaldehyde to food. This community service activity is an effort to increase elementary school students' knowledge of dangerous BTP using laboratory experimental methods. The results show that there is an increase in students' knowledge of dangerous food additives.
食品添加剂一般是为了增加食品的营养价值、改善食品的美观和感官价值以及延长食品的保质期。滥用食品添加剂会危害消费者,如在食品中添加硼砂和甲醛。这项社区服务活动旨在利用实验室实验方法,增加小学生对危险的 BTP 的了解。结果显示,学生对危险食品添加剂的认识有所提高。

This community service aims to: (1) Provide education and training regarding Geogebra-assisted learning development to training participants (teachers), (2) Increase motivation and good mental attitude, to develop their own teaching modules. This community service was carried out at SMP1 Parulian Medan. The partner in this activity is SMP Parulian 1 Medan. The methods in this community service are: (1) Analyzing the situation and needs, (2) After analyzing the situation and needs, the next step is to set PKM objectives, (3) Designing training, mentoring and workshop models, (4) Expert validation, (5) Implementation, (6) Evaluation The results of this activity include: (1) the participants understand and can create teaching materials in the form of modules, worksheets, (2) the participants' motivation to create their own teaching modules increases.

This service activity aims to improve students' mathematical abilities in learning mathematics through training on the use of orange peel media in realistic mathematics learning. Technically, the implementation of the designed training activities is as follows: 1) Planning. At this stage, the team identified problems that occurred by observing the school and interviewing students directly. This aims to find out students' opinions and the obstacles they face while participating in class learning. From the results of these interviews, the team concluded that the topic of discussion that many students had problems with was the concept of building space. 2) Preparation. The team held discussions with teachers at the service site to determine the subjects involved and confirm the prerequisite material. Apart from that, tasks are distributed to teams so that learning can run optimally and be enjoyable. 3) Implementation. The implementation of the service was welcomed by the Principal and Mathematics Teachers. Mathematics teachers are also involved in guiding students using orange peel media when the service is carried out. 4) Evaluation and Reporting. Sasaran pelatihan dalam kegiatan penulisan artikel ilmiah ini adalah guru-guru SMA/MA dan SMK di Kota Bengkalis.  Guru-guru SMA/MA dan SMK di Kota Bengkalis masih kesulitan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dan mencari jurnal-jurnal yang akan dirujuk sebagai referensi berdasarkan hasil wawancara. Tujuan kegatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah bagi guru-guru, khususnya guru sekolah menengah atas baik SMA/MA dan SMK di Kota Bengkalis. Metode penerapan dengan 3 (tiga) tahapan yaitu: (1) persiapan, (2) pelaksanaan dan (3) pelaporan. Hail kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa dari lima pernyataan yang diajukan semua  peserta  memberikan  respon sangat puas 85,88 %,  dan puas 14,12 %. Selain itu  peserta menyarankan  beberapa hal antara lain : (1) waktu pelaksanaan pelatihan lebih lama,  (2) pelatihan penulisan artikel ilmiah dilakukan secara berkesinambungan,  (3) terbentuknya forum karya ilmiah bagi gur; serta (4) pelibatan  akan jumlah  guru dari mata pelajaran dan satuan pendidikan lainnya perlu ditambahkan. Dengan demikian maka perlu untuk dilakukan kembali kegiatan pelatihan penulisan artikel ini di tahun depan dengan durasi yang lebih lama.

This community service investigates the impact of Wattpad, a social media platform, on students' interest, creativity and digital literacy within the framework of the digital literacy movement. Results show that Wattpad positively influences students' engagement in reading and writing, offering a space for aspiring writers to showcase their ideas and fostering constructive communication between writers and readers. Wattpad's digital literacy potential is clear in its aspirations as a digital service provider, helping students access diverse literary content and resources. This study emphasizes the need for careful management of content to conform to moral and literacy standards. Wattpad has tremendous promise as a digital literacy tool, especially in educational settings. Integrating Wattpad into formal education curricula can offer deep literacy experiences, foster creativity, critical thinking, and meet the needs of the ever-evolving modern digital world. In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of digital literacy in the current era and positions Wattpad as a valuable tool for developing literacy skills, creativity, and fostering a love for reading and writing among students.

Empowerment of Santriwan Through Scabies Transmission Prevention Training and Promotion of Clean and Healthy Living 通过疥疮传播预防培训和促进清洁健康生活,增强 Santriwan 的权能

The implementation of training programs aimed at students, instructors and the school community while at the Islamic boarding school is the main subject of this research. The program efficiently promotes healthy lifestyle choices such as quitting smoking, washing hands with soap, eating healthy snacks, exercising regularly, eliminating mosquito larvae, and disposing of trash properly. Through a variety of techniques, including discussion, debate, practical exercises, and assessments, the program effectively disseminates knowledge and ensures that it is put to use. Santriwan are considered agents of change who promote good behavior and advance public health. In summary, this study highlights the effectiveness of training programs in improving scabies prevention and highlights their potential to serve as a model for broader public health campaigns. More than just spreading knowledge, the project's primary goal is to promote behavior change by giving Santriwan the tools they need to make healthy lifestyle choices, have a positive impact on their environment, and improve the overall health of the community.
