Assess The Potential Protective Effect of Germinated Tiger Nuts on Some Biochemical and Histopathological Markers in Hepatotoxicity Rats 评估发芽虎坚果对肝毒性大鼠一些生化和组织病理学标志物的潜在保护作用

A current study was undertaken to evaluate the potential hepatoprotective effect of germinated tiger nuts (GTNs) on the betterment of some biochemical and histopathological markers in hepatotoxicity rats. Fifty rats (200±7g) were exploited and haphazardly separated into five groups (n=7). Group 1 was employed as a negative control group (normal rats). Group 2 (positive control group) was injected intraperitoneal (IP) with CCl 4 at a dose of 2 ml/kg of b. wt. once/week for 6 weeks and fed on the basal diet lone. The remaining three groups (3, 4 and 5) were IP with 2 ml/kg of b.wt. of CCL 4 once/week (6 weeks) and fed on the prepared diet with GTNs at levels of 5, 10 and 15% respectively. In comparison with the normal rats, positive rats have a significant decrease in body weight (BW), relative body weight gain (RBWG%) and feed consumed (FC), as well as activity of CAT, SOD and GPx enzymes in liver tissues. There is a significant increase in serum levels of AST, ALT, ALP, albumin, Cr, UN, UA, total lipids, TG and TC, as

Effect Of Cholecalciferol As An Antioxidant On Hypercholesterolemic Rats 胆钙化醇作为抗氧化剂对高胆固醇血症大鼠的作用

: In recent years, much evidence showed that vitamin D 3 deficiency could be related to several chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. So, the goal of the study is to assess the effect of cholecalciferol on hypercholesterolemic rats at different levels of vitamin D 3 . Methods : Fifty six albino rats were in corporate as follows: G (1) (eight rats) was fed a basal diet, like a negative group. The second main group (48 rats) will be received for 8 weeks (a diet containing 10% sucrose, 0.25%bile salts and 1% cholesterol) to induce hypercholesterolemia in rats. For 8 weeks and divided into six subgroups (8rats each): the first group administrated hypercholesterolemic diet as a positive control group from,( 2 nd : 7 th ) groups administrated on hypercholesterolemic diet and vitamin D 3 with different levels (0.5, 0.1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 mg /kg diet) . Results: The group of hypercholesterolemic recorded a highly remarkable increase in serum CHO,TG,LDL,VLDL,HBA1c , tissue malondialdehyde ( MDA ) and a decrease in serum HDL,Vit D 3 and in tissue SOD and GSH when compared with (-ve)group.But administered with vitamin D 3 at different
