In companies dedicated to fine blanking, commonly dedicated to auto parts production, different phenomena appear throughout the production process of auto parts. One of them is the appearance of residual magnetism on some of the components involved in manufacturing these pieces. This paper describes the analysis and simulation of a coil of a degaussing device applied to a component present in fine blanking dies known as a holding plate. For a successful design of a demagnetizer system, it is mandatory to design the coil capable of exerting the magnetic field required to reorient the residual magnetism present in the fine blanking process. The magnetic properties inherited by the holding plate depend on the material being stamped, the production time to which the die has been subjected, and the corrective and preventive maintenance. This research analyzes the intensity of the magnetic field generated by a coil, the behavior of magnetic lines of the holding plate with residual magnetism when approaching the wind, and the magnitude of the voltage demanded by these through the finite element method.

Due to migration of humans to urban zones, the urban growing has accelerated. Along with this, the consumption of fossil fuels and energy has increased 18%. Therefore, the sustainable urbanism is proposed as a response for the current problems (social, economic, ecological, among others). The purpose of this paper is the research of sustainable technologies that can maximize the use of renewable resources in residential areas, such as rainwater and sunlight. The subjects studied are water collecting roofs, green walls and solar technologies. It was found that the collecting of clean water is optima with this type of roofs, green walls can reduce linearly the temperature in 7 °C and the instantaneous efficiency of solar heaters is about 89%.

It is estimated that there are worldwide proven oil reserves for 53 years of production at its 2012 level where 32.8 billion of barrels of oil (bbp). On the other hand, it was mention about the negative environmental consequences of the use of fossil fuels and the few existing oil reserves, has led to the need to look for renewable alternatives to reduce these problems. For this reason, the production of biofuels is an alternative to minimize the use of fossil fuels and prolong existing reserves, in addition to contributing to reduce the emissions generated by conventional fuels. For this reasons, the generation of agro-energy processes has contributed that different countries seek to boost the production of biofuels because they represent benefits such as: i) a security in the energy supply; ii) reduction of dependence on fossil energy sources; iii) the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions; iv) soil protection through the use of biodegradable products; v) the minimization of the surplus of agricultural production. Nowadays edible and non-edible crops are used for this purpose, but almost 95 % is made of edible crops. This can cause different problems, because they are transforming food resources into automotive fuels, and this could bring global imbalance to the food supply and demand market. The aim of this review was to compare different non-edible crops as a raw material for biodiesel production.

Organic agro-industrial waste represents a global environmental problem, its management represents a solution by transforming organic nutrients into an inorganic form that can be returnedto the agricultural cycle. The process represented here is in charge of the earthworm Eisenia foetida that presents humic substances in the final product which act by amending the structure of the soil, thus improving the development of the plant. The present work is based on the characteristics faced by a producer of earthworm humus as a basis for the raw material coming from organic agro-industrial waste, where 80–90% of it comes from cattle manure, the challenges it faces is to carry out an adequate management to not contain phytopathological microorganisms, and to comply with physicochemical characteristics according to the regulations allowing it to venture into greenhouses for importation. In the results, the presence of phytopathogens, E. Colli and Salmonella was not found, but twelve units are missing to complete the range for N. Y. An analysis of earthworm leaching is presented which results that can be obtained by washing and directly by dragwhich shows that they can make a synergy to achieve a higher quality of it.

Intake of arsenic (As) through the consumption of water or food irrigated with contaminated water has been a health problem around the world. In this work, mesoporous silica as a support material was synthesized by the sol-gel method with the application of a magnetic field reducing the time of its preparation, SBA-15vg. This modification to the synthesis method reduced the sol formation stage from 24 to 5 h while maintaining the textural and properties similar as well as the morphological properties of the SBA-15 and a specific surface area of more than 800 m2/g. In the system Fe/SBA-15vg incorporation into the mesoporous material of different species of iron oxide nanoparticles acting as active sites for the adsorption of inorganic As ions due to the reported affinity with iron species. Arsenic adsorption experiments were prepared in well water samples from a site located in Guanajuato, Mexico, through atomic absorption spectroscopy. The results showed that the Fe/SBA-15vg system could reduce the concentration of As (V) in water with low arsenic concentration and the presence of other heavy metals like cadmium, lead, and chromium.

The dairy industry generates a significant amount, around 150 million tons, of losses and wastes. Particularly, whey requires treatment due to their high nutrient content and therefore, its facility to pollute. This treatment also allows its revalorization. Among the main processes that have been reported are the biochemical ones, where anaerobic fermentation is used to produce ethanol, biological processes with microalgae, for the production of fatty acids and some chemicals, and other processes, such as physical or enzymatic. If these processes are integrated, a biorefinery can be designed where the objective is to obtain a diversity of products from a biomass. Some approaches, to the use of dairy wastes in a biorefinery scheme, were reviewed. There is one biological treatment, insects, which have become of interest due to their high conversion efficiency and wide variety of products, such as protein, biofuels or chemicals, generated from waste. Specifically, black soldier fly larvae have been considered for waste degradation. Based on their advantages, the use of insects in a biorefinery scheme using dairy waste as feedstock was proposed.

Agriculture is essential in human life. However, the COVID pandemic highlighted deficiencies in the way the current system runs nationally and worldwide. The impacts of the crisis in agriculture are related to the supply chain and demand issues. The vulnerability of the system requires a transformation of the agro-food system, with more innovative and sustainable approaches, such as applying the agroecology principles, agrotechnologies, and promoting urban agriculture. It is essential to support local consumption to promote social welfare by investing in infrastructure and technology to produce high-quality food. This work aims to know the problem in the perception of the society around us to generate a dialogue on the issue. The agro-food system concerns us all equally, and we should participate actively either as individuals or in working groups. Furthermore, for the action to be fruitful, we should start to reflect on it and act accordingly.

Due to its location, an offshore structure can be affected by a combination of adverse environmental factors such as strong winds and waves. This work shows the wave spectra applicable to an oil platform located in the coastal area of Tabasco at a depth of 40 m considering parameters associated with a design per operation and winter storms provided in the regulations of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) NRF-003-PEMEX-2007. Wave forces have a strong stochastic component, hence spectral analysis is the most appropriate way to study their behavior under critical conditions. The spectrum used is that of Pierson-Moskowitz, for which wind profiles were constructed by the Law of Powers and the one proposed by the American Petroleum Institute (API 2A-WSD) for different wind speeds. It was concluded that the selected energy spectrum is relatively sensitive to wind speeds, being able to have drastic variations in intervals of 5 m/s approximately.

Frequently emergency services are required nationally and globally, in Mexico during 2020 of the 16,22,879 calls made to 911, statistics reveal that 58.43% were about security, 16.57% assistance, 13.49% medical, 6.29% civil protection, among others. However, the constant traffic of cities generates delays in the time of arrival to medical, military or civil protection services, wasting time that can be critical in an emergency. The objective is to create a connection between the road infrastructure (traffic lights) and emergency vehicles to reduce waiting time as a vehicle on a mission passes through a traffic light with Controller Area Network CAN controller to modify the color and give way to the emergency vehicle that will send signals to the traffic light controller through a controller located in the car. For this, the Controller Area Network Flexible Data (CAN-FD) controllers will be used in traffic lights since it is capable of synchronizing data in the same bus or cable to avoid that two messages arrive at the same time, which could end in car accidents if they are not it respects a hierarchy and the CANblue ll controller that wirelessly connects devices (vehicle and traffic light) at a speed of 1 Mbit / s to avoid delays in data exchange taking into account the high speeds that a car can acquire. It is intended to use the CAN controller for the development of improvements in response times in high-speed data exchange in cities with high traffic flow. As a result of the use of CAN controllers, a better data flow and interconnection is obtained.
