Robust Endmember detection using L1 norm factorization 基于L1范数分解的鲁棒端元检测

The results from L1-Endmembers display the algorithm's stability and accuracy with increasing levels of noise. The algorithm was extremely stable in the number of endmembers when compared to the SPICE algorithm and the Virtual Dimensionality methods for estimating the number of endmembers. Furthermore, the results shown for this algorithm were generated with the same parameter set for all of the data sets, from two-dimensional data to 51-dimensional real hyperspectral data. This indicates L1-Endmembers may lack of sensitivity to parameter value settings.

Automatic and generic mosaicing of satellite images 卫星图像的自动和通用拼接

The CNES (the French Space Agency) has specified and developed a fully automatic mosaicing processing unit, in order to generate satellite image mosaics under operational conditions. This tool, called SIGMA, can automatically put each input image in a common geometry, homogenize the radiometry, and generate orthomosaics using stitching lines.

Advanced classification of UXO using fully polarimetric GPR and frequency-polarization features 利用全极化探地雷达和频率极化特征对未爆弹药进行高级分类

The classification of buried UXO has been a difficult task due to the large amount of false alarms resulted from troublesome clutter objects. This paper closely examined scattering characteristics of such clutter objects by using numerical simulations. From the numerical study, we found that some clutter objects, which mainly causes the false alarms, produce multiple resonances at different frequencies and different polarizations. Based on these observations, we developed new classification algorithms which utilize the frequency-polarization dependent responses of complex targets in order to discriminate UXO-like objects form such trouble some clutters. The developed algorithms were tested by experiments in a test plot. In the test, the new classification algorithms clearly discriminated such clutters from UXO-like targets. In this paper, we present the simulation results for scattering characteristics of complex clutters and the new classification algorithm based on frequency-polarization dependent responses will be discussed. Finally, results from experimental verification will be presented.

Morphological-based source extraction method for HFSW radar ship detection 基于形态学的HFSW雷达舰船探测源提取方法

High Frequency Surface Wave (HFSW) radars are considered for target detection. These systems, commonly used for oceanographic purposes, are of interest in maritime surveillance because of their long range detection capabilities. Unfortunately, the received signals are strongly polluted by different noises. To improve target detection a method based on Morphological Component Analysis (MCA) is investigated. Shortly, this paper introduces HFSW radars and gives an overview of the MCA. Then, numerical results from simulated data illustrate the MCA-based target detection method. Comparisons with classical detection methods based on CFAR techniques (GOCA-CFAR and GOOS-CFAR) are proposed through Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curves.

The European Space Agency (ESA) released a Call for Proposals for the next Earth Explorer Core Mission in March 2005, with the aim to select the 7th Earth Explorer (EE-7) mission for launch in the next decade. Twenty-four proposals were received and subject to scientific and technical assessment. Six candidate missions were selected and further investigated in the preliminary feasibility studies (Phase 0). One of these missions is BIOMASS, which has recently been selected to proceed to Phase-A. BIOMASS is a response to the urgent need for greatly improved mapping of global biomass and the lack of any current space systems capable of addressing this need.

Real-time road traffic monitoring using a fast a priori knowledge based SAR-GMTI algorithm 基于快速先验知识的SAR-GMTI算法的道路交通实时监控

Radar systems operating on high altitude platforms can provide traffic information over wide areas, independent of sunlight illumination and weather conditions. In the paper, a novel a priori knowledge based ground moving target indication (GMTI) and parameter estimation algorithm applicable on single- as well as on multi-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data is presented. Only the intersection points of the moving vehicle signals with the a priori known road axes, which are mapped into the range-compressed data domain, are evaluated. The algorithm needs low computational load and is hence well suited for real-time traffic monitoring applications.

The detection of ships and the retrieval of parameters like vessel velocity, heading and size are important techniques for ocean and shore surveillance systems. Space borne SAR along-track interferometry (ATI) can detect ships for large areas and measure their velocity at the same time by means of interferometric phase. In this paper we report about first results of automatic ship detection using TerraSAR-X ATI.

Recent developments in sparse hyperspectral unmixing 稀疏高光谱分解的最新进展

This paper explores the applicability of new sparse algorithms to perform spectral unmixing of hyperspectral images using available spectral libraries instead of resorting to well-known endmember extraction techniques widely available in the literature. Our main assumption is that it is unlikely to find pure pixels in real hyperspectral images due to available spatial resolution and mixing phenomena happening at different scales. The algorithms analyzed in our study rely on different principles, and their performance is quantitatively assessed using both simulated and real hyperspectral data sets. The experimental validation of sparse techniques conducted in this work indicates promising results of this new approach to attack the spectral unmixing problem in remotely sensed hyperspectral images.

The user interface of the EnMAP satellite mission EnMAP卫星任务的用户界面

The Ground Segment for the future hyperspectral satellite mission EnMAP (Environmental Mapping and Analysis Program) will be designed, implemented and operated by the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The Applied Remote Sensing Cluster (DFD) at DLR is responsible for the establishment of a user interface. This paper provides first issues on design and functionality of the user interface. The user interface consists of two online portals. The EnMAP portal is the central entry point for all users interested to learn about the EnMAP mission, its objectives, status, and results. The EnMAP Data Access Portal (EDAP) provides a set of functions for registered users that will support the international EnMAP user community. The operational services offered through the EnMAP portal will be complemented by a service team, EnMAP Application Support, offering expert advice on the exploitation of EnMAP data.

The Applied Remote Sensing Cluster (DFD) at DLR is responsible for the establishment of a user interface. This paper provides first issues on design and functionality of the user interface. The user interface consists of two online portals. The EnMAP portal is the central entry point for all users interested to learn about the EnMAP mission, its objectives, status, and results. The EnMAP Data Access Portal (EDAP) provides a set of functions for registered users that will support the international EnMAP user community. Hyperspectral imaging phenomenology of genetically engineered plant sentinels 基因工程植物哨兵的高光谱成像现象学

The phenomenology of genetically engineered plant sentinels as measured by spectral imaging remote sensors is investigated. Plant sentinels have been developed to cease chlorophyll production and rapidly turn white in the presence of a chemical inducer such as hazardous chemicals or environmental pollutants. This work investigates the use of spectral imaging technology to detect the de-greening phenomena remotely. Results demonstrate successful detection of the de-greening phenomena even in the presence of benignly stressed plants.
