On one of the panels of the recent exhibition, Videojuegos. Los dos lados de la pantalla (Fundacion Telefonica, 2019), it could be read that "the video game is embedded in many areas, generating a high impact on culture". As a visual expression of modernity, one of its concerns is not only to entertain the general public, but also to be an instrument of awareness and manifestation of the problems of the society in which it is born. Throughout this text, and based on the analysis of the work Emporium (2017), we want to show how loneliness, suicide and uprooting become visible through narratives that reveal the most intimate concerns of human beings, born on this occasion from the personal tragedy suffered by the author. Small works, no longer than 45 minutes, melodic combinations of images and text, in which some of the main concerns of contemporary life, such as suicide, appear as brief introspective brushstrokes.

The formation and consolidation of national identity and communities rest on memory and remembrance of the past. Currently, countries such as the United States, Spain, Poland, Germany, France or the Czech Republic have a memory dispute within them that causes social problems related to the policies and laws of memory. An example is the case of Spain and the case of Law 52/2007, of December 26, which recognizes and extends the rights and measures measured in favor of those who suffer persecution or violence during the civil war and the dictatorship. popularly recognized as the Historical Memory Law that has generated so many debates and confrontations in national politics. The video game is a medium that may or may not contribute to the culture of remembrance. To demonstrate the previous statement, we will analyze different history video games that help to understand the medium as part of that culture of commemoration, building the past and linked to the present, and others that do not help said commemoration and reconstruction of the past in the hypershow format. El presente texto adquiere la forma de introducción del monográfico dedicado a Videojuegos como representación de la problemática social. Nos planteamos la importancia creciente de este formato para posicionar al jugador frente a gran número de problemáticas actuales, que cuestionan y critican aspectos de la realidad política, social o económica. Tal y como han planteado diferentes investigadores, tales como Daniel Muriel, Alberto Murcia o Ian Bogost, mediante este tipo de simulaciones y experiencias, el juego puede contribuir a confrontar nuestra identidad y empatizar con aquello que se nos muestra a través de la pantalla. Se produce un efecto de espejo, en el que las mecánicas y reglas de algunos de los más conocidos títulos videolúdicos, pueden plantearnos dilemas morales que van más allá de ganar o perder una partida.

The Last of Us criticizes our present society from an apocalyptic future that will happen in about thirty years. Unlike videogames such as Detroit Become Human, which criticize our future from a more distant one, or Grand Theft Auto IV, which severely analyzes our present from a fictional one but also being present, Naughty Dog videogames speak of our today from a tomorrow where everything has gone wrong. To do this, Ellie, a girl born after the apocalypse, studies our era through pop culture objects, personal diaries and posters that she finds. He asks Joel about them, who has lived in our time, to draw conclusions. We study how this video game assumes that everything has gone wrong and how it expresses it through its narration.

La estigmatización del individuo que padece una enfermedad mental es frecuente en la sociedad. Unos prejuicios ejercidos desde los ámbitos familiares, educativos y profesionales y donde la imagen, asociada a la violencia y la agresividad, con la que reflejan los medios de comunicación, incluidos los videojuegos, a los pacientes mentales, no ayuda a la comprensión real de trastornos como la depresión, la esquizofrenia, o la ansiedad. En este contexto, los videojuegos serios o serious games ofrecen una representación alternativa desde los que mostrar una imagen de estas enfermedades más cercana a la realidad, buscando al mismo tiempo sensibilizar y la empatía del usuario. A través del análisis narrativo realizado a tres videojuegos -The Town of Light, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice y Celeste- con esta investigación se pretende averiguar qué herramientas se emplean en el ocio interactivo para concienciar sobre un problema social que afecta a millones de personas en la actualidad.

In this paper is discussed the so-called “glass ceiling hypothesis”. The argument says that women's performance and salary levels are artificially limited by reason of sex, instead of due to their preferences when choosing their studies and professional career according to their interests and self-perceived competence. The educational and occupational behaviors of the Spanish population of both sexes during the last two decades are shown here, highlighting that in both cases they offer a stable and consistent structure that can hardly be forced exogenously.

Los profesionales de los juzgados de familia entre ellos jueces y trabajadores sociales actuan en las familias con diferentes relaciones interpersonales conflictivas. Estos profesionales abordan la violencia de genero, la custodia compartida y la mediacion familiar en su practica profesional diaria. Este articulo, basado en una investigacion doctoral mas amplia sobre el trabajo social judicial como ayuda en las crisis conyugales, analiza cualitativamente los discursos obtenidos en entrevistas realizadas a jueces y trabajadores sociales de los juzgados de familia de Madrid y Barcelona. Se reflejan las opiniones mas citadas en la actuacion pericial y judicial, realizando una prospeccion anonima para alcanzar la expresion libre de los profesionales. Los resultados ofrecidos indican que se debe continuar investigando los problemas que se presentan en los Tribunales de Familia, intentando no polarizar el pensamiento sobre temas que son importantes para la organizacion de las familias en crisis.

In this article we analyze the incorporation strategies of the Moroccan youngsters in the province of Bizkaia, using a theoretical approach based in Pierre Bourdieu’s fields theory. Through the analysis of an array of cualitative interviews, we identify the ethnic cultural capital poles that have influence in Moroccan youngsters, and we define two ideal types of incorporation strategies: The ethnic retreat and the assimilation. Through the analysis of an array of cualitative interviews, we identify the ethnic cultural capital poles that have influence in Moroccan youngsters, and we define two ideal types of incorporation strategies: The ethnic retreat and the assimilation.
