Slot Allocation Medium Access Channel (SAMAC), an efficient slot allocating MAC protocol is proposed for predicting the timely channel access for time-critical data operations and also to reduce data congestion. In this scheme the time of non-periodic critical traffic grabs the time slots allotted for the periodic non-critical data traffic. Additionally, Earliest Deadline First (EDF) scheduling algorithm is used to offer efficient channel access in emergency conditions where numerous sensor nodes are prompted concurrently to transmit the periodic time-critical data to the controller. SAMAC protocol is analyzed with the delay in data delivery rates for the time-critical traffic. Simulation analysis is carried out for proving the efficiency of SAMAC in terms of network throughput.

Spectrum sensing is playing a vital role in Cognitive Radio networks. Wideband spectrum sensing increases the speed of sensing but which in turn requires higher sampling rate and also increases the complexity of hardware and also power consumption. Compression based sensing reduces the sampling rate by using Sub-Nyquist sampling but the compression and the reconstruction problem exists. In compression based spectrum sensing, noise uncertainty is one of the major performance degradation factor. To reduce this degradation, compressive measurements based sensing with adaptive threshold is proposed. In this technique compressed signal is sensed without any reconstruction of the signal. When the nodes are mobile in the low SNR region, the noise uncertainty degrades the performance of spectrum sensing. To conquer this problem, noise variance is estimated using parametric estimation technique and the threshold is varied adaptively. In the low SNR region, this proposed technique reduces the effect of noise and improves the spectrum sensing performance.

Network applications demand quality of service for enhanced call quality and increased user satisfaction. Hence, implementing queuing discipline at switches and routers in a network will govern the way packets are buffered while waiting for transmission. Queuing disciplines like first-in first-out (FIFO) queuing, priority queuing (PQ), weighted-fair queuing (WFQ), custom queuing and modified weighted round robin are more prominently deployed in network applications. These queuing disciplines help to control and manage network resources by fixing priorities for specific types of data on the network. The paper aims to analyze the quality of service parameters for various real time applications like File transfer protocol(FTP), email, database, Voice over IP(VOIP), video and web browsing, etc., and helps to optimise the use of available network resources. Moreover the quality of the network is compared using different QoS parameters such as end-to-end delay, throughput, jitter and Mean Opinion Score (MOS). This paper focuses on various queuing disciplines with low and high network traffic.

In the first MPC meeting held on 27.03.20, Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman and the Governor of RBI, Shaktikanta Das announced a moratorium of three months on all loans and credit card instalments due between 1st March and 31st May initially, which was later extended to 31st August, in order to provide relief to the borrowers in the economy, in the current scenario of losses. Loans being on moratorium are supposed to have zero impact on the credit history of the borrower concerned, which means a no default situation. Now, banking sector, which is the backbone of any economy, will have to carry the burden of this year for many more years to come. In this paper, it has been attempted to study the impact of the decision of putting the loans on moratorium on the banking industry of India, adding to the ever existing issue of high NPAs.

Action prediction plays a key function, where an expected action needs to be identified before the action is completely performed. Prediction means inferring a potential action until it occurs at its early stage. This paper emphasizes on early action prediction, to predict an action before it occurs. In real time scenarios, the early prediction can be very crucial and has many applications like automated driving system, healthcare, video surveillance and other scenarios where a proactive action is needed before the situation goes out of control. VGG16 model is used for the early action prediction which is a convolutional neural network with 16 layers depth. Besides its capability of classifying objects in the frames, the availability of model weights enhances its capability. The model weights are available freely and preferred to used in different applications or models. The VGG-16 model along with Bidirectional structure of Lstm enables the network to provide both backward and forward information at every time step. The results of the proposed approach increased observation ratio ranging from 0.1 to 1.0 compared with the accuracy of GAN model.

During the coronavirus pandemic research on video conferencing effects on young language learners is more than ever relevant. During the sharp transition, educators need to fully understand the benefits and possible pitfalls of video conferencing, but also overcome resistance to change through knowledge. As author Philip Pullman rightly points out, “You cannot change what you are, only what you do.” This article summarised key research and provided evidence for and against the use of video conferencing in foreign language education. Thus, it gives food for thought and reflection, as well as directions for possible interventions. However, the research was limited in terms of time and available literature, and the topic certainly requires more attention. In future, it is recommended to further research the use of multimodal interactions (sound, audio, text) in video conferencing, as well as coping strategies for dealing with the lack of interaction in the video conferencing-enabled classroom.
