Epilepsy is the most frequent seizure disorder affecting both social and occupational life of the patients. On the open labour market, these individuals might encounter a number of obstacles, lack of understanding, and limitations. Although epileptic employees do not currently require any adjustments to their working environment in order to improve or perform their jobs, they are often confronted with prejudices, misguided attitudes, stigmatization, and lack of awareness on the part of the employees but also the patients themselves. The presence of epilepsy has multiple implications for occupational life in terms of limited job opportunities on the labour market and decreased chances of getting/maintaining a job.The objective of the present qualitative study was to identify, analyse and describe the experiences and needs of epileptic persons concerning their employment. The study was of an exploratory-descriptive nature and involved 25 epileptic adults (17 women and 8 men) with a minimum of 6 months of occupational experience in their current job. The data were obtained by means of the unfinished sentences method (total of 16 sentences) and were analysed using an interpretative content analysis. The content of the unfinished sentences reflected the following timeline: (1) Link to the disease (4 sentences) – (2) Experiences of epileptic persons with searching for a job (5 sentences) – (3) Experiences with performance of the job (7 sentences). The participants perceive epilepsy as a barrier to their occupational self-actualization, some of the participants consider themselves as persons with health disability. The social dimension included the participants’ experience with meeting people and their desire for a job, which is often inaccessible due to their disease. The participants consider the process of searching for a job a journey full of hardship and hard-earned experience. The factors that affect getting a job are as follows: stage of disease, employer’s requirements, but also personal efforts and luck. An important aspect is the very first personal presentation during a job interview. A decisive aspect is disclosing the diagnosis during a job interview, or concealing the health status in order to get the job. The participants appreciate when the employer allows adjustment to the working hours or home office, or accepts the participants’ health status. The participants agree that an important aspect is positive assessment by their colleagues; they appreciate their helpfulness, fair approach, support and motivation. They appreciate if their colleagues do not show sympathy. One of the problematic aspects related to employment includes fear of seizures, seizures at work, their frequency and intensity. These and other manifestations of the disease (for example unrest, inattention, fatigue and lack of concentration) raise uncertainty and fear of losing the job. According to the participants, a significant barrier is a low level of awareness and the

The paper examines the specificity of authoritarian focus in pedagogues’ professional communications, which can be the source of psychological traumatisation, provoke the development of health deviations among the participants of education process, causing the emergence of functional and chronicle diseases. It is observed, that the authoritarian focus under the conditions of stressful professional reality creates “chronicle” psycho-traumatic atmosphere in professional communications of employee and can provoke emergence of negative emotional experiences (psychogeneses). Important aspect of examined problem is the fact, that authoritarian interactions in activities (learning, professional) can be the reason for emergence of children's didactic geneses and development of neuroses. Pedagogue’s sensibility to the demonstrations of authoritarianism points out the undeveloped readiness to build effective professional pedagogical communications, which can become the source of traumatisation and aggravation of pedagogue’s own didactopathy. The results of empirical study of influence of factor “authoritarianism” on the pedagogues’ occupational health with the author’s technique “Occupational health” are presented. The observed correlation tendencies indicate the phenomenon of authoritarian focus in pedagogue’s professional communications, that’s why the authoritarianism syndrome can be the serious barrier for the progressive professional development of the specialist, the ruining factor to the professional communications, which influence the psychological well being and health state of employee. Pedagogue with authoritarian focus of world perception is characterized by the behaviour, which is based on the belief, that using of own status and authority provides the sustaining of hierarchical subordination, control, security and professional stability.

The article presents the research on psychological factors of personal autonomy as a self-determination need and as a component of psychological well-being. The analysis was carried out in two directions: within in the theory of self-determination and within the theory of psychological well-being.The greatest influence on autonomy development as a self-determination need have such predictors as goals in life, challenge, self-efficacy, self-acceptance, self-assurance, locus of control-life, locus of control-Self. Predictors that positively affect autonomy as a component of psychological well-being are: self-acceptance, acceptance of aggression, self-confidence, creativity, control, self-esteem.The article determines that autonomy as a self-determination need is based not only on self-acceptance with all advantages and disadvantages, but also on existence of a goal in life and personal internal powers to achieve this goal. Autonomy, as it is understood in the theory of psychological well-being, is a necessary, but insufficient condition for self-determination. For formation and development of self-determination it is necessary to have a life purpose that gives meaningfulness to human life.

The article examines disabled-since-childhood adults’ quality of life. Study reveals conflict in empirical data: the respondents declare high level of one’s life quality but they do not have explicit goals in life and focus on seeking social support in difficult situations. Two groups of the respondents who differently assess their quality of life and control over their lives, have contrasting self-perception, and diverge in the existence of one’s life goals are compared.

Strategic documents on education emphasize learning leadership, discuss teachers’ activities related to continuous personal improvement in professional activities: by involvement in improvement of school activities, conducting research, participating in specialized group activities, projects, collaboration with colleagues, etc. Innovative trends of teachers’ professional development are the basis for the development of efficient leadership: a challenge promoting to introduce changes in teachers’ improvement by creating new conditions and possibilities for both teachers and school leaders. It is important for school leaders to ensure coherence between personal and institutional development needs, to create flexible structures while organizing support for teachers and promoting fostering of continuous learning culture in the organization. The research aim is to analyze experiences of heads of departments with regard to teachers’ personal professional development possibilities in their professional activities. The results disclose that teachers ambiguously assess the activity of the head of the department: concrete, individual support, attention, encouragement are emphasised but teachers are against observation and assessment of their activities. This is related to several reasons: teachers’ attitude towards change processes, innovations in teachers’ professional development, competencies of heads of education departments, and general school culture. It is important to create conditions for manifestation of teacher leadership in schools, creating conditions for every teacher to continuously improve the educational process, develop personal competencies, actively and responsibly participate in group activities, get involved in school improvement processes. Middle level leaders, heads of departments, acting as mediators while implementing individual, group and organizational level tasks, promote the development of teachers’ competencies.

The article deals with stress and coping with the stress experienced by social welfare professionals in different social and cultural context. The comparison of inter-professional stressogenity shows that the greatest stress is experienced by the representatives of social sphere professions. The main aim of the article is to disclose the contexts of possibilities for coping with stress experienced by social welfare professionals in Lithuania and Scandinavian countries. Specialists’ (N=12) experience was analysed employing the qualitative data collection method (semi-structured written interview), using open-ended questions according to assessment areas foreseen by the researchers. Reconstructing the context of coping with stress experienced by specialists of social welfare professions of these countries, certain differences showed up: Lithuanian social welfare professionals use the most affordable ways for stress coping in the intrapersonal (physical and emotional) area. Due to a more favourable socio-economic situation in the country, Scandinavian informants have a wider range of stress management possibilities in terms of affordability, content and choice.

Research question. Assuming if we control for the possible effect of students’ gender, age, and employment, are leisure time activities and perceived risks of alcohol use still able to predict a significant amount of the variances in students’ alcohol use? Methods. 1087 students from Lithuanian universities were selected through random sampling to complete the questionnaire on alcohol use, leisure time activities, and perceived risks of drinking. Results. Regression analyses found significant effects of age, gender, employment, some leisure time activities on university students’ alcohol use: frequency of drinking and intoxication, drunkenness last day they had drunk alcohol. In this model, the perceived risks of alcohol use were not significantly associated with alcohol use. Conclusions. Leisure time activities may offer both risk and protective effects for university students. Such leisure time activities as active participation in sports, athletics or exercising, reading of books for enjoyment, various hobbies, decreased going out in the evening to a disco, café, party, etc., and decreased socializing with friends in shopping centers, streets, parks, etc. just for fun can protect university students from frequent and heavy alcohol use.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to establish reading fluency norms for first grade students at the end of the school year in Romanian language using PEAFC (Proba de evaluare şi antrenare a fluenţei în citire/ The Assessment and Training of Reading Fluency Instrument, Bodea Haţegan & Talaş, 2014). A representative sample of 1977 first grade students (with ages between 7 and 8 years old) was assessed, girls (Ng=954) and boys (Nb=1023), from different counties from Romania (Nc=11), attending rural (Nr= 385) and urban (Nu=1592) elementary schools. Oral reading fluency norms were established on the linguistic structure of the words (monosyllabic, disyllabic, three syllable words and text words). The results of this study offer a new perspective on the reading fluency levels at the end of the first gradeand will help the teachers and the specialists to identify students at risk for dyslexia and to start effective early intervention programs to improve reading fluency.
摘要本研究的目的是使用PEAFC (Proba de evaluare i antrenare a fluenţei / the Assessment and Training of reading流利性工具,Bodea Haţegan & talae, 2014)为一年级学生在学年结束时建立罗马尼亚语阅读流利性标准。

TThe article presents the results of the performed analysis of physical health and fitness of students with disabilities during their study at university if they use, in accordance with their medical conditions, the structural and functional technique of adaptive physical education proposed by the authors. The long-term experimental research with the proposed authors’ techniques has shown positive changes in the studied students’ physical health and fitness, which depend on the content and forms of their adaptive physical education. The main directions of improvement of physical health and fitness of students with disabilities during the classes of adaptive physical education are substantiated. The obtained results prove that the variety of medical conditions, accompanying disorders, lack of motivation for motor activity require a personal approach to a person with disabilities, selection of an individual path for his/her physical development. The results testify also to integration of students with disabilities into the student environment where they feel comfortable and more confident.

The article introduces the significance of social worker's assistance to prospective foster parents: a case of an X Lithuanian town. The best place for the child development and improvement is the family. For some reasons not all the children are raised in families. Some children have no possibility to live with their biological families, therefore according to the established legislation, they live in foster homes under the supervision of foster parents or are adopted. Children adoption in our country is regulated by different acts of legislation. The activity of the ombudsperson for children’s rights is governed by the Law on the Ombudsman for Children Rights Protection of the Republic of Lithuania (2000), Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania, Regulations of organization and management of children guardianship (2002), etc. Research aim is to analyze the social service worker's assistance to the prospective foster parents. The following objectives to reach our goal are presented: to analyze theoretical conception of adoption procedure and enforcement; to discuss the system of the social service workers’ assistance to prospective foster parents; to investigate foster parents' approach towards the social service worker's assistance and to reveal the main problems. Research methods: analysis of the scientific literature – scientific analysis of adoption issues. The stages of adoption procedures and the requirements overviewed and analysed are provided; document analysis: documents, acts of legislation, laws and regulations of child adoption regulations are analysed and overviewed; a qualitative study: semi-structured interview, analyzing the foster parents' approach towards the social service workers' assistance; problems and probable solutions are identified. The research results are obtained by content analysis. The article presents the following generalizations: 1) adoption is considered as a social process when specific rights and responsibilities are provided to foster parents in order to guarantee the child's safety.
