The article formulates the research problem: what ideas dominate in architectonics of two laws under scientific analysis (The Human Right to Health of the World Health Organization, Article 12, and parts of the Law on the Health System of the Republic of Lithuania related to the situation of people with disabilities in the healthcare system)? The research methodology is grounded on the ideas of postpositivism and ethnographic approach. The thematic analysis has been chosen as a method of data processing. The findings allow formulating a conclusion that architectonics of legislations of the World Health Organization has a clear jurisprudential foundation; whereas the Law on the Health System of the Republic of Lithuania provides preconditions for various stipulations, which results in people with disabilities facing manifestations of discrimination in Lithuanian system of health care.

The Achilles tendon is the thickest and the strongest tendon in the human body. Many studies, investigating biomechanical properties of plantar flexors muscle-tendon unit after ATR surgery, reported an incomplete calf muscle contractile functional recovery. However, these studies only investigated the plantar flexors muscle function failing to provide information about the adaptive changes in motor strategy. In fact, the development of adaptive changes in motor strategies, due to both mechanical and neural factors, may result in pathological musculoskeletal conditions over the long term. Understanding physiological calf muscle changes due to long-term immobilization may help prevent Achilles tendon re-rupture cases.

The paper discusses the problem of visually impaired teens’ hardiness and its predictors. The results shows that teenagers with visual impairments do not differ from “healthy” peers in terms of hardiness, however, their self-esteem is different to teens with normal vision. Predictors of hardiness are: idealized representations of own health and well-being for blind adolescents; actual self-esteem of happiness and persprctive self-esteem for teenagers with low vision; actual self-esteem of happiness and mirrored self-esteem for “healthy” adolescents.

Media posts spread throughout social networks due to their ability to call the readers to actions which is the sign of their influence. These actions can be considered both as social and communicative. Therefore, they can be studied in relation with other social actions taken by the same users offline: participation in mass protests, purchase of goods, downloading mobile applications, etc.The research has shown that not every share means the readiness for such offline actions. Most often this readiness is observed if media posts on a particular topic are shared through goal-rational actions and at the same time have a high influence on the audience. This influence is assessed by the author’s methodology of determining the interactive potential. The research has also found that while the news is spread among the politically active Ukrainians, the proportion of different types of shares varies depending on the indicator of publication influence on the audience. For publications with high influence indicator, goal-rational and value-based shares are the most typical and if the indicator is low, the affective spreading occurs.

Imprisonment establishments face a challenge to prepare a convict for social integration into society. The presented research is based on assumptions provided by scientists who suppose that single quantitative indicators are not sufficient to measure effectiveness of convict re-socialisation being implemented in imprisonment institutions; it is worth investigating subjective opinions of participants of the process, too. A qualitative research employing a semi-structured interview has been conducted in Šiauliai Remand Prison in 2017; the results of it demonstrate the following: personnel working in social rehabilitation divisions notice changes, progress in the system of implementation of punishment, support the policy of modernisation of imprisonment establishments; however, they lack systematic approach, compliance with the deadlines in implementation of the programmes, observe the problems of workload of the personnel and the lack of competences, environments required for implementation of individualised social rehabilitation of convicts.

The article presents the results of research on images of own future for mothers having children without health problems and with disabilities. The studied time perspective and content of adults’ images show that both groups are future oriented. The differences in the psychological characteristics and time perception of the mothers having children without health problems and with disabilities are the following: the mothers having children with disabilities are more negatively perceive the past and estimate higher the present (both hedonistic and fatalistic); mothers having children without health problems percept the past more positively. The content of images of the future presented by the mothers having children with disabilities is characterized by emphasis on the health of their children and family, on their desire to be more “stronger”, to have more full-fledged life. There is the statistically significant difference between the groups concerning time perception, namely, the mothers having children with disabilities perceive the past negatively and the present (hedonistic and fatalistic) more positively; the mother having children without health problems have a higher level of awareness of life, higher indicators of locus of control, but lower self-actualization, lower personal anxiety; whereas the mothers having children with disabilities have higher self-actualization (especially for synergy and human nature), higher anxiety (both reactive and personal). The peculiarities of time perception are determined by the psychological characteristics of mothers (their awareness of life and its components, self-actualization and its components), which is reflected in multiple correlations.

The analysis of developmental theories of well-being in middle adulthood, concerning women is presented in the paper. The research is based on Ryff`s (1996) conception relating psychological well-being to eudemonic lifestyle as most confirmed. Empirical results reveal how middle aged women`s attitudes toward parents impact on their psychological well-being through 4 basic adult attachment types. Special focus is made on correlations of emotional autonomy from parents, guilt and well-being. The guilt of responsibility is enhanced in middle age, being a mechanism motivating a woman to realize the eudemonic lifestyle (self-realization through care, first of all for aging parents and growing up children).
