This study discusses the form of focalization used in the short story titled Unsu Joeun Nal written by Hyeon Jin Geon. This study aims to identify and analyze the form of focalization used in the short story Unsu Joeun Nal. The data for this study are parts of the text in the short story Unsu Joeun Nal which are considered to show the form of focalization. To achieve the research objectives, this research utilizes Genette (1980) focalization theory as an approach to conduct the research. The analysis results of the focalization forms in the short story Unsu Joeun Nal resulted in the finding that Unsu Joeun Nal showed characteristics of zero focalization and internal focalization form, while the characteristics of external focalization form could not be found. The result also show that the utilization of zero focalization form is more dominant in the storytelling of the short story Unsu Joeun Nal. This is shown through the presence of the narrator who shows all the narrator's characteristics in the form of zero focalization. The utilization of zero focalization has a role in making the reader understand the story conveyed through the various elements in it.

Despite the proliferation of free trade agreements (FTAs), many exporting firms are still confronted with several challenges in utilizing the FTA preferential tariffs. Based on the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework, this study empirically examines the factors affecting the utilization of FTA schemes by exporting firms. To clarify the key factors influencing FTA utilization, this study develops a conceptual model from the perspective of the adoption of information technology innovations. Eight factors derived from the TOE framework are proposed to explore the determinants of FTA utilization in export. Partial least squares structural equation modeling is employed to analyze the data collected from 162 exporting small- and medium-sized enterprises in the South Korean textile industry. The findings reveal that compatibility and trading partner influence are positively associated with FTA utilization, while complexity is negatively related. Factors of organizational context do not show any relationship with FTA utilization. This study is the first to theoretically analyze and empirically test the determinants of FTA utilization from the perspective of technological innovation adoptions. By examining the relative importance of TOE factors in the utilization of FTA schemes, this study expects to advance a holistic understanding on the perceived factors that could potentially affect the utilization of FTA schemes.

This book is edited by Hoe Ee Khor, Diwa C. Guinigundo, and Masahiro Kawai. A number of authors participated to write thirty chapters that constitute five parts. Part I is an introduction and overview written by the editors. This part explains the purpose and methodology of this volume. They argue that while “the Asian financial crisis (AFC) is considered one of the most significant and devastating economic and financial crises in recent history,” the region recovered strongly and the success in surmounting the crisis and implementing reforms made the region more resilient. The title of Part II is “What Happened During the Asian Financial Crisis and the Global Financial Crisis.” It consists of 12 chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction. The other chapters are based on 32 interviews involving interviewees from nine countries in Asia and from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The interviewees were from pivotal organizations engaged in responding to the AFC that included the relevant ministries, central banks, international organizations, and investment firms. Nine chapters from Chapter 2 to Chapter 10 cover Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and China. Chapter 11 is on the IMF and Chapter 12 is personal takeaways from the Asian Financial Crisis.
